It seems to me that all girl groups use the same concept lately, I'm glad that groups like ITZY and JYP artists still give us catchy and fresh songs like this.
I love this song, it's so much fun but it does still have a sort of swag vibe to it that matches the rest of the Checkmate mini album. I think a lot of fans were expecting something completely different from the concept photos and they were immediately biased against Sneakers when it turned out to have this different vibe, though. To me, it's the same Itzy who debuted with Dalla Dalla and gave us Icy, and I'm happy to see them doing something so fun and relaxed!
