It's really not that hard to unlock most characters during their initial even... some times it takes another month or so of specials... but usually by the end of the event u should have them unlocked...
Sunfire and wolverines “in raids and war defense” abilities should have been for weapon x and X-men too. Would have made some interesting uses in raids if Sunfire was another battery outside of alpha flight.
Whats funny as some teams come into power some older teams go up in power in like war and crucible since they lack the tools to deal with the older teams.
it would be so nice if buffs to old character affected their old teams too. why can sunfire grant 6 energy to Unlimited AND Alpha Flight. 1 simple tick box and it could revitalise a dieing team and bring more options to the table
I don’t think they are going to be changing the spotlight raids required teams frequently like I initially thought. I suspect they are going to add a new spotlight raid with new requirements to the rotation of the current spotlight raid. So basically the first Spotlight raid will replace alpha, the next will replace beta, etc. then after they have 3-4 Spotlight raids, they will stop adding new ones and will change the requirements for the spider society/alpha flight one. Just when you thought new teams weren’t skippable, they really aren’t skippable. Edit - The reason I think this is because they used the term spotlight raid banner, which I didn’t pick up before. So it replaces the Greek raids banner.
Wow, we're only just getting Mercs for Money and it seems we already have their H4H, Alpha Flight. I think Spotlight Raids are going to be what makes this team unskippable, the War thing is just added value that I very much appreciate. At this point I need T4s more than I need crimson gear. I love the reworks though, 2/5ths of the team is already viable for me which certainly takes a lot of the sting out of building the team.

Getting 3 new characters is cool, but I dunno how I feel about a Sunfire buff. Rogue is already super solid, especially with Gambit at the moment. I can see value in trying to revitalize an Apocalypse team to make the climb to him more rewarding for newer players (like myself) on their way to the big bad....but it's disappointing we aren't getting a full new team of 5. Would have loved to see Puck, Aurora, Snowbird, or Vindicator.
Something that I would like to see coming after the Alpha Flight team comes out, is a team that is based around the Phoenix Force, because we currently already have two Phoenix Force hosts in (spoilers for the marvel comics following) Phoenix and Echo (yes Echo is in the comic a PF host) and then other characters like Rachel and Hope summers could be added next to the actual Phoenix force as a character.
For Sasquatch, why his on turn taunt isn't quite as good as taunt on spawn is that if something causes him to have disrupted prior to any character's turn, then he wouldn't be able to gain taunt. Such as attacking in Reactor (but why have him war offense I wouldn't know). But if there are any other things that could get that disrupted on him before any character turn, then it would apply the same way (not that I can think of any off the top of my head).
Nice that wolverine is getting more love but i'm hoping this year Brotherhood can get some love. Would like to use my Diamond Juggernaut that's rapidly gaining dust
Hell yeah, move X-23 to weapon X. She's doing great for me with an X-men defence team in crucible, now I can use her in offence in war with the bad Boyz.
I really feel MSF missed an opportunity to diversify this team. in the Comics Sasquatch was created like the Hulk in a gamma incident and could be aligned with that Gamma team. Northstar was an X-men. At least they picked up on Wolverine originally being on Alphaflight before X-men.
Teams will not be skippable but this team is easily a G17 team. I have zero issues and thank goodness it saves me from building new avengers. It actually won't take me much resources to build this team imo. Don't have to build them to the moon either just get what works. I been loving war as well and it has helped me increase my power.

Honestly if this is a raid and war team why the hell would I buy the merc for money team. I already wasted 25$ on draken but that's it. This team seems waaaay more important
