1:47 You finally made it to the Amtrak Mill River/Springfield (MA) Line in Windsor Locks CT and caught CT Southern's (CSOR) CSO-4 on their afternoon southbound run to their yard in Hartford CT. My go to spot is a few miles up the road in Windsor CT at Hayden Station Rd. Was wondering when you'd show up in my area, too bad our paths didn't cross would have liked to have said hi between trains.
I’m glad you made it to Manassas! I used to tail fan there a lot when I lived up there and it was really cool that you caught the daily rock train as well! Next time you’re in Virginia, try to get to Ashland and Richmond.
Great video. I'm glad you captured the Auto Train. I have taken several trips on that train. I often railfan VRE and Amtrak at the Manassas Amtrak station. Next time you are in the DC area, go to Alexandria, VA; lots of action. That's where the 2 VRE northbound lines merge as well as the Amtrak lines (NS and CSX lines).
I always enjoy your videos, Mike. It's nice to see those CSX locomotives. With its new president, Joseph R. Hinrichs, CSX's devotion to railway safety and training is back in full swing. I've been an on-camera spokesperson for CSX for years.
Hey Mike! Would you consider a video on east coast heritage units? It would be cool to see a recently returned to service NS 8099. Thanks for all the great content!
@CoasterFan2105 Yes, they can be difficult to spot. I'm planning on trying to catch some in Austell, GA soon. NS has a lot of trains there running between ATL, Chattanooga, and Birmingham. NS8099 was spotted there last month.
I love the northeast and I love seeing trains in my state New York and I also like seeing trains in New Jersey and Connecticut cuz New York and New Jersey is part of the northeast and Im from New York
As things stand right now, probably not. I have a bunch of special videos I have to finish for the channel's 15th anniversary next month. If things change and I get some more things completed, it's a possibility.
I have to say that this new East Coast Trains video was definitely worth the wait! Great to see more footage of trains in the DC area, the EBT Railroad, more steam locomotives, and more! I gotta let my new subscribers know how awesome your videos area! It makes me so happy to see more variety of trains on your channel. Also, I’m looking forward to see videos of trains in Canada on your channel! Keep up the good work! I’ll help you reach that 1 million subscriber milestone.
Next stop is the East. Well, you shot many trains, including the SEPTA Regional Rail. Did you find any New Jersey Transit, Metro-North Railroad, and Long Island Railroad trains? I was looking forward to do a train talk episode of these commuter trains.
I caught one NJT train in this video but unfortunately, no LIRR or Metro North. I tried to focus on areas I hadn't previously covered. But, both of those are at the top of the list for next visit.
6:15 I definitely love those brand new Amtrak Acela fleet.
Can't wait to see them running!
@CoasterFan2105 if none of the politics ever came, these trains would've been in service by now
