Hey! We recommend Leather Cleaner, it is a gentle cleaner that removes dirt, grease, body oils, sweat, food residue, and light stains from fine natural leather, durable sealed leather, and synthetic leather materials. www.chemicalguys.com/leather-cleaner/leather-cleaner.html
What about a 14 year old car? Will it help them if they have never been cared for? Also I heard some people use linseed oil. What is your opinion on that?
Hi Ethan! Good question. We recommend doing the full leather treatment using Leather Cleaner, Leather Conditioner and Leather Protectant Serum. Leather Cleaner penetrates pores of leather to lift and suspend dirt and oils, also its a pH- balanced formula that won't stain leather or change the texture. Leather Conditioner is blended with Vitamin E and Aloe to moisturize and nourish your leather. It will also condition and restore your leather surfaces to a certain extent. Leather Protectant Serum protects leather against UV sunlight, fading, cracking and staining up to 16 months. These three steps will help you restore your leather to its best. Thanks for watching and thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family! Happy detailing!
Thanks for the video. I just spent a lot of mulah on your products. When I applied the conditioner I think I overapplied and it was very hot when I did this. I did not clean post condition to pick up excess. My concern is it looks spotty now
Hi! You definitely don't want to forget the last step of buffing off the excess. Try buffing off the excess conditioner now with a clean microfiber towel. If that doesn't do anything, simply reclean the seat with Leather Cleaner, and then recondition it. To avoid applying too much conditioner, apply the conditioner to the applicator pad, rather than directly to the seat as done in the video. In general, we always recommend detailing your car indoors or in the shade, when surfaces are cool to the touch. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for a new video headed your way later today!
Hey Guys, So I have a new car, it has black leather interior, it has bright orange stitching as well. I have all three of your leather care products. Will the orange stitching be discolored by any or all of these products? Thank you for you time.
Hi buddy, thank you for reaching out to us. Avoid using the serum, or conditioner on the stitching because it could stain the threads. I say to be safe, use a the products on the leather only, be cautious to use the applicator, or use the products on a towel.
I used this product on my black leather seats with the microfiber pad but I didn't wipe the excess conditioner because it wasn't shiny enough for me. About 2 days later after a heatwave I started noticing some white streaks going across the leather and when I wipe them with water they somewhat fade away but when it dries it comes back. Freaking out now.
Hey Chris, please always use any detailing product as instructed. Leather Conditioner has a matte finish, so if you are looking for a shiny finish, use the correct product. We recommend re-cleaning your seats with Leather Cleaner to remove that excess Conditioner. So i ordered the kit with the brush, but the brush wont get here for almost another 2 weeks, what can i use instead of a horse hair brush to clean the leather in my car? or should i just wait
Hey Joshua, you can spray Leather Cleaner onto a clean microfiber towel and then wipe your leather down with that. The brush will be able to perform a deeper cleaning than a simple microfiber towel, but at least you can get a good amount of the surface filth up until your brush arrives! Thanks for being a part of the CG family, Joshua, and stay tuned for a new video headed your way soon!
I am in the process of ordering these products you recommended is their any other suggestions for reducing blue jean coloring on light colored leather?
Hi Jason, from what I've read online, it tends to happen with new jeans. Well washed and worn jeans probably won't transfer. I would probably use a soft blanket, or wear different types of pants lol. We have this same issue because we sit on white leather seats, and jeans are the preferred pants of choice. C.G. Alex -

Hi Saahir, thanks for watching. I recommend using Inner Clean, Total Interior, or Nonsense. The conditioner will most likely leave a residue on your dash, and the leather cleaner is designed to clean leather. You don't want to take the risk of altering the dashboard, stick with the interior detail products. C.G. Alex -
@chemical guys I’ve just used this on 2011 Range Rover and noticed it’s left a little sheen even after buffing with microfibre. Will this go away? Also will this actually penetrate the leather or not because of the top coat?
If the Serum protects from things being absorbed into the leather, how am I supposed to condition it again? Wont the serum get into the pours and block future conditioning?
Hi Brandon, the leather serum creates a barrier, it's not an airtight barrier like plastic wrap, or vacuum sealing. The leather serum will absorb into the seats, and will last for 3-6 weeks before you have to apply it again. The sun will eventually break down the protectants over time, as well as the sweat in your body, and general wear and tear. Remember that leather is dyed and preserved cow skin. Leather has pores, and it will absorb whatever you put into it.
Haha not exactly what I meant, but I see from how I wrote it. I've just seen other videos online where a cleaner changes/fades a less common leather color, such as red. Looks like great products! Can't wait to get it to use on my new red leather :)
Hi Consuela, Chemical Guys Leather Quick Detailer is a great way to clean and nourish your leather surfaces in just one easy step! It's a great product to have around for that regular maintenance. spoonman73 it’s probably a bit late, but treat it like vinyl since it doesn’t have any pores so none of the products get soaked in, the serum might be alright since it protects from sunlight but it might make something like a steering wheel slippery
Hi Jose, how's it going? Leather Cleaner is the only pH-balanced cleaner that is going to gently clean your leather without staining it or changing the texture. It has 47,300 miles on it, and it noticed a little bit of cracks, just a little. Should I use the brush you guys have to scrub it with the conditioner?
Hi ChedderEder, congrats on the G37x! We recommend the leather cleaner followed by the leather serum, which has restorative properties. Definitely use a soft brush for cleaning the leather and a microfiber applicator pad to apply the serum. Hello Chemical Guys.... I just received your leather conditioner and leather cleaning for my 2019 Dodge Ram and I have a question, can I use the leather cleaner to clean the vinyl Parts on the doors in the interior? Or will it damage it....please respond
Absolutely! For easier application, smear the Leather Conditioner into your microfiber applicator first. It will be easier to spread a thin coat across the leather without filling up the perforations.
Hey there! Using a brush helps to agitate the cleaner and lift any stains or odors. A towel can be used for wiping away light messes and spent product. - CG Nick

Hi there, thanks for watching this awesome video. When applying the leather conditioner or the serum, you'll want to let it sit for a minute or two before buffing it off with a microfiber towel. I usually apply the conditioner to the entire seat, front to back, and I grab my towel, and buff the excess so that none of it gets on my clothes. Chemical Guys Alex -
😂sucking all that conditioner into the pours. This was made years ago when more people were enlightened to know that all leather is coated in seats. Any conditioner will sit on top of the coating. This is not needed. Perhaps the cleaner once a month is good. And even wet wipes once a week. Any other dressing is unnecessary
Hi Don, how's it going? Yes, Chemical Guys Leather products work great on all types of fine natural leather, durable sealed leather, and synthetic leather materials. The Breach Detailing you might be conditioning it too often or using too much, when I first used it the leather seamed to just suck all the stuff up pretty quickly, or you might have to buff it out more Edit: I would also assume that the leather cleaner would probably work fairly well to wash out excess product
almost: not quite; very nearly. "Not quite brand new" "Very close to brand new" Neither of these sentences that are derived from the definition are suggesting the leather is new.

Can you use this in suede leather seats?
Hey guys, I have recently purchased a new car! It’s an INFINITI G37x and the leather on my seats are a light grey color.
Will these products affect the color of the leather??? Thank you for your time.
Chemical Guys thank you so much!!! Do you guys have any soft brushes on your website?
Chemical Guys should I use the leather conditioner as well?
Our pleasure, Chedder. Here is the soft bristle brush we recommend: www.chemicalguys.com/Leather_Cleaning_Brush_p/acc_s95.htm
Would this work on a 2019 Camry with red leather ?
Hi Osvaldo! Yes that is correct. Our Leather care works on all types of colored leather. Thanks for watching and thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family!
Hello Chemical Guys.... I just received your leather conditioner and leather cleaning for my 2019 Dodge Ram and I have a question, can I use the leather cleaner to clean the vinyl Parts on the doors in the interior? Or will it damage it....please respond
In the video, they stated that you can safely use it on vinyl.
Undray Jones vinegar and water is all I use for door trim and plastics, the dash and even the glass in the interior and it works great.
nappa leather safe ?
Will the Conditioner work for ventilated leather seats!?
Absolutely! For easier application, smear the Leather Conditioner into your microfiber applicator first. It will be easier to spread a thin coat across the leather without filling up the perforations.
+Chemical Guys how many times do you recommend this practice in extreme conditions (eg 8 months of 40 Celsius atmosphere)?
So i dont need the a brush i can use a towl
Hey there! Using a brush helps to agitate the cleaner and lift any stains or odors. A towel can be used for wiping away light messes and spent product.

Does these products leave any kind of perfume/smell? I hate any kind of perfume. I want real leather smell if possible :)
Hi! The Leather Cleaner is odorless but the Leather Conditioner contains a nice leather scent to it. Thanks for watching and thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family!

I ordered your product to arrive in Germany for a couple of days 😃
does it work on suede leather?
Is there a dry time between products
Hi there, thanks for watching this awesome video. When applying the leather conditioner or the serum, you'll want to let it sit for a minute or two before buffing it off with a microfiber towel. I usually apply the conditioner to the entire seat, front to back, and I grab my towel, and buff the excess so that none of it gets on my clothes.

Great video
😂sucking all that conditioner into the pours. This was made years ago when more people were enlightened to know that all leather is coated in seats. Any conditioner will sit on top of the coating. This is not needed. Perhaps the cleaner once a month is good. And even wet wipes once a week. Any other dressing is unnecessary
Nice video
"your mother looks great now lets move on" youtube subtitles 6:05 lmfao.
the serum leaves leather littlebit slippery, and very little shiny.
Didi you wipe off the excess?
You guys NEVER pick up your phones
We do answer the phone, but there may be people calling ahead of you. Chemical Guys phones are answered in the order received.

OK but can you do an older car?
Hi Don, how's it going? Yes, Chemical Guys Leather products work great on all types of fine natural leather, durable sealed leather, and synthetic leather materials. If ever unsure, test a small, inconspicuous spot before committing no the whole section. Thanks for watching, Don, and stay tuned for a new video dropping tomorrow!

Chemical Guys Thanks for your prompt reply, it means a lot!
Its useless showing your product and applying them to clean cars, i want to see results
Black leather? I thought it was brown
You started the video inside the car
The cleaner works great, the conditionner makes the leather slippery. Dont like it
The Breach Detailing you might be conditioning it too often or using too much, when I first used it the leather seamed to just suck all the stuff up pretty quickly, or you might have to buff it out more
Edit: I would also assume that the leather cleaner would probably work fairly well to wash out excess product
Y would you clean new leather !? Y not put a video to promote products to restore leather like what normal people would do ..
Love to watch a video where they didn't push a product on me.
That’s rare for chemical guys.
How to clean and condition leather? BUY OUR STUFF!
Once a year? Na
Unf Daddy say supple again
The white guy is so hard to watch.
You sure that is real leather? I don't think so jaja
you never invest in a car
There's no such thing as "almost brand new" that you continue to advertise in this video; especially with 4000 miles. It's used Sir.
Peoples Yemi at 4000miles, the car itself is almost brand new
almost: not quite; very nearly.
"Not quite brand new"
"Very close to brand new"
Neither of these sentences that are derived from the definition are suggesting the leather is new.
too technical why can’t we just enjoy the video...
