This is my FIRST time playing any Silent Hill game and I know very little about the lore surrounding the series. I just know there are creepy crawlers all around, a giant Pyramid Head that chases you, and lots of fog...
Also, James is so calm the entire time. It's disturbing.

If any game that neeeds an extreme remake is all of the Silent Hill games. Yes I know it was announced that there be new Silent Hill games.coming but show some love for the original games which is being played in the 2022s...
No for nothing but how is it that James is the only one getting attacked and not the other NPCs just roam around freely like that..
Could they be apart of the horrors of the game or what ..

Every other NPC except Laura is being attacked by monsters as well.
Laura does not see the monsters. Even though James can interact with her, Laura is in the normal world.

This comment made me debate about whether or not I should pick up my PS5 and go outside so it could find love with the nearest sledgehammer. If this is where the audience for gaming is turning into, then I rather just keep playing on my PS2 and happily live in denial pretending that Sony went out of business during the release of the PS3. What a beautiful world that would be...

None of the silent hill games need remaking. With the possible exception of 4, and of the Janky stuff they have adds to their atmosphere too much.
I'm sick of this attitude that older games are just beta versions of newer games. It's indicative of how people do not view games as art, even many who claim to do so.

The original Silent Hill games - especially 2 - do not need remakes. This mentality kind of infuriates me, treating artistic experiences as disposable and easily replaced.
