The problem here I think is lack of boundaries. She would benefit of meeting a good therapist that truly cares for her wellbeing and would teach her how to do that. She grew up with a bunch of narcissists ( her so called family) & this kind of monsters don't respect boundaries.
It has abs. nothing to do with intelligence
and everything to do with projective identification. Until she works through a significant amount of her trauma, PI is going to cause her to choose the same types of ppl/relationships over and over again!
