      "Set up" é mais difícil que talvez você imagina. Não é uma palavra que pode ser traduzido. Também, Vanessa, o phrasal verb desse vídeo é "make up for". "Make it up" significa outra coisa.

      Todos são difíceis mas, o set up estou mais acostumada , entendo melhor. Digitei errado o make up for, os outros são novos, se ouvi antes não lembrava.

    Set up tem um sentido de montar como você disse e a palavra “assemble” eu trabalho com obra e sempre uso essa palavra para dizer por exemplo: “Temos que montar essa estrutura “we have to assemble this structure” esse é o melhor jeito de falar ?

      Sim. "Assemble" geralmente é melhor do que "set up" quando montamos uma estrutura física.

    Dr. Cooper, there is a song called "looking at my Girls in the eyes" Double You singer. One of the setence of that song is 'She's tearing me apart'. brazilians when listen to that music and setence it seems for us brazilians that the singer is saying in portuguese "Gisele é minha vó ' = She's tearing me apart, it sounds similar for us.

      That's a different meaning of "set up" which I didn't talk about in the video. That means to arrange for two people you know, who don't know each other, to go out on a date.

      "By giving them what they want." Don't put "to" after.
      "I got to his birthday party late."
      Yes, besides the small grammatical mistakes, your sentences were good.

      When I was walking in the park ("at the park" is not wrong -- but "in the park" would be more common)
      The only mistake is "make up for getting earlier". I didn't understand what you meant.

      OK, Leo. Make up for" doesn't make sense there. After "make up for" we put what we did wrong.
      "I made up for forgetting Christina's birthday."
      "I want to make up for missing the class."
