At the time of retirement when a senior citizen's retirement money comes to SBI or comes in his account, then the selected employees there, in the name of life insurance, forcibly get a policy done to earn their commission in which there is a locking period, interest is received but there is no certainty about the life of the senior citizen, they trap him for long periods of two-three, five years, four years, five years and his deposited money gets stuck in the locking period, this is what the employees of State Bank of India do, by forcibly taking a decision that your tax will be saved, you will have to bring it, they trap you in an insurance policy, be careful when you retire.

Something similar happened with my father in 2020, retired teacher, they forced him to invest in sbi pension scheme, first they freezed the account when retirement amount was credited to account, and they told that to get your account working you need to invest in sbi pension scheme and now my father can't remove money till 2026, this is how the so called SBI scams the people, please if anyone in such situation, do not invest in such Schemes

It happened to me also. But I told them I don't want any plan which I can get after 5 or 6 years. Then I want to transfer my joint account with my mother into my name ,they asked me lots and lots of papers to prove my legality and want signatures from my aunts and uncles etc. Atlast I have to invest in some mutual fund. Then only they transferred the account. It took some 3 or 4 months.

I don't see any benefit with the specified insurance plan, why did SBI bring such plan? With 30 lacs you get equivalent amount( amount provided on quarterly basis) as interest and can break the fd at any point of time.

But because the branch employees were more concerned about their sales target therefore they lost their touch with humanity and decided to keep their morals and ethics to rest and sold this undesired and unwarranted policy to him. Same type of incident happened with me Sbi manager of my bank and opened Sbi life keeping me dark about the policy and later when I approached to the Sbi life office they informed that' 30%of my deposited money to be deducted so I have no other option except to continue so be very much cautious regarding the scam of Sbi

He should file a FIR against Jayashri Ben for cheating. He may also file a case before Consumer forum. Problem is that he seems to have signed the documents without reading the documents. It will be difficult for the courts to give relief to him because anyone can say so to avoid a valid contract. In fact, banks should be banned from selling insurance. It is difficult for a common man to differentiate between SBI Bank and SBI Life. Giving the bank staff targets for selling insurance. That will solve the problem. Banks are also selling mutual funds in the same way.

I also experienced such thing with HDFC Life. But before making the policy, I withdrew the amount. But held up for 1 month of 3 lakhs 18,000 without any interest. RBI should amend their rules.
In advertisement they say read the documents carefully But in reality,they never give any documents or papers to you. In my experience,when I asked them about the papers of any mutual fund, they said we will explain you. It means they are not giving full details of the fund and allow us to get it checked with any expert. It is very bad.

It seems that many SBI branches are promoting life insurance policies without adequately informing customers. I had a similar experience with SBI Smart Life Insurance. When I applied for a personal loan from SBI, I was told that the loan would not be approved unless I also purchased a life insurance policy. Feeling pressured, I signed up for SBI Life Insurance without fully understanding the terms, as I urgently needed the loan. They informed me that I had to pay an annual premium of ₹20,000 and that I could withdraw the policy once I had fully repaid the loan. After foreclosing the loan, I encountered difficulties in surrendering the life insurance due to a lock-in period, which was never disclosed to me by the bank agent when I initially subscribed. SBI should stop misleading its customers.

At the time of retirement when a senior citizen's retirement money comes to SBI or comes in his account, then the selected employees there, in the name of life insurance, forcibly get a policy done to earn their commission in which there is a locking period, interest is received but there is no certainty about the life of the senior citizen, they trap him for long periods of two-three, five years, four years, five years and his deposited money gets stuck in the locking period, this is what the employees of State Bank of India do, by forcibly taking a decision that your tax will be saved, you will have to bring it, they trap you in an insurance policy, be careful when you retire.

It happened to me also. But I told them I don't want any plan which I can get after 5 or 6 years. Then I want to transfer my joint account with my mother into my name ,they asked me lots and lots of papers to prove my legality and want signatures from my aunts and uncles etc. Atlast I have to invest in some mutual fund. I don't see any benefit with the specified insurance plan, why did SBI bring such plan? With 30 lacs you get equivalent amount( amount provided on quarterly basis) as interest and can break the fd at any point of time.

But because the branch employees were more concerned about their sales target therefore they lost their touch with humanity and decided to keep their morals and ethics to rest and sold this undesired and unwarranted policy to him. He should file a FIR against Jayashri Ben for cheating. He may also file a case before Consumer forum. Problem is that he seems to have signed the documents without reading the documents. It will be difficult for the courts to give relief to him because anyone can say so to avoid a valid contract. In fact, banks should be banned from selling insurance. It is difficult for a common man to differentiate between SBI Bank and SBI Life. Giving the bank staff targets for selling insurance. That will solve the problem. In advertisement they say read the documents carefully But in reality,they never give any documents or papers to you. In my experience,when I asked them about the papers of any mutual fund, they said we will explain you. It means they are not giving full details of the fund and allow us to get it checked with any expert. It is very bad.
