Very relatable
No man left behind
Of all the moves in this division, I think the Lions secondary makeover is the biggest difference maker by far. That is going to be a really good and versatile unit
Yeah but a bears fan isn’t gonna say that
maybe, but also gb has basically given themselves a playoff offense too.. no longer Rodgers old af washed friends
It may take a while for the unit to gel, considering it's an entirely new unit
@@Captainkebbles1392 Love has shown absolutely nothing that points to them being better without Rogers. He could be great. But we sure havnt seen that in his limited playing time.
Except they are still unbelievably thin at outside corner, and defensive tackle. But hey, they spent 1st round picks on a RB, and an off ball LB... positions where that were solid already, and in the case of LB, they're either cutting Anzelone's or Rodriguez's snaps due to the Campbell pick. Best safety room in the NFL though, for whatever that's worth.
Even most Vikings fans didn’t think the Vikings were great. We knew our defense was really passive and weak. Fortunately they did have a few key takeaways late in games. Hopefully last years rookie defensive backs can finally get healthy.
as a Chicago fan, I think Hutch easily takes home division DPOY. So dynamic in the way he gets to the quarterback.
I love that take as a Lions fan lol. Apparently in OTAs and mandatory minicamp hutch has been beating Sewell and Decker up. They are really damn good tackles.
@@thebee0320also lions fan, tackles have NO CHANCE 1on1 in pajamas.
I think the entire NFC North fanbase would probably take Hutch 1st as a DE, hes gonna be a game wrecker
@@Deanbedford1 darrisaw sat him down multiple times last year and gave up no sacks lmao
@@JackLikesCarrots He only had 1 start vs Hutch in his 3rd NFL game as a rookie, and that was before James Houston came in to help on Thanksgiving to stop teams from doubling Hutch the most in the NFL statistically. Darrisaw didnt start in the 2nd match up, so we didnt see how he would fare vs a Hutch would was playing at an elite level during the lions 8-2 stretch.
I love that you guys have given the Kollman curse to all of Detroit's rivals. 6-0 in the division inbound!
Facts. We were 5-1 in the division without a defense so once that improves it’s gonna be fun
It's the Lions they will regress like they normally do and have another good season in 6-7 years with Campbell getting fired in one to two seasons
@@crazle3163Have you looked at their squad? Lol
@@tomvan5759yes
Lions will execute Bully Ball on the North and become Kings 👑 - finally... The Bears got a LOT better. The Packers got much better. The Vikings, I'm not certain but I think their squad improved also. I also think the Lions improved. That all leads to a really hard fought division next year, but the Lions secret sauce is Hero Dan Campbell... Dan will have the Lions fired up to hunt and hurt the rest of the North - take it to the betting bank ;)
Loooool Fields as division MVP "and dare I say...more" 😂- Can't wait for the excuses come week 9 or so. Y'all way too smart for this egregious homerism.
Atlas, I stumble across a voice of reason
"3rd largest market", there's a reason. The bears have given no reason on the field to warrant anything more than fourth in a division. It's very possible, and they've brought in a lot of talent, but that doesn't mean anything right now.
At 36:43 - when the Lions drafted Campbell, my first reaction was "damn that's a high pick for a middle LB" and my second reaction was "Oh no! Rodrigo!" I hope they find a way to keep Rodriguez on the team, but it does seem like he'll see the field less with Campbell coming in. He's one of those feel good stories from Hard Knocks that you just really keep pulling for to stay in the league.
I think that shows the testament that the team is progressing, rodrigo is fantastic on special teams and as a sixth round pick he’s going to be a great rotational linebacker
Oh no we actual have depth. He was drafted for special teams. He will get his opportunities on defense
Different packages.
Rodrigo will be out there on the 3rd and shorts, etc.
Love the Addison pick for Minny, but as far as OROY, Gibbs in Detroit is gonna get so many touches, it’s hard for me to believe he won’t have the most production as an offensive rookie in the NFC North
Not sure about Addison... He keeps signaling character concerns.
I just can't wait until Justin blows up, maaaan. He's gonna own Chicago, if he does what I think he can do. ✊🏽🐻⬇️
Brett wearing the Rob Lowe NFL hat caught me off guard😂
Dying over this hall of Fields conversation.

Thanks for jumping on the bandwagon! Happy to have you along for the ride.
Hopefully we see all the divisions in depth before the start of the season I know y’all get busy , can’t wait for nfc south
James Houston IV will be the best impact defensive player in the North, possibly the league. Mark my words...

You guys are great so glad I get bootleg football for at least 2 years your guys mange the blend of entertainment and journalism for sports and you have legit hood takes that talking heads in the media don’t bring up
My feel is Lions favorite for top, Packers and Vikings fighting it out for #2, and Bears in last place regardless of everything they did in the off-season. But you could make an argument for any ranking of the teams in the Division. Even without injuries there are potential problems with each of the teams and any or all of them could end up being flat-out bad. Or good. This one is going to be interesting.
You guys are just the best

@@fitz2589 Can't argue with rock solid analysis like that. OSU should just get rid of the QB position.
Lions-Vikings twice in the last 3 games, weeks 16 and 18, if one sweeps the other, there's your division champ. I think the Bears need one more good offseason. I think the Pack needs to relearn what life is like without a HoF qb. 8>D
I think the Bears need a couple more offseasons and some evaluations to go beyond expectations. It is much clearer what they want to do with the offense and that rests on Fields' development as a consistent pocket passing presence. The defense needs stability in the trench talent to make pressuring with the front 4 easy so the back 7 can do their work. Also would be interesting to see how the coaching staff develops into their roles. Does Getsy grow along with the young offense in being able to find ways to score against their division rivals? Will be interesting to follow those developments.

Jack Campbell is going to be a pivotal pick for the Lions front office. This is whats going to get them over the hump when you look back at it. Ive never been more happy with a pick a Lions GM has made.
Awesome Badger’s LB! None of my GB pals even liked him but I think he could be a 10yr wrecking ball for Lions! Ugh…curious to assess another Badger’s MLB performance w/Bears. Plus, I hope Sanborn comes back strong! Love Sanborn’s heady play.❤

Happy they said Roschon as a sleeper for OROY for the North. I watched a lot of Texas games last year, so I'm happy the Bears got him. I do agree though with how impactful he'll be given the amount of opportunities he will get in games!
Next year, to extend the episodes even longer, you should show clips from the prior year and see how accurate you were with your rough predictions for players, team metrics, etc
Really like your overall NFL takes on matters. I was groomed to believe only tall WRs were NFL performers until Steve Smith admitted on HIS draft day he weighed 166 lbs at under 5’10”! He sold me on Addison as 1 of 2 draft WRs that have EVERY trait you need to succeed! He assessed JSN as #3-4 best draft eligible WR. I was shocked when all 32 teams passed on 10-RAS TE Kuntz until R7…utterly bizarre (way to go Gute w/R5 UDFA qb n R6 K…phmb)!

Even if we end the season 0-17 there will be the optimism that comes with actually having a top 3 overall selection for once in god knows how long
Good luck with that.
Then you won't be very happy...
sounds like you are gonna be sad if you think the packers are going to be in playoff contention
Still a better team than Bears
Damn I did not realise how good thw NFC North was until now the whole NFC East vs NFC North discussion was really interesting although I think the Bears would match up a lot worse against Washington than the Packers would depnding on who is last
Division is going to be sneaky good this year. Packers and lions competing for the crown.
Can’t wait for your bills episode
The power scores are based on last year correct? They aren’t projected scores for this upcoming season right?
Yep, based on last year
Excellent analysis. My only critique is I think you’re making the same mistake people made with Green Bay last year. Looking at the defense on paper but completely ignoring Joe Barry’s ability to completely squander all that talent
Jordan Love 4,159 yards, Fields 2,562 that’s all.
Can’t find your Merch page!
6:29 How exactly are the NFC North way better? The season hasn't started. Are you saying projection wise?
7:00 a good example of this is when the Bears completely outplayed the Commanders but lost because of a muffed punt and some crazy outcomes inside the 5 yard line by the Bears offense.
How does this channel not have a larger following?
The nfc north will be fun this season.
Brett pulling his best Rob Lowe impression
Other than Detroit the rest of the NFC North is a mystery. My Vikings seem to be in transition. The Packers have a completely unproven quarterback with young receivers. The Bears are in year two of a rebuild.
I respectfully disagree. The Vikings have a super intelligent coach that's going to learn and adapt to this NFC North division... The Vikings are full of talent - full. The Packers had a truly great draft and I think they upgraded their QB ( Rogers was a "me / I guy" and showing definite signs of advanced age - see Hutchinson interception - the Packers may have won both games against the Lions with better QB play...), the Bears are THE MOST IMPROVED and honestly scary - as a Lions fan.
I don't buy that any team in this division is weak. I think this is a battleborn division.
The Lions got better and better yet - Dan Campbell has gotten better. Ben Johnson is maybe the brightest young offensive mind in the entire game. The DBs are now coached by the Dre Bly Show and they got a big upgrade. The Lions coaching staff will be copied and copied and it has already started with more former players getting coaching jobs this off-season than "ever before".
The Lions win the division because of the "Organization" that the Lions Sheila Hamp has built in Detroit.
Detroit is a mystery too, Goff needs to string 2 good seasons together to prove he's that guy, and they are the lions, they are fully capable of lioning all over themselves.
@@iels7346 the idea that any past team can and or will have an effect on a present or future team should have been understood and dispelled before leaving elementary school. Use logic and deductive reasoning along with evidence to support your claims else you will appear as just a troll trying to elicit emotional responses from youthful minds. Use a well formed argument and facts to substantiate your claims, if not just trolling.
Why does Goff need to string two years together? What value does that present? How does two specific seasons equate to being "the guy"? And, while you're at it - define what "the guy" means to you so we can understand your intended point.
As a Lions fan, I'm going to say Jamyr Gibbs for Offensive ROTY and Jack Campbell for Defensive ROTY. I think they will both prove the were worthy of their high first-round picks.
I just don't think the bears are going to click. Don't have any good reasoning, but commenting here to check back at the end of the season. Good luck EJ :)
The Bears have an offensively minded offensive coordinator? Well I would hope so lol
he also said "the packers are healthier now than going into the offseason" I'm like, thats ever team wtf
Yeah, the Bears only won 3 games last year, but they were a helluva lot of fun to watch, and they were in most of the games. .
Didn't the Vikings lose 3 or more starters on that defense, without really replacing them? Hendricks, Peterson, I think I'm forgetting a couple more. Just not sure how they keep up with the Lions
Kendricks -> Hopefully Asamoah
Pat P -> Byron Murphy
Z -> Davenport
Also the by far biggest Addition for Minnesota:
Brian Flores
Not only that they picked up like 20 udfa and most of the draft was defense
@@smittywerbenjaggerman-jens5024 That's it exactly, and all potentially upgrades.
Don't the Lions have to catch up to the Vikes first? And yes the Vikes lost some of their old, slow, expensive guys, and replaced them with fast young guys.
They won’t. These guys are all banking on potential talking about 20 UDFA’s 😂

Can't wait to here this lol, or maybe I should dread it 😂. I just say I got Lions winning, Chicago being a surprise 2nd, Vikings a disappointing 3rd, and the Packers at the bottom but I think the division will be much better then people are expecting. This is the year of the Lions, they are king of the north with 4-5 wins in the division probably 4. As far as rookie TEs, look out for Sam Laporta. I know Musgrave went before him and he's in a good spot but so is Laporta and I think Gibbs could be a big part of that receiving corp for Detroit as a RB and he has a veteran QB. If Goff can get those two the ball, this offense is going to be so dynamic, especially when they get Jamo back, Goff will be able to throw anywhere on the field. I agree the Bears are going to pretty good and may even make the wildcard.
Great Videos! But, how can you predict Justin Fields as MVP in division and not have them win the Division in a QB driven league?
Really picked a WR3 (your words) for OROY over Gibbs who will be a day 1 starter as well as rushing and receiving threat?
Well dude has Jefferson and hockenson to take pressure off of him giving him an easier time to get rookie of the year especially if what he showed I'm college works in the nfl
Watch their Lions episode. They project Gibbs to play the Swift role and Montgomery to play the Williams role, getting the touches in the red zone.

I’m fine with Addison as OROY, but seething about Roschon over Gibbs, and I LOVE Roschon. Make it make sense.
It's just being different for the sake of being different. You can't seriously believe a 4th rounder is going to have a bigger impact than a top 3 most dynamic offensive weapon in college football last year. Gibbs is Kamara+, McCaffrey like. Hard to believe Roschon will be near that, even though I think he can be a very solid starter eventually.
Not only is he healthier then Swift presumably but he's a better reciever and a hell of a lot faster. He's going to be everything we wanted Swift to become but faster. His hands are as soft as any reciever. I think Montgomery will carry the majority of the rushing yards but Gibbs will get his carries too. Not only that, they can line up both backs and create is matches
For dpoy, I think no doubt it should be James Houston.
He only played in the last 7 games last year, and got 8 sacks.
So this year, he could get up to 20 sacks.
Lmao the overlooking of Detroit players is wild good luck on the bad picks
There isn't "alot of good teams" there is about 12 good teams, and 12 bad teams, and about 8 nearly average teams. The Giants/Commanders/Packers/Bears all fall into the nearly average group, with the Commanders/Bears/Packers all more likely to be in the bottom 12 than the top 12.
All of the North have made improvements from the
Draft and for them to have half the money and cap the Bears had they made a heckuva lot of good moves in free agency as well..My hopeful theory on the Bears being ready for a challenge for the title is the Bears still have a lot of cap space and bonus money they have to pay(240 million for the year because they didn’t use money from last year.),so there’s room for I think 2pass rushers and maybe an oline guy to address needs..The main X factor is we have a QB who in my mind can FIX what ails the team by being a Superstar..He is one, whether some think he is a RB or not..lol..P.S. If he is a running back then we will bring back a helluva a Wishbone attack…
Let me settle everything for those that are guessing who takes the NFC North. It's simple to me, THEE, DETROIT LIONS , Have it in the bag!!! 🙂

I really think you could make a case for any of these teams to win the division (Chicago perhaps the least likely), and for any of these teams to finish last in the division (Minnesota perhaps least likely). The North is going to be a hot mess.
Why have a talking point ranking divisions against each other, other than to fill time?
My prediction this year for NFC North: 14-3 Vikings, 11-6 Lions, 8-9 Bears, 7-10 Packers.
I do the Lions winning the divisions second being the Bears third being the Vikings and last place the packers
the best thing about Fields is there is only one way to go and that's up. The Vikings, Packers, and Lions are gonna steal his lunch money all season, so I doubt he'll have that great of a year but we will definitely see some improvement.
Jared Goff was a MUCH better quarterback than Justin Fields last year. Feilds got DJ Moore. Goff got Jahmyr Gibbs. David Montgomery, Marvin Jones, Sam La Porta and is going to have Jameson Williams for 11 games. I think Goff is going to easily be offensive MVP of the NFC North. Also, I think you're underestimating Jahmyr Gibbs he's going to have more yards from scrimmage and more total touchdowns than any rookie in the NFC North and be offensive rookie of the year.
i agree, gibbs will have more receiving yards than addison
Goff's my qb 😎

Not having hutch as a dpoy candidate is insane.
Jordan Love is the biggest X factor in the division. If he doesn't play well, Packers could easily be 4th place. But if he steps up, I can see the Bears taking 4th again. I don't think Fields will have as big of a jump as you guys do.
Bears go 10-7 this year if the defense is good we win 12 games. Last year we were literally tanking idk why ppl act like we weren’t lol but fields was so amazing he kept us in games fields goes off this year 3700 pass 28 TD 800 rushing 8 TD

Man, listening to the Fields talk for MVP is eye roll central for the yearly off season Bears fan narrative.
3.4k total yards and 25TDs with what he had to work with is real. With real receivers and a serviceable oline, who's to say he can't bump that up closer to 4ktotal yards and 30+ TDs? Early in the year he's was pleaugued by drive killing drops, dropped first downs, dropped tds, receivers fumbling away games, returners fumbling away games, centers who fold half a second into a play, a rookie left tackle who got ran through last year and despite moving the ball, they couldn't finish drives. They clicked after the NE game, they figured out how to finish drives, yet it didn't matter because the defense gives up 30ppg. The recievers should be night and day better, Mooney missed half the season, Claypool will be WR3 after being a mid season pick up and DJ Moore is a game changer, plus Kmet came into his own mid way to late last season. If the line can be serviceable the bears are gonna be a fun team. I think they're another year away from being a playoff team, still need Dline help and probably will need another center/guard. But I don't think the idea of Fields having an explosive season isn't out of the question with the help they've got him. I've been a bears fan long enough I'm ready for it, it's about time to put up some points and have the defense be the ones to let us down.
It's so far fetched. Bears fans need to chill

One thing I don’t agree with you guys. I think The Vikings have a hard schedule. And they lost a few key players on offense. If the Bears win twice as many games they would be doing much better. The Lions have so much more talent than you all explained. The secondary will be wicked and it will make the D line better. The Lions have some key players coming back that didn’t play for almost a year. And a few of the players drafted in the past are playing way better. And if the Lions beat GB in the last 3 games in a row with Rodgers I doubt they will be better this year than last. Just a thought.

Absolutely love the bears, as a team. As a fan, I hate every other bears fan in existence. They usually are overly cocky for no reason, or the most negative, piss poor attitude person on the planet when it comes to any decision that the team makes at all. The team itself I think is the most likeable its been in years, with decent, respectable people running the front office, and more young exciting and fun players than its seen in years.
