The Crew Motorfest is an upcoming racing video game developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be the sequel to 2018's The Crew 2 and the third game in The Crew series, scheduled to release on September 14, 2023. As with its predecessors, the game is set in an open world environment; however, unlike the predecessors which were set in the Contiguous United States, Motorfest would be set in a scaled-down version of the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu.

FACTS! theres nothing else like it, but in crew 2 and 3 they made it just like forza horizon. to be fair, therte was a lot more variety with the crew 2: offroad, speedboats, stunt planes, racing planes, f1, touring cars, street races, hypercars, drag racing, drifting etc. but i still wish they went back to the more exploring-encouraged crew 1
yeah but the issue is that it "encourage the younger to reproduce". It's same in fast and furious for example, the only cars you can see now, are cars that you can't afford or they just doesnt exist, so no one will take example. In addition, brands don't want to be close to crime and illegal racing today..

There are a lot of areas of Hawaii that look like that, just dry fields without much going on. Believe it or not sometimes real life lacks exciting detail

I drove the vulcan. Thats the best sounding v12 ever in the game. Probably thw best sounding car even. The koenigsegg also sound amazing and c63 amg too. Fuck the ungoing maintenance

It seems like the turbo noises sound the same on all cars I hope that not the case.
To an extent yes that's the case like turbo noises are similar if there of the same engine type like v6s turbo sound familiar to each other if that makes sense
I mean, the turbo is what it is for all the cars. The only thing that changes is the sound that the engine makes depending on the car.

@@Midnightvqbecause most (third party) games don’t. It mostly comes down to optimization and developers tend to favor PS5 and neglect the Series X version. It was especially striking with games like Hogwarts Legacy.

Are you serious? I don't know PC3 sounds but these are not good at all. The only one which sounded like the real car was the LaFerrari. P1, Huayra and the Bugatti were not even similar to the real cars 😂

The graphics are OK, but 30fps racing game in 2023? Hope there's a performance option 60fps minimum.
I bought this after almost religiously playing FH5 for 8 months. I have to say that I like FH5. Much better. Thought it was refreshing with some new scenery. But the cars here feels like "tractors" compared to Forza. Also all the painting and customization in FH5 is just awesome and part of what makes that game so great. This one is more like a "NFS wants to be FH" kind of game. A lot more arcade style feel to the driving. The positive thing is that its a bit easier to keep the car on the road, but the feel of speed and that the car is actually responding to what you do is missing a lot compared to FH5. FH5 is still the king, but this is probably the next best. The car models looks great here though, but its a real bummer that the mirrors dont work.

Mate it reminds me of FH games so much but the island is soo lovely best map I've played, crew 2 was just massive but dullish compared to this smaller Hawaii detailed well

Well.. I get what you are saying but you can have bright colours.. (like in The Crew 2 launch version, looked beautiful) or just oversaturated colours like in Motorfest.. I really don't like that. The colours in Motorfest look like SHIT compared to The Crew 2 launch version and Horizon 5.
The Crew is a fun arcade type game such has Forza Horizon… however they also make Forza Motorsport and bring over some amazing simulation that the Horizon series benefits from. The Crew 1 and 2 is almost laughable arcade-ish and unless you never driven a car before… the physics are what breaks the game from those who love these types of games. If you can get past the physics The Crew series isn’t so bad. Graphically the game simply doesn’t hold up against even the rushed out need for speed games and more so mimics that of Asphalt… a cell phone based series of racing games. Even in this video the AI traffic and parked cars look like the cars from the original Tony Hawk series. Boxy, no details and a reflection cube map used for its reflection. The beach sand, ground are still using an outdated form of texturing called Bump-mapping while games such as horizon litter the ground with 3d rocks while using tessellation. All reflections in this game seem to be using outdated techniques rather than retracing. The shadows are bit dated and no ambient occlusion seems to be apparent which would polish this game up real nice. Unless this is extremely old footage…. If graphics is a big deal to you then you’ll be just as disappointed as you were when you played the crew 1 and 2 which had buildings in the shape of cubes with flat windows and doors via textures. I think the team went with this because they are likely pushing a ps4 and last gen Xbox release rather than focus on current gen hardware which makes sense because that means more sales. However I do hope the revamped the physics because that was their biggest complaint for both 1 and 2. But this game currently can’t touch horizon 4 or 5 graphically. Perhaps it did something impressive with physics! Time will tell. I’m also a pc user and for a horizon 5 on a 4090 on ultra looks like reality lol. Sadly specs such as what I have don’t do well for games with worse graphics and it only amplifies the rushed modeling and bad texturing. Maybe they will be kind to the modding community so we can fix their mistakes if this is the final version of the game graphically. Because is so this looks like ps3/ps4 early titles.

Understand that this videos max quality is 720p, 1/4th of what will be available on ps5 and if you have a 4K tv then even better. Your likely watching this video on your phone so of course it’s not gonna look amazing.
The jungle and the color definitely look more convincing than FH5 but the trees look like png's
Keep in mind that this is just the beta gameplay, on the full version of the game we will have higher quality and better rendering of the surroundings

@@yungassassin6990 the beta is limited at 1080p graphics and less details, for example the rear view mirrors are blurry in the beta, while in the final version they should actually be usable. And obviously since the beta was 1 month ago the developers made improvements on the game in terms of rendering the surroundings and little graphic glitches. The beta is made in order to make people test the game to see if it works how it should, and give everyone an idea of what they should be expecting from the crew motorfest. Ubisoft is really putting effort in this game which is not something that they do with other titles like assassins creed and rainbow six siege. People expect much and I don’t think Ubisoft will let us down with this one.

why did they make the P1 sounds like a 720s?
I do not understand that there is hdr calibration in the graphics settings and my 4k tv uses HDR settings for display, and yet there is also an option to switch between "rgb" and "hdr10" mode in the game's options... If I switch that to HDR10 it makes the games colors dull. Is that what it supposed to look like? Is leaving it looks n rgb while the tv displays HDR "wrong"?

Over corrected reflections and making the road look always wet is not realistic at all. I guess its what people want but its not even close to being realistic. This just causes unoptimized settings and hardware usages.
Edit: I guess its quite common in arcadish games. The game is not supposed to be a simulator or a lookalike realistic game.

Nitro is making less realistic in terms of physics, graphics etc. I played both fh5 and this one but I can’t find any features that beat fh5 except for maps and type of vehicles u can drive.

I've downloaded the demo on PS4. I've played a few car race games in the past decades and I'll never understand why when I drive at the same speed as the IA cars they take that bend in the road perfectly and I bump into the rail or go off track, and if I slow down of course they race ahead perfectly and I'm last. In 30 years they still haven't solved that problem. I drive real cars irl and cars don't behave mike that. And I don't have accidents lol.

the difference is not that big in terms of quality mode as far as I can see, but yep on my rig I maxed it out at native 4K and I had decent fps, didn't notice any frame drops maybe because of vrr and haven't checked how many fps it hits but I locked it 120

That should be an additional option. Relying on VRR for a mode to be playable isn’t a good idea. Most people don’t have VRR and 50-60 fps looks terrible on a 60 hz screen. It’s incredibly stuttery.

This racing game has nothing different than any other racing game. It's all been done before, Ubisoft have just copied Forza Horizon and put their own twist on it. Nothing new at all and the price they want for it is a piss take.

All they did was slap wet Puddles on the street to make it look good. Its like you watch a GTA V video with ultra realistic graphics mod where everything is just wet so we see the ray tracing reflections at all times 🤡 no racing game will be on frozas level.
