Thanks for the great video! Do you prefer the NiZ or the Realforce? I have several NiZ keyboards (all 35g) and I have a HHKB but I'm thinking about buying a new Realforce R3 30g. I had an old Realforce 55g but I didn't like it, it was way too stiff for me.
I moved to an HHKB Hybrid. Added Deskey #3 rings and with lubed sliders, it’s so good. Bluetooth is also rock-solid. Along with the form factor, it kicked the Niz out of my rotation.
Do you by any chance have te weight of the full box? The keyboard seems to weight 1.2kg but don't know about the full package, wanted to get one but have to do extra shipping, so having a ballpark of what would it cost would be good! Thanks!
Been looking at the two, I live in canada and it seems both are available on ebay with realforce r3 about $30-40 USD more. The r3 is bluetooth and USB connection, where as the fc980c is hardwired only. It doesn't seem like leopold is iterating on their design where Realforce seem to be improving. R3 has 108 keys and the fc980c have 98key with a smaller form factor. If you don't care about wireless and like the smaller form get the Leopold otherwise I think the R3 seems best.
These "sound" demos of someone typing are absolutely useless. We buy keyboard primarily for the feel, the touch when typing, and that can only be partially conveyed VERBALLY. The "thock thock thock" sound is meaningless, sort of like the unboxing videos that are an utter waste of time.
I used to hate the Topre upstroke sound, but now I love it. Weird how these things come around.
Great video. I would love to see more of Topre! especially the 30g. It appears to be pretty underrated :)

I have the same R3 keyboard. I also used to have the 45g switches but I love the 30g better.

Can you rest your fingers on a Niz 30G or Topre 30G keyboard? Between these two, do you still prefer the Niz?
