I'm pretty sure this is everything the mod was supposed to have, except for Sonichu was added as a troll & faker not included. A lot of the ets are most likely fanmade, but some are unused ets from the official build. I tried to compile a list of credits since the unfinished build didn't have the full thing. I disable the miss sound effects so the music plays out perfectly. This will be the last time I play this build since we have seen it all. I'm not gonna play the 5.0 unless new songs are added or there is major changes.

Game Note: Sonic.exe (also known as X or exe for short) is the main antagonist of the Sonic.EXE series creepypasta. Sonic.EXE haunted game disc killing the main Sonic characters. There are no secret codes or anything to unlock in the sound test. Updated sonic.exe horror mod w/ jumpscares.

It's clear that the dedication in this community is through the roof, I had a feeling someone out there would restore everything. This is so insane, not only did this have everything that was unfinished finally get that polish they needed but they even brought back cool concepts like Chaotix, Luther, and Satanos too! Massive love to the creators, the legacy of the Sonic.exe mod is never gonna be forgotten and this is proof of that.

it's kind of ironic about this mod's development mirroring the actual sonic games development
1.0 was a great start (Sonic 1)
2.0 was a fantastic follow-up (Sonic 2 - Adventure 2)
3.0 fell apart due to internal conflicts (Heroes and 06)
4.0 fans gathered to make it right again (Mania)
heroes was atleast good, 06 was just getting faded though development

This will be the completed version of this monster of a mod. There’s so much to unpack here, so many references. Let’s all be thankful that the original devs got as much done as they did, and that THIS may very well have been what they wanted it to end up being. Also, Encore BF is adorable. That’s what I’m calling the BF dog and I’m sticking with it

I see a lot people saying there mad that people can't let this mod go and I think what a lot of people don't realize is that this person is just a fan of the mod who wanted to help out other fans of the mod who wanted to see the full thing and the amount of research and effort futagami did to help bring this mod back to life is insane awesome work from him and obviously amazing work from everyone on the sonic.exe team who made all of this truly one of the greatest fnf mods ever made.

It’s nuts to see how far this mod has come, I’m gonna cry I feel like that one uncle that’s always proud of their nephew
It's still unfortunate that the official mod got cancelled but I'm thankful that a good amount of beta sketches and songs was shared publicly so the community could reach the finish line for the dev team. And god, the amount of content the original developers were striving for is crazy, I couldn't imagine working on that much stuff. They bit off more then they could chew sadly. The amount of effort it must've taken to finish the incomplete content shouldn't be overlooked. We didn't even have a song made for Devoid for example. I've also been wanting a Manual Blast showcase on this channel since that song was first found (it was nearly completed gameplay wise). guess I finally got that with this restoration too. Though the static screen is quite distracting for that particular revamp.
From what I’ve heard is that it’s been “Shelved”. Which may mean that it’s not completely gone

For Devoid's song, Hollow, I might suggest having all the sprites be with his mask on, since having it off is a really high risk to anyone who sees his "face" without it.

I got a theory for the Final Escape mod:
After Boyfriend defeated Sonic. exe/Xenophanes and his army of puppets in Triple Trouble, Boyfriend and Girlfriend finally get out of the haunted cartridge. But not before Xenophanes said "Come back here! I'm not done with you yet!" Hence why he reached for Boyfriend in the mod, and pulls Boyfriend into the game again. And that's when the REAL final battle begins. With Boyfriend's survival, he must succeed! Once he had beaten Xenophanes, the curse was broken. And everyone was free from the Demon's grasp!
The people who completed what the original devs of this mod couldn’t are the reason why Friday Night Funkin is such a good game!

The first reason I love fanmades is that they are more or less smooth, more songs more rock and other music in the background, it makes the mod more efficient, cooler. Continue in the same spirit.

I love how much detail these creators put in these mods I didn't think I would see Sonic. Exe ever again but thanks to this wonderful person for updating this mod and many more. I can tell this is a very long mod since its like almost 3 hours half but I love to see effort put in this. Also this mod is very detail can we just take a moment to respect that?

Hmph. Of course there’s always someone out there who believes that the unfinished, cancelled, mod shouldn’t go out the way it is. Someone else will pick up the pieces and try to bring it back, so they can actually complete it. Seems FNF is not the only one that wants to restore mods.

Wow the community can be terrible sometimes but it also has alot of its redeeming qualities and amazing mod aside from sally.alt's animations being a little stiff

Overambitious sure, but they were literally on the right track. If they didn't have that drama and all that bs, bro the unfinished mod was still really good and they had so much more to add?! Frankly this is probably one of the best mods FnF has ever had.

My guy really did an amazing job creating this. This is a masterpiece, the sonic.exe mod had so much stuff that they wanted to add. Futagami did all of this, I am absolutely amazed! Futagami really did something truly amazing. The sonic.exe mod probably was one of the biggest mods out there, it was going to get so much updates. I can’t believe it!

As a sonic enjoyer and an FNF enthusiast, I love the fact someone took their sweet time and restored the canceled Sonic.ExE build, it makes me shed a tear of joy.
