Ben, please tell the editors (both Rufus and Dufus) that the audio should be on both channels, I mean left and right. Their sound editing is suspicious...
If you have a good audio on the left channel you just copy it to the right channel and you have a perfectly good mono sound instead of this iritating left-only version...
@@danielburbano556 Maybe there's something better, but after ND4+ and trading you're down the exchange. Definitely better than getting mated, but against Carlsen, well, you're losing anyway

for the second game could white go knightD4 and then you could take his knight but then pawn d4 and you could take it again with your queen or bishop whichever you didn’t take his knight with then his queen takes your queen/bishop?
I have a question. In the game where the Rooks are in the G and H file and Ben moves his Rook to H3, couldn’t white move Queen to H2? No matter how it shakes out, white ends up with a rook and black has knight and Bishop. Probably still winning for black but better than checkmate. Am I missing something or does this work out the way I think it does?

Why didn't he go over King to F5? It may still loose for all i know but it seems to get a little wiggle room to make something happen. I just curious as to what I'm missing besides the fact he was playing Magnus and keeping yourself in the game for a few more moves only inflicts more pain on yourself.

ok boomer
yeah, the kids should have said "ok boomer' but... too early
The fact is, 1990 was one of the last years in which Ben could beat Magnus.
Ben Finegold is the king of dad jokes
I thought he was the queen of them, since he's all over the board.
its funny tho you gotta admit
ive learned nothing from him, i just watch him for entertainment.
He is the Chess dad of King piece jokes.
Yep
Kudos to the parents who are brave enough to drop their kids off to be left to listen to an hour of Ben Finegold's ramblings.
what if the parents or parent wants to get rid of the kid? they'll gladly send them to ben :D
I would definitely let mine, he is awesome
If only the kids were kids and wanted education to be presented to them in a fun way. Oh wait..
I would.

I watch his youtube channel, and he totally kicks ass on lichess.

To fix some sound-problems, i recommend to move the plug a little bit out, so you have the signal on both sides, if you use headphones.

"Nahh. Mono, in the left channel. People love that."
Question: at 17:02, what's wrong with Rad1 with some counterplay on queen.

It's not a win for white. If queen takes C6. All black has to do is Bis to D7 and now ur attacking whites queen and Bis. It's a lost for white.

1. Bh4 gxf3
2. Qxc6, threatening the rook on a8, and also attacking the pinned knight on f6 to maintain material parity.
fibonacci112358s the only way to mantain material balance is to take the rook on a8 - rook for two knights. But black will play Qxd2, fxg2, Bh3, Ng4, black pawn will stay on g2 and all this is not pretty.
Touche - didn't see that after gxf3, the Queen is still attacking the knight, so after Qxd2 there would be two pieces to win back.
I prefer a sneakier way of beating black: 1.Kxe5 Qxd2 2.Qxc6 Rb8 (or Bd7). 3.Qxf6 and now...defend checkmate if you can.
