Wow, That's actually very impressive, one of the closest replicas i've seen so far! I'm particularly impressed by the face rig, it seems to be very flexible and appears to perfectly maintain the round shape during deformations, this can be very difficult to achieve. Would you mind giving more details about how you did the face rig? Maybe even a video about it. I also have a 3D character with a very round head that needs to maintain the shape all the time like Pomni and some tips would help a lot.
Hello, thank you for the compliments I was inspired by the Universal Sonic Mouth Tutorial by KamauKianjahe. You can find the tutorial by just searching up universal Sonic Mouth blender into Google, but long story short, it's basically having the outside of the head shrink-wrapped onto another model of the same shape with long faces connected to the mouth, allowing it to move around the face without the worry of it bumping into other vertices. I'd recommend looking up the tutorial if you want a more in-depth step by step guide to it.
@@Megalodile_Rex I just took a look at it and it's very similar to how Blender Studio made their face rigs for the Sprite Fright shortfilm, I used their technique for my character and it worked well for the most part, but this tutorial has a lot of info I didn't know, it will be very useful. Thanks a lot man!
Wow man, that's amazing!! Congratulations!, but I have a big question about the eyelids, because if you use a shrinkwrapt modifier and put them on the eyes, then they will not be "straight", but they will adopt the shape of the eye and follow a round shape while rotating, and not a straight one as your's, how did you do that? Thank you!
Hello, thanks for the compliment. I currently can't access my computer because I'm out of town rn but from what I can remember, the eyelid meshs are curved to match the eyes, which I guess negates the mesh being curved on the eye since the distance from the eyelid mesh and eye mesh is relatively the same between all points. I'll check it again once I get back in town.
@@Megalodile_Rex Oh, of course, the topology of the eyelid is similar to the topology of the eye, which is why its shape is always straight. Sorry if I'm being annoying, it's just that I was very amazed by your work, I wonder how you did so that the eyes can easily be in direct contact with each other or separated, without the topology looking apparently altered, Were you inspired by KamauKianjahe's Universal Sonic Mouth tutorial you mentioned in another comment?. Thank you and I wish you success in your future projects.
This is the best Pomni fan model ever! Is there any chance of this model being released? A lot of animators would really need it "I'm just now noticing how many people have already texted you about it"

She’s so accurate! I love her so much
Thank you, appreciate it
@@Megalodile_Rex I wish I could download this model.

Nice work buddy, I really wish my OC were a model too

Yeah I assume that you already know the answer by now, I honestly didn't expect this many people asking it to be released when I first made it
Can you do this with the gangle model?
Might do so eventually, kind of tackling one character per franchise rn
Im jealous! How in the world did you manage to rig the mouth like that? Ive been struggling to improve on that front myself

Just asking
@@juany-qz1jb Sorry for the late reply, I want to release it eventually, just not now and I don't really know when.
eyebrowless?
Yeah, I just planned to use Grease Pencil to draw them in, it just felt easier to do and more expressive to me
