    £185k! Seems like a lot of money for a day boat.

    • @hayios0
      @hayios0 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Day Boat for UK maybe..
      So many small islands to explore in the Med.
      As for the price, calculate engines-steering price, vhf, GPS/navigation-electronics, amenities, upholstery, then substract all of the bits and pieces price from the actual boat.

    I am sure the engines on this thing are super-powerful but how tf can anyone justify a £185k price tag on a small inflatable rib? That's f insane pricing.

    This kind of boat seems to belong to another era now that the likes of Axopar have come along with amazing hulls, much more robust construction, and that all important shelter and compact sleeping accommodation.
    A great video Jack, but I am struggling to see the point of this boat other than for a quick blast around the bay then getting back before the rain comes in.

      Do Axopars have "robust" construction???
      I suppose all European boats these days, have to be built to some sort of standards. And to be honest, they all sort of work fine. Mostly. But Axopar is built the same way Merry Fisher and Antares are. With the same components, from the same suppliers.
      The Axopars, and Saxdors, and others, are lower, with less superstructure. So feel more solid on the water, and can carry deeper V hulls without tipping over, so they don't slam as much.
      But they're a very far way off a Targa, Goldfish or Technohull or Seaward wrt. ultimate robustness of construction. Of course, they also cost half, or less, per size of boat, so it's not really a fair comparison.
      I believe their incredible success over the past decade, has more to do with recognising that not everyone wants solely and only the most cabins per Euro or foot; which is what the Benetaus, or even Princesses at a different price scale, were chasing. But also, that people want SOME amenities, like a place to crash for a night or two, a toilet and some minimal galley amenities; which the rib builders neglected. So they ended up hitting a sweet spot which proved VERY lucrative with today's buyers. But bulletproof, ice-class rated floating bunkers, they are very far from.

      One key thing of cobra ribs is that they can be slipped easy and go to all boxes having a beam of 2,55m.

      Not many with the seakeeping, safety, rough sea behavior of such RIBs.

    I would buy a axopar at this price point and get a lot more boat for the money , they handle beautifully and give you important stuff like sun and wind protection .. As a british boat maker this brand should have taken into consideration the british weather and not left the helm open to the elements ..

    Me dan ganas de llorar cuando leo los comentarios, cuanta ignorancia respecto al mundo de las RIB, compararlas con barcos rígidos? con cabina? sabrán que existe ropa de agua? Hard Top? el vídeo es muy bonito y me ayudará a superarme a mí mismo, me alegra de ver canales náuticos por encima de los 150k de suscriptores, un abrazo
