Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When the Adhan is pronounced Satan takes to his heels and passes wind with noise during his flight in order not to hear the Adhan. When the Adhan is completed he comes back and again takes to his heels when the Iqama is pronounced and after its completion he returns again till he whispers into the heart of the person (to divert his attention from his prayer) and makes him remember things which he does not recall to his mind before the prayer and that causes him to forget how much he has prayed."

Abu Huraira reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: When Satan hears the call to prayer, he turns back and breaks the wind so as not to hear the call being made, but when the call is finished he turns round and distracts (the minds of those who pray), and when he hears the Iqama, he again runs away so as not to hear its voice and when it subsides, he comes back and distracts (the minds of those who stand for prayer).

Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?--Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay! (2: 87)

He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet. (19: 30)

Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute. (3: 55)

The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be." And he was. (3: 59)
*Deny Jesus (pbuh) ' Crucifixion*
That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";--but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. (4: 157)
*Jesus (pbuh) is no more than a messenger of Allah*
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity"" desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. (4: 171)
Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth! (5: 75)
*Jesus (pbuh) was a miracle worker*
We have made some of these messengers to excel the others among them are they to whom Allah spoke, and some of them He exalted by (many degrees of) rank; and We gave clear miracles to Isa1 son of Marium2, and strengthened him with the holy spirit. And if Allah had pleased, those after them would not have fought one with another after clear arguments had come to them, but they disagreed; so there were some of them who believed and others who denied; and if Allah had pleased they would not have fought one with another, but Allah brings about what He intends. (2: 253)
*Jesus (pbuh) , Son of Mary, did not say to worship himself or Mary*
And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. (5: 116)
*Allah sent the Gospel to Jesus (pbuh)*
And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah. (5: 46)
Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors. (57: 27)
*You are cursed if you say Jesus (pbuh) is God's Son*
The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (9: 30)
*Jesus (pbuh) spoke as a child*
But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle? 30 He said: "I am indeed a servant of God: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet" (19: 29-30)
*Deny Jesus (pbuh) is Son of God*
Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. 35 It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is. (19: 34-35)
*Jesus (pbuh) is the Son of Mary*
And remember We took from the prophets their covenant: As (We did) from thee: from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary: We took from them a solemn covenant: (33: 7)
*Jesus (pbuh) was no more than a Servant*
57 When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)! 58 And they say, "Are our gods best, or he?" This they set forth to thee, only by way of disputation: yea, they are a contentious people. 59 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. (43: 57-59)
*Jesus (pbuh) said to obey him*
When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me. (43: 63)
They are not the same....do some research and you will see the introduction of the Quran some 4500 years after the Old Testament began, after the death, burial, and resurection of Jesus. In essance, you are saying God made a mistake during all the years before Mohammed ushered in the Quran and his Hadiths. God does not make mistakes. I wish there was a devout focus in Christianity as there is is in Islam. Many things Muslims do has me in awe. In my time of living and working in the Middle East, I always loved the call to prayer...especially at the end of the day or sunset....something special about that!
I am Jewish and this is beautiful something all monotheistic religions can stand behind and agree with. Allah is the greatest there is none else. Thanks for sharing

That is not to say he is male. Allah azzawajal is not a male he is the creator and so therefore can not be put in the category of subject words like gender or sex. Just like how humans are not creatures with computer chips for brains just because we created them.

You should also hear what we recite during our prayers i mean Quran recitations. Quran is revelation from the Lord of all worlds. Quran recitations will give you goosebumps. No one can produce anything like Quran . Quran is revelation from the Creator of this complex universe. God challenged all humankind in Quran to produce a single chapter like those in the Quran and none managed to even come close. A muslim worships only 1 God and take Jesu(pbuh) as a mighty prophet of God. Christians worship Jesus(pbuh) and give him the status of God, even when Jesus isn’t All-Knowing(the knowledge of the hour is only with the father).

Being a non-practicing Catholic, the adhan is touching and it pierces the soul deeply to the very point where it is where I see that God is the Celestial Sovereign who created heaven and earth for it is to him that belong the kingdom, power and glory for ever and ever.
I could listen to this all day. Thank you for sharing this. I find this goes straight into my soul, into the center of my being; there is a natural greatness in hearing these words, even though I am not Muslim myself. The ways the words flow in your language is soothing, relaxing, encouraging, but also soul-piercing. I feel very small when I listen to this but I believe that is one of the lessons here and I am humbled to have had this experience (not new as I subscribed and listen to this quite often -you might see that in analytics). I wish you and all of our relations and friends a healthy, strong, and blissful new year. Things will get better; we all just need to isolate, pray, kill the virus by not letting it spread. The entire planet would benefit if they would just open their minds to a world where we all can get along, live freely, happily, but this practice is something that really should be practiced as we, as human beings, need to be reminded that the evils and compulsions of this world will never go away and we all need guidance. I had a terrible dream where I was showing my mum a house I was moving in to, we were in the garden and she was saying why do we need so many rooms. When a man attacked us. paula D Hi there! So .. I am trying to help... I converted with this account called reverthelp on tumblr (@reverthelp). They have been helping reverts for years and I ended up reciting my shahada with them. They taught me everything I know today and supported me all this time. They even found other reverts for me in my area, someone to teach me how to read and recite Quran and so many other things. I saw they started to be active on instagram also recently (@revert_help). Let me tell you what you explained: the longing of the soul has no goal. The soul isnt concerned with goals. The soul needs no goals. The soul needs the freedom to ask God what He wants. The soul wanrs our personal goals to keep their boundaries.
A goal is something practical. You need food, you grab it, you understand it. The soul finds nourushment in freedom. Pleasures of the flesh are amazing and good. Food pleases and smiles intensify. Yet the aftermeal company, dessert, coffee, communication, tgat s the important part.
The goal of a meal is a full stomache. The soul wants to achieve that and then focys on what is important.

I was raised as a child a Roman Catholic but now as an adult I don’t really follow any particular religion but I have I suppose spiritual feelings and believe there is a superior being. I find this video very calming and pray for humanity and for myself we will all somehow discover what life is all about.
im not religious even though im traditionally hindu. I used to hear adhan everyday in evening i think . back home before moving to West. I used to like it as a kid, it was calming and its nice music . I accept all faiths in my life.

I worship God and gladly join Muslims in prayer
Jesus (peace be upon him) in Islam is one of the great true messengers/prophets sent by Allah (The Creator) to the Children of Israel only. He is the messiah. His birth was miraculous (from a mother and without a father). He is a man and had no divine nature. He was never been killed nor crucified but was saved and raised alive by Allah to heaven. Allah will return jesus back to earth before the end of time not as a new prophet but as a ruler following the teachings of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them all) and to kill the Dajjal (the anti-christ). Jesus will live on earth for 40 years then he will die a natural death.

Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors. (57: 27)

The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (9: 30)
