    Thanks Tony for sharing your camera gear info for a cruise. I am going to mark this so the hubby can watch it later and compare with what he takes. Again, thanks!

    Yeaaahhh!! Gear packing like a boss. Way to go Tony. I’m going on the group cruise (it’s my first) with Dons Family Vacations channel in April so it will come in handy. I love those little Joby Gorillapods. I just got a bigger camera so now I have to get the biggest one. Battery grips are a must if they make them for your camera. Double the battery life and you have to charge half as often. They’re Gods gift to photography or videography lol. You guys should do a group cruise for your channel next year!

    Thank you for all of this. We have been on a few cruises and only used our phones. I really feel we did not capture nearly as much as we wanted to. Plus, I am trying to start a TH-cam travel channel myself and need all the info on all the gear. As always, you are our favorite, Tony!

    Tony mount the a Tripod to each camera and count it ash one. Then you can add one more thing. Like a Mic.

    Funny how this was 5 years ago but other than the names of gear and the brands the basics are still exactly the same. Would love a video going deeper on photography on cruise ships. Something that tells the semi pro or high end amateur what they can bring on board.

    Interesting stuff... you should show us your camera bag as well. I need a new one. Also I prefer smaller SD cards. All my cards are 16gb. I use more that way and probably cost more in the long run but they all go into storage and they don't get reused once they are full. That way I end up with a copy on the laptop, a copy on the back up drive, a copy in the cloud and the original copy on the SD card. Overkill, now that I think about it.... LOL

    Team Jenny! Sorry Tony, you missed the boat on 24 eye shadows compared to 3 tripods. Your goodies must take a whole suitcase not a camera case. That is always our hang up is the amount of suitcases, not what is inside. Of course all of this is really funny when our fellow cruisers read this knowing hubby carries very little tech gear with him. I am the one you gotta watch on shoes, make-up and tech gear! Bhahahaha!

    Thank you Tony for your great video. I am going on a Fall New England and Canada cruise and want to take more than I can comfortably carry. I want to take my micro 4/3 camera and 2-3 extra lenses, tripod, action cameras and sound gear. What do you do to carry all of your gear?

    Manfrotto Super Clamp. Tripods get bumped and the gorilla pod doesn't always have something to wrap around or you need a second stationary point for that light like camera on the monopod and light super clamped to monopod.

    Have a look at the Passport Wireless line of portable hard drives... battery powered portable hard drive with an SD card slot.
    Set it up via a browser interface... then... at the end of the day of shooting.... stuff the SD card from the camera into the card slot on the drive and it will copy everything over to the drive... no laptop needed! Then if you have a laptop, connect the external drive and copy the day's shots over to the laptop's drive. Now you have three copies.

    Great vid Tony! I take similar gear. I don't have an led light though. What brand/model do you have? Can you post a link to it? Let me know how works when you use it.

    Thanks for sharing all of this information! I currently video on my iphone x and it's working for now. I might eventually upgrade to an actual camera and this was great stuff. Quick question...do use any external microphone with a windsock for windy conditions? I have a mini rode that attaches to my phone and it seems to help if it's windy out.

    • @LaLidoLoca
      @LaLidoLoca  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sandra D's Adventures I have the Rode Micro with the big wind muff. On my previous camera I had these stick on wind muffs that covers the built in mics. I made a link of all my current gear on our Amazon store if you want to see what I’m currently working with. www.amazon.com/ideas/amzn1.account.AGI2SPEEL5RIWY6W3NBB4JX7TFLA/6M3986QBBB6O

    You don’t bring an external mic & one of those fuzzy covers?? Some TH-cam videos (not La Lido Loca) are almost impossible to listen to because of the wind blowing!! Just wondering about your mic.?

    Now don’t hate me for being honest here. But unless you need all that stuff for professional reasons (I know you kind of do Tony), leave all that stuff home and lock your phones and iPads in the safes. Bring your phone or a simple camera for pics and vids. You don’t need to make pro movies to put all over social media and TH-cam, trust me, your followers don’t care. Go out and enjoy your vacation and stop worrying about making a film no one really wants to see. See the sights with your eyes instead of with a 4 inch screen. Hear with your ears instead of with a pin hole in a piece of plastic. It really is better that way.

      Ed Schick I think you make a good point. Don't miss the moment trying to capture the moment. There is a balance there somewhere. Appreciate the feedback! - Tony

    • @ES-us9om
      @ES-us9om 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      La Lido Loca you ALWAYS miss the moment trying the capture it. Ever notice the one person that’s always missing from every picture you take? I’ve professionally shot championship sports, concerts, heated political protests. The energy is around you, but you are not a part of the energy. As opposed to when you are a spectator or participant, you ARE the energy. Make sense? I’d much rather be the energy than just merely surrounded by the energy
