We are back! How aMAZEing isn´t that?! Sorry for the long absences! Still friends?
Don't forget to follow me over at Twitter twitter.com/WorldofKeralis or Instagram instagram.com/iamkeralis ❤
Ok
Takes more than allergies to tear us apart! 😉 Hope you feel better now when the worst of the spring pollen has settled down...
Friendsies! Missed you Keralis!
Put the chest for the tokens in the middle off the maze so they can’t just get it at the door or make it so they have to find a item in the maze to put in a system to drop a token out
Great to hear you are feeling better. You should get some airfilters in the house. Those definitely help against the allergies.
What are you talking about, “boring”??? You’re doing more than just a couple of buildings…you’re creating a vibe. It’s amazing.
Hear me out Keralis. You should ask Cleo to make a ghost for the Maze to scare people in one of the dead ends. And it should be a leaf-themed ghost. Named BOOsh.
Wow *slow clap* well done.
Also keralis if your seeing this try and make the maze bigger and difficult as I see it a bit easy
Not even 4 minutes in and we got Papa K and Cleo exchanging booshes and crabs.
I would've loved if Keralis' firework from Cub was a white large ball with a black small ball with trails. Every firework would be a beautiful eye.
Those raving crabs are so good, such a good fit to your base! Cleo's armorstand magic always impresses me.
You’d hope she’s good at it because she can’t do anything else 🤣
@@jaydentarrant2596Why do you feel the need to do that? Who hurt you?
@@jaydentarrant2596 1st why would you comment that
2nd pretty sure its not she its they
3rd they are a great builder and storyteller i dont get why you would type that
The insult to Hypno at 9:20 caught me off guard at work and I laughed loudly. Thanks Papa K lmao
The colour palette isn't boring, it keeps the place cohesive and it feels just so good when you're walking around it. There's so many little areas to discover along the way too, like the beehives outside the potential office space. I do wish there was an ocean nearby, I think more water features would work really well.
No, no, no, Keralis. Your build and color palette is not boring. At least not for me. The colors are vivid, and you are using soothing greens all over the place, breaking the monotone with yellows and oranges, and there's the blue sky and blue water. I would say it is not boring at all. Your build is as amazing as always!
Missed you Keralis! Hope you’re feeling better!!❤
Maze seems a bit too easy indeed. How about that maze being a fake maze, they reach the "end" false firework show, trapped chest showing a troll set of instructions? then it DROPS them to the real maze down! That way you can secure the tokens via bubblevators and would add more fun to the experience? Hope he sees this. :D
for a vine shop, maybe a small tree house in the area where you have to climb vines to get up into it? could be fun and add another fun little detail
Easy Rabbit foot: Un-sit a cat you've tamed while you sleep. They bring you things, like phantom membrane, string, zombie flesh, and rabbits feet
Also if you put a ton of them in minecarts they all bring gifts. If they're loose, then one will sleep in the bed with you and only that one brings gifts. Minecarts bypass that
I literally said to myself this morning “man I miss Keralis videos”, good to have you back
To solve your door problem, you could put a set of iron doors between two sets of copper doors, but then you'd have to make a long enough passageway for that to work.
A sure-fire way to get through any maze which has no islands is to follow one wall, right or left.
As for the maze challenge, would tango or etho be up for putting a running clock that would dispense the appropriate coupon upon a "good" completion time?
@@xianartman I think the maze is too small for that to be worth it, bc it'd be too easy to memorise the correct path.
The timer could solve the door problem if the iron door trick doesn't work tho. Add a pressure plate at the beginning, a pressure plate at the end, and if you complete it within the time it dispenses a token. That way it wouldn't work if you just used the door
Maybe a calibrated sculk sensor that is surrounded by wool so it only pulses a signal when it hears someone from the direction of the maze?
Still easy to cheese it by entering the maze from the exit tho
If we dispense the token at the end of the maze with a dropper, we can trigger it with the same pressure plate used for the fireworks and we don't have to worry as much about people stealing?
For the villager bartending in the Bamboo Lounge, maybe toss a Wandering Trader head on him as well as try some Blue Leather Armor pieces to really kit him out in some dapper blue.
Or even get a player head with a headset and shades and dispense it onto the villager
You seem worried that starting with the same theme is too boring, but I love the consistency of the theme. It’s very immersive and I really love the feel of the whole experience. The maze is great. It’s all great. Thanks for sharing your talent!!
when he looks over at the crabs and the eyes are glowing “kinda creepy” lol 😂
I kept hearing "raiding crabs", and a pirate ship manned by crabs would look adorable in the lake
Your doors could have blocks in the way, maybe booshes, that retract underground when you add the token?
I actually LOVE your palette! Its relaxing because its so tropical 🍹🦩 i think the shops having the same palette makes it feel like you're on vacation browsing the little shops by the beach 🏖️😊
There is that beautiful face I have been missing!
I love the maze! If you think it is to easy what I would suggest is to replace the cakes with barrels in the ground that each hold a unique piece of the final token. Then at the end have the hermit put the tokens into a barrel and with some redstone magic the completed token would shoot up for them. The tokens would then be redistributed back to the barrels without any of your input! I think this would make an amazing mini game. I am sure there is a redstone hermit that could come in with the assist!
14:43, diarrhea! Now THAT needs to be put on a horn! 🤣
Glad to have you back.
For the maze....How about putting a roof of leaves on it so you cant see the path from the top when flying.
I love how cub is only asking dimonds when everyone else's says blocks on the end , we love cub and the energy he brings ❤️ we love him even more when he is helping the k Pop's 😆 welcome back btw we missed you.
I love the whole area. It's so dense and it has such a cool vibe. Reminds me of a theme park, almost?
Maze Suggestion: Find a parrot that makes creeper noises to scare people into thinking there’s a creeper nearby. Maybe even have it by an armor stand with green armor and a creeper head just for giggles. 🤭
But make sure there are other parrots nearby so they don’t suspect the noises are a parrot IN the maze
Man, I've missed you!! Glad to have you back, and I know you're super worried about going with a lot of the same pallet, but I actually really enjoy the cohesiveness. I also like that your shops are part of your area. Your base is like a little resort that has it's own shops! Super fun
I've been spending a lot of time in the greenhouses, buying plants this spring. I would love to see you set up a greenhouse tent out back of your sales shop, to display your booshes.
I like the pots by the boosh shop!! Reminds me of actual garden stores, how theres always that section thats just a giant collection of big interesting pots outside
Maybe you could fill a dispenser (or a barrel) with the coupons right before the end of the maze? It could be hooked up to a pressure plate and an extended piston that could let people out of the maze once they've found their way out. That might prevent people from snagging the coupon without doing the maze
Keralis, I hope you are feeling better and that the season is kinder to you from here on out.
Bro finally remembered his TH-cam account password
Lol XD
😂 classic !
🤣
Oh come on, try be a tiny bit nicer. You can clearly see he’s trying!
He has allergies...happens ever year about the same time...try follow K for a while he us worth thw wait to watch...Papa K is awesone
I can't be the only one that starts dancing, when they hear Papa K's Jazzy build music. 😊
today is a blessed day, mumbo, scar AND a keralis upload ?? lets goo
Hey Keralis. Love your videos by the way. You know, to ensure that no one cheates on your maze, you could place some preassure plates througout the maze to so see if someone actually walked through. Like one at the start, a couple in the middle and one at the end, and then one token would be dispensed automatically or something. Also, I think the colour palet of your new shop is not boring. Love your whole area that you've built. You're such an amazing builder. Especially your trees and landscapes are just magical. Keep up the great work.
Hi Keralis, if you were to make the exit from the maze (the bit before the stairs) blocked by a iron door, you could have the pressure plate used to open it rest upon a dropper that dispenses the tokens upwards, which can then be linked to the fireworks of completion.
Papa K is back, with booshes!
To improve the maze, instead of having a chest at the end of the maze with tokens for free booshes, you should have a pressure plate at the end that spits out a token. /However/, the dispenser is unlocked only if a pressure plate at the start of the maze and for 3 minutes only (maximum time to solve maze) with the use of a pulse extender timer. This not only prevents hermits from entering the maze from the back of the shop to claim a token, but prevents hermits from jumping up and down on a pressure plate to claim multiple tokens.
Also, I'm not sure how you let hermits know about an honor system in place, but hermits tend to forget.
"Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright"
Singing, "Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright!"
Hello Keralis. & you got that right. Cleo is really great at the Art she can make with the Armor stands she makes with them. & to let you know there are 7 pandas. There is also #1 Normal Panda, #2 Worried Panda, #3 Lazy Panda, ( they will lay on there back. ) #4 Playful Panda, ( They will do lots of tricks & move around a lot. ) #5 is the Weak Panda, & #6 is the Aggressive Panda, & #7 is the Brown Panda. that is hard to find him. You have the Lazy Panda, Good luck finding them all. If you want them. It be cool to have 1 or 2 of the playful ones on the dance floor.
27:47
A vine shop could have a 3d parcour maze using the vines, and you could make it like those tree adventure places with hopes and bridges, and things like that.
I don't think your style this season is boring, it's "different" than others and that's what makes it amazing since it stands out to the rest of the hermits... especially with all those bushes XD
the sweetest face of all is back😍 oh how i missed u ❤side note, love how hermits r starting to incorporate some games into their shops, got etho's frogger and cubby's lava room fireworks and now papa K's boosh maze
@Keralis You could put a regular villager behind the bar and use dispensers to equip them with dyed leather armor and give them a wandering villager head as well! Love the maze as well!
The Book of Eli is amazing! I hope you enjoyed it Keralis. I feel like it's an overlooked gem.
Instead of booshes in the item frames, maybe just the sapling of the tree where they come from would be easier for hermits to identify the boosh types in the barrels. Love the maze and how the base is so cohesive!
I love hedge mazes. You did a great job gamifying the shop.
You should see if you can get the Potion Permit off of BDubs, because your night club is pm just right there next to the shopping district.
Also 16:00 it moves up because theirs a column of glass blocks in the space above the dropper.
A little office for custom booshes orders sounds like a great idea!
Glad you're back Keralis! I love the build, super fun and fits your theme perfectly, not boring at all.
10:27 Papa K got the fancy Beverly Hills dad laugh. I cant
For the copper door issue, You could have a second set of doors (iron) on the inside that can be controlled with redstone!
I've missed you Papa K. Glad your back and feeling better. Hope we can see more of you soon, you always find a way of putting a smile on my face.
You were missed Papa K. Love the bush maze. Cub started minecraft making mazes so don’t depend on him for how easy or hard a maze is.
You could make the empty building and information desk or tourist info desk. Like with a map of your area and a “your are here” thing. Have a lost and found. Ticket desk. Something along those lines. Or make it a snowcone shack
Keralis!
Nobody is ONLY watching your videos. It's good your area is one consistent style.
Nobody's watching Star Trek, thinking: "Pff, space, they should do this in a city apartment". I mean: Friends exists.
Noice! For the empty room... What about a bar+gift shop for some "I survived the maze" merch? Useless, but pretty funny!
keralis's builds are sooo chill, love to see em. i dont think I'll ever get tired of the island tourist vibes. 'boring' my tush. keep doing what makes you happy, if you want to add some splashes of color and experiment then feel free.
the maze is very fun, bartering with cub for the fireworks was amusing. he really does sell those super cheap
I vote yes for raising the maze booshes up one more. A good real life hedge maze is at least 12ft+ to really prevent landmark spotting.
And for the shop, a handfull of chests or barrels, maybe little piles of storage with a "large potted bush" like you have out near the road. With each bush type sold in the pile with their corresponding bush on display. Like think little bonzi bushes...
Glad you're back! About the booshes token, why not have one dispense from the ground when the firework is activated? It could be put on a timer so it couldn't be activated over and over again.
Keralis could start marketing the candles to Pearl for her trees. Green ones to mix up the seapickles and the others as flowers or fruit.
"Show me your bushes" LOL I freaking love y'all!
Keralis, your area definitely isn't boring. It's lovely. The bush shop fits in very well.
Happy you’re feeling better Keralis!!! We missed you! Love the maze!!
Haven’t watch your channel in years since high school… glad to know that when i came back, you’re still making videos. Times haven’t changed much since 🤘
you could set up a mini game, you have to go through the maze and get all 5 cakes in the process, could setup a leaderboard for fastest times and change the cakes each time
15:49
If you drop (using a droper) something into a block, it goes up.
There are glass blocks behind there.
Always getting so sunny and nice warm vibes from your videos! I am glad you're back!
You should make the “front office” a front for a landscaping business to make extra diamonds. I mean you are the Boosh King!
A few spider webs could slow down fast maze runners. But more of an annoyance instead of a difficulty enhancer.
Good to see you back at it 👍
Welcome back! We've missed you so much! Glad you are doing better and able to play on Hermitcraft. Your videos are so relaxing and enjoyable. 😁
Some thoughts for some ideas to tweak the maze (possibly repeating a bit of what some other comments have mentioned)...
1. add a covered top to obscure it from people flying above, like maybe there could be a one block gap of air above the top of the hedges and then an overhead trellis with greens growing in its gaps and on top of it
2. is there enough lighting to prevent mob spawns in the maze? I don't know if I saw any
3. I liked the idea I saw someone give where you could replace the cakes with barrels which each have some sort of unique token in them and then you have somewhere to deposit them all at the end of the maze and some redstone underground verifies that all of them were collected, dispenses the coupon up through the ground to them, and redistributes the tokens all back to their correct barrel in the maze for the next person, this would nullify the concern about accessing the maze exit and the coupons from the shop (would also need it to have a way to go into a fail state if a player finds some but then decides to give up, so they deposit what they have and it redistributes them back to where they belong without giving a coupon)
4. troll / scare people a bit, maybe some armor stand and redstone trickery could be capable of popping a "creeper" (the disguise from last season) up and hiding it again just like the "Yeti" that Tango added to the DO2 entrance ride near the end of last season, I think you can also use a creeper head placed on a noteblock to trigger creeper sounds (which might be easier than an idea someone mentioned which involved a parrot making a creeper sound imitation), have some calibrated sculk sensors with wool around them to isolate the detection for each one to the one specific block above them and maybe some redstone trickery where each time one of the sensors is activated there's a random chance to toggle the state of a copper bulb in the redstone circuit and then each time that bulb turns on there's a random chance to trigger the "creeper" visit
Maybe put a "no entry" sign on the copper doors from the inside of the shop so Hermits will know you can only go that way from the maze.
Hey Keralis, could maybe be cool for the token chest to be somewhere in the maze so the hermits have to find them first before completing the maze. This would remove the door problem you mentioned. You could also move the chest every once in a while to change it up a bit. Just a thought though, great video as always!!😢
Maybe have the booshes token pop up randomly somewhere in the maze instead of being at the end so the hermits have to find the token first before exiting. Solves the iron door problem, and also means the hermits can't just learn the maze to get free booshes.
What a aMAZEing Episode Keralis (No pun included) I first watched your First Episode of Season 7 and Been watching your episodes from this day onward learned how to do Booshes and other Booshes creations in my own worlds.
you could put a pressure plate at the start of the maze that will put a token into the chest at the end so people who don't go through the maze can't take a token and you wouldn't need to changed the doors.
I like the pot decorations! They remind me of a plant nursery
1:15 Did anyone catch the Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics 😂 nice one there by Keralis
Either make the Hermits remove their wings, and blocks before entering the maze.
Otherwise, surround the maze in every direction with obsidian, including underground. Camoflage it from those inside and from those outside flying over.
The only way out is through the maze.
36:20 Perhaps a skulk sensor picking up on the door opening and disabling the completion circuit for a short time.
Made me laugh to hard: “Switzerland the land of” mentioning all things from Sweden 😂
Maybe you can have a section of the base that is pirate themed. Like a cave with an above ground entrance that opens to some hidden sunken treasure filled chest. Perhaps you could make it mini game to find it.
Cub didn't go through the maze as fast as it looked from your point of view. You were distracted with the fireworks while he was going through. He hit quite a few dead ends. They say that most people turn right in a store when they first walk in (so they use that to their advantage), He was turning right for the most part except when he hit a dead end and then saw your cake.
Could make the exit from the maze a hole in the ground that drops into a basement room. That would let you use an iron door to exit that room into another room with a ladder going up to the shop.
I love this colour pallet, it's such a vibe and if I could transport myself there I would. If you do want to add a little something, maybe some banners? you could do different colours to distinguish different areas if that makes sense :)
I LOVE the tropical base theme btw
That angled sign effect is great
Vine shop could be something you climb up vines to a treehouse in a giant jungle tree
For the bush shop blending in:
How about a tropical rich mans modern villa with an enormous show off garden? Would perfectly blend into and enclose your jungle village with the yacht at the beach and the shop ath the main land!
Keralis if you use the tunnel near Docm77 base it has a Warden trap in it, so no warden will spawn , he used it to look for the silence Armor trim
Keralis the Cake Nazi: “No cake for you!”
Hey, papa K! Hate to drop this in you right now, but you'll need to address an issue with the Half-Foods Honey distribution arrangement. The Shopping District Poe-Poe are unaware honey is a food, and so you'll need to contact Skizz and Scar to set them straight. Ok, have a great day!!
You could add in some tiki ruins for a palate shift that still fits the theme
Maybe to shake up the color palette without exactly going off theme, you could make a tourist trap shop?
you should integrate your bushes shop with the street, because i don't think anyone will build something in that little hole. Besides that, you could do your office it would be cool
Dude, you should put the tokens in some of the dead ends, so the hermits have to locate the tokens, then get back out of the maze. Awesome vid as usual😉😁
“I’m lovin it” should be a horn
36:13
I was kinda expecting a reverse bartering 😂
