Time for a class action Lawsuit,
They need to refund all the subscribers for the amount of time the network has been down, since subscribers payed for that time.
That realization that one day the PS Portal will be nothing but a brick, whilst the Vita and PSP from over a decade ago will live on. O.o
So true, i have both psp and vita, they are amazing especially now with modern easy jailbreak for them
Yeah, but that's why it's priced at $200. It's not cheap, but it does border on disposable income territory. I've spent more (regretfully) than that 3 nights at the bar.
When those consoles were launched they were almost twice that price.
I still take your point though. I think a Portal at anymore than $200 would be egregious and stupid for exactly your reasons.
The silly thing is that all they had to do was make the Portal connect directly to the PS5 when you are in house and that wouldn't have happened. You would have lost some functionality but you will still be able to use it in the future.
I don’t see why PS Remote Play should rely on PSN at all. I didn’t know it, and now I‘m pissed.
PS Portal should be able to stream directly from the console in a peer to peer connection with zero need for PSN.
I was pissed, worked 8 hours and could not play Gran Turismo 7 that I own the disc of.
best reason to own a PS5 is GT7, so I get it.
That's a bad feeling right their.
Yeap I'm pissed off. Finally got my simrig setup got most of the weekend off and can't play GT7 because of stupid online connection. Sort your shit out SONY!!!!
And this is one of the caveats here, right? Even if you have the physical media, there are some games that people will simply not be able to play if something that like this occurs again (and it will). And while I'm an advocate of having BOTH physical and digital, physical isn't always the alternative it should be. The main issue is the way console networking works. Having a paywall to access the internet through your platform to access your games is the problem, not digital. If I play a digital game I own on GOG and it's on my PC, I can play it if my internet goes down. If consoles adopted that instead of stupid DRM nonsense, situations like these wouldn't even be a problem. For context, I own both PS5 and PC.
That sucks. I thought that there was an offline version of GT7 that you can access from the disc. Hope they didn’t patch that out or something.
This is why I'm no longer a console gamer. If it's not on GOG I ask myself if it's cheap enough I'd be fine eventually losing access to it.
If the games are playable offline, you could just crack them in case a service like Steam goes offline.
Steam is the last digital storefront I use anymore
Same, but combined with being a semi-obsessive data-packrat. For me, the maximum I'm willing to pay for online-activated software is negative dollars. (It helps that I have a huge enough backlog of DRM-free stuff to not care.)

And $oyny was there in 2013 pissing on MS for that Don Mattrick XBone reveal, only to become the ULTIMATE VILLAIN in that regard. Lesson being? Never trust these console demons. PC up, pirate until you drop.
@@geekgamingnetwork958 Exactly. Mistakes are things that do not pan out, or ideas that were wrong but no one knew at the time. Always Online is a success, it's the goal that was evil. Morality does not factor in to things being mistakes. Saying "consumers need to go suck our board of directors off lol" was a mistake and ubisoft is suffering, doing it silently to put live service on the same level as offline single player games to get people to buy more cosmetics without saying anything dumb about it is an objective success when the goal with fucking over consumers and taking our money.
This is why I don't mess with any PC game that requires a third-party login for single-player, be it Sony or anybody else. You're just daisy-chaining two points of failure together so the publisher can feel better about themself.
That is crazy. Remember the 2011 Sony PSN outage that leaked a ton of user customer data?
I rememver that, what a fiasco it was for Sony too.
Crazy days. I remember my PS3 was on 3.55 and Geohot released the FW hack for it. The flood gates had opened. So open, you could literally download full games through special bookmarks imported into the web browser.

@@alyxgraff9121 piracy has never been stealing, its just copyright infringement
Same goes for the garbage Netflix ect....
True, but if you don't own what you pay for stealing isn't taking something you don't own. If there's no ownership of a game it's impossible to steal it.
This is a perfect example why these game distribution platforms need a good offline mode. Steam is a good example: as long as the game you're playing (or the included DRM *cough*Denuvo*cough*) doesn't require an Internet connection you can play the games you already have installed as if nothing happened.
Edit: GOG is even better since their games are DRM-free, it also makes them better than physical games as you can make backup copies.

back in 2011, people didn’t really understand the magnitude of their personal data being leaked as the internet was not as centralized or important for daily life. nowadays since the internet is such a significant part of daily life, people are definitely going to be less forgiving. people who forgot about the 2011 sony hack or never experienced it, are probably gonna get a wake up call. not just on trusting these corporations with our data, but also on digital hygiene and security.
Big tech has data breaches all the time and no one cares.
naw, most people are fatigued and don't even care anymore. Everybody knows their stuff is already leaked anyway.
This is why DRM free entertainment is so important, both for digital and physical, either of those won’t matter if the media has DRM and the servers go down. Emulators and backups don’t have this issue, that’s true ownership, being able to run your stuff offline not tethered to a distribution service.
EXACTLY!
This isn’t really a physical vs digital issue
This is a DRM vs Ownership issue…
Too many single player games require an “online check” regardless if they are physical or digital. Not to mention Sonys history with removing media from people’s library’s.
I’m not saying digital doesn’t have issues, it does… but the larger issue is ownership and forced DRM.
To clarify…
Yes, this current situation is overwhelming affecting digital players more than physical players
But the larger issue is the need for “permission” to use something you’ve paid for, aka ownership or the lack there of.
Almost no games on PS4 and PS5 need an online check. Any that do I don't buy or I get rid of.
Yeah I was thinking that. Even Nintendo does not do this other than the classic subscription games.
This is why I’ve mostly moved to GOG when possible and steam secondary. I think those clinging on to physical, physical doesn’t mean a ton these days. At least w GOG, as a nuclear option, you can backup the install files in case it goes down in the future you still have the install files.
@@Gamesta100Almost all Activision, Ubisoft & Electronic Arts Game need an Online Check...these are the 3 Major Publisher.
Single point of failure with poor resiliency. What can possibly go wrong? That's ironic when you know that the Internet network itself emerged as a VERY resilient piece of engineering but now that we live in technofeudalism we all bow down to a handful of corporations selling us live services.
Steam tells you in its disclaimer you don't own the game, you own the license to play the game. We HAVE to push back against all-digital libraries and support physical media or the video game industry will follow the movie industry with its streaming only ownership.
I love the few devs on steam who upload their games without steam being required. Noita and Songs of Syx for example, those games just launch, no matter if steam is running or not.
This is why I've stuck with Switch and I'm buying physical carts left, right, and center (new and old games). Having Switch 2 also be cart based is peace of mind for me. I will unequivocally will be amassing a huge physical collection for that too.
As an Aussie man in his late 30s, I doubted my big physical library of PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, 3DS, Gamecube Wii, Wii U, Switch, 360 and Xbox One games for a long time, almost feeling ashamed of how much money I spent on them and how many bookshelves I have. Can't buy physical games for PC anymore, and good luck actually finding any AAA games on console that actually come on the disc and don't require day one patches just to play
Agreed with only 2. If 2 is followed then 3 is irrelevant and 1 is out of our control, other than not supporting those games.
And they wanted to force PSN on Steam users.
Even owning the disc doesn't help if you want to play any dlc on a non-primary console. Save files can't even be moved to a primary console offline. EVERYTHING needs to be verified through an online connection. Absolutely unacceptable.
And you all are still forgetting about the release state of games and how many patches are needed for them to run properly. Physical means very, very little today. If the server where the patches are from goes down, so does your physical game. The only real solution is either buying from GOG and making backups of the offline installers or sailing the seas.
Not to mention, all your saves are held hostage by a PS+ subscription... Can't back them up to a USB like you could on PS4 and PS3, so if your don't have PS+, or let the lapse long enough for your saves to be erased, or your console dies, say goodbye to your game saves... Unless the game saves to a third party cloud service, then you're safe from Sony's BS, only to have your saves held hostage by another company... Unless you have cross saves that let you back them up manually if you have a PC copy of the game, like with Cyberpunk
Even physical media wont save you if its still needs some drm check server side in this kind of case, hence why Stop Killing Games campaign are so important, it is not about force devs to support game indefinitely but to remove arbitraty restriction for game that didnt need it (games that can be play solo ) at the first place or later down the line or for multiplayer game to release the server file for community to host
Not only that, physical media will eventually rot (literally in some cases) and console manufacturers have put a lot of work into preventing people from making backup copies of their games.
DRM-free games on an open platform like the PC are the only true solution for long term game preservation.
@electricindigoball1244 Lol if you don't take care of them maybe. All my games work just fine.

3. The issue with digital media is that it's easy to not notice the degradation in advance and once it happens there's nothing you can do to undo it hence the need to have backup copies.
4. Even if you take perfect care of your physical copies they can still be damaged due to events outside of your control.

Physical media doesn't solve the problem of an "always on" requirement. You could ship games on a floppy that need a connection to a server. Only DRM free games/stores are the real solution. I can store my games from GOG wherever I want and install/run them without a internet connection.
Even old school CD based DRM has issues now, where it isn't compatible with modern OS and requires no CD "patches" to run.
Games like GT7 that rely on sever to access single player progress need an offline patch ASAP.
And then there's the problem where you have to reinstall the game but with the servers offline
Patches don't solve the problem. They merely postpone it
This was already known when GT7 released. Everyone was outraged, and they didn't do a thing about it. That and the awful in game economy (fueled by microtransactions), was enough reason for me to not bother with GT7. And GT7 was the only game I'd buy a PS5 for. So no GT7 and no PS5. Good riddance! This is why I'm into retro gaming. Those games are always available whenever I want.
My Amiga + MSDOS gaming PC + Retropie + Spectrum keeps me happy in my little world😊
Modern gaming could learn a lot from that era.
But consider that PS3 games are now retro... someone with your mindset wanting to play some classic PS3 games will be really disappointed with how many have locked features or locked/lost DLC giving incomplete game experiences. It's more than just online vs offline. It's access to the game you paid for, and essentially having the rug pulled out from under you, having physical media that is useless or only partially functional.
Fully digital is obviously worse. You can be sure they are selling you a "games as a service" type bs.
1:50 Nah that's not it. Physical Media isn't a guarantee look at Windows Gaming Live and lots of DRM schemes that require activation servers. For example, I do have a phyiscal media copy of GTAIV on my shelf. But I cannot play it. Not on my current PC and not on my prized period accurate gaming PC from 2009. This is because GTAIV has a SecuROM 7 DRM scheme that only allows activation through a server to play, that server is gone. And therefore the only way to actually preserve this version of the game I have is a cracked EXE. THAT Preserves Video gaming history.
Now add to that the almost always necessary zero-day patch... physical media ain't the solution.
Can you guys plz make ur own fucking research before actually coming out spreading misinformation regarding this topic cuz its not all Physical games that are like this
Sure some games are like this and I do agree that its a problem that needs to be solved but for the most part Physical games if done right can properly preserve the game that u paid money for... a Good example would be RDR2 as the Physical release has 2 discs and u can play the game completely offline on ur PS without ever needing to have ur console touch the internet connection and the patches are completely optional
Windows gaming live is not the same as physical media on console, GTA IV on PS3 and Xbox 360 don’t require any internet to play from disc. Most offline single player games can be fully installed and play from the disc completely offline on consoles.
@@stealth6413 Older PC games also didn't require any online connection, but later releases with such DRM might.
Digital releases are likely to have more/stricter DRM though, because no major corporation wants to sell digital stuff without heavy DRM due to how easy it is to copy compared to physical media.

Even Steam allows you to make backup copies of your game files so you can restore your game library without re-downloading your games (which you can play in offline mode without Internet access as long as the game itself doesn't require Internet access).
Well Nintendo is sticking to their carts and choosing to use carts for the Switch 2.. Nintendo won me over with that one..
"I"m sure most adult gamers are in the same boat as I am" I am sorry, but most adult gamers simply do not care enough to quit gaming over something like this, they will just wait till PSN is back online then continue to buy their games digitally
They will find ways to get money from you anyways
I don't need to replace gaming. I have 14 consoles and about 1000 games across those consoles and I'm always happy to replay old games or beat old games I've never beaten before.
So far this year I've played more PS2 than I have PS5.

Glad my Sega Genesis and N64 still work. Long live retro gaming!
This video was fantastic. I can't remember the last time Steam stopped you from playing your games. Consoles shouldn't be like this. The days of the Snes, Sega etc are over.
I hear you brother, you made a solid case for physical media!
I am 62, so it's first nature to hang onto my music, movies, TV shows & games, physically, as they belong to me!
And movies are getting censored on streaming services so that's a great reason to keep physical media.
Crocodile Dundee, Toy Story 2 and Home Alone all have scenes removed for streaming services.
Not only that but 4K BD movies also are getting the same censorship their streamed counterparts get.
Physical media is still superior to any other option when it comes to movies, music & tv shows.
Could you imagine if the PS6 came out in late 2027, but with no disc drive, and it required the internet to play your games? 😂
Side eye meme
"Could you imagine having absolutely no desire whatsoever, EVER, to buy a PS6?"
@@drmegamaneasily, cause I don’t have any interest in the ps5 already. What a joke of a console. Make me miss the good old times such as ps1 2 and 3
"imagine" like they haven't been trying to phase out disc drives with digital editions of their consoles..
I think that seems to be the way things are going, actually. "You can just stream the game straight to your ocular nerve via your neuralink, what do you need physical media for?"
Some physical media cant be played straight from the store either because it needs an "update" to launch. "You will own nothing, and you will be happy."
That's not true at all. As long as your console isn't connected to the internet before you first install the game, it will install and run just fine. The only problem is that, before installing the day-one patch on most games, the vanilla 1.0 version is more than likely full of game-breaking bugs, but most games are perfectly playable without it.
Not even physical games was even able to play, even with my PS5 Pro set as primary! A wake up call indeed. I work in the IT industry and can definitely say this isn't like regular maintenance as Sony claims. Very disappointed!
DRM-FREE digital is also a solution, more people could be made aware of. Like the GOG model:
- Playable offline - Independent of corporate servers/services.
- Offline installer - allowing gamers to install or back up their game on any compatible hardware
- Ownership - Most important all. Will not be taken away from you and still be functional.
Other benefits of DRM-FREE digital
- Game preservation
- can use P2P, LAN, Adhoc, Splitscreen and offline bots for multiplayer options, without all the corporate online hooks for microtransactions, lootboxes, ads, nfts, subscriptions etc....
- easier to mod
Physical media is important, however most people prefer digital, so DRM-Free digital is a practical solution for the shift towards all digital.
It's the only solution
Physical media won't help if the game itself needs online connection to work.
6:13 no, transparency is better, many companies post full white paper post mortems on hacks this should be the norm
People actually pay thousands of dollars to unlock characters which are on their local ssd, they pay server side to let them play with that character. What the humanity has become ...lol It's gonna continue like this and it's gonna be worse.
I survived. I got more gym time, played an offline game instead and kept on watching movies and TH-cam.
You're kind of the Louis Rossmann of the video game world, and I appreciate that!

Down for me here in the UK. Getting late so off to bed. Hopefully our info isn't all over the dark web tomorrow 😂
I’m slowly starting a physical collection of 5th, 6th and 7th gen games for exactly this reason. It’s kind of like having a backup generator. One day all services will be turned off to some degree, and most recent games, even physical ones will be rendered unplayable.
Case in point, even the PS5 disc drive add-on requires an online licence to work. That’s a ticking time bomb right there.
5th 6th and 7th generation consoles are also ticking time bombs. Buy and emulate on a PC
@ We’re all ticking time bombs essentially - our hardware will go out sooner or later. A console can be fixed. An online service cant.
Amen to that brother, I use my ps3 as much if not more than ps5, games weere awesome.
It’s an absolute joke to be at the mercy of Sony, and plays into question their ideology of their ecosphere of needing to be online to validate games that you already own. your not buying a game from Sony, all your buying is a license that they can revoke directly, or in this case by proxy holding you to ransom, and that’s a crap way of doing business.
Money & greed breed contempt!!!!
So, how do you stop piracy? Stop being a greedy company and start putting your consumer experience first!
With greed and DEI, I don't trust even remakes/remasters of games anymore, let alone my interest in a Jak title where you play as Damas from Jak 3.
Been over a year since I dropped PS+, basically retired my ps4 and switched back to PC full-time. I miss my PS friends but I don't miss paying to play online or the ecosystem in the slightest.
It's not really a "digital issue". On Steam you download and install Steam, download and install all your games, go offline, and never needing to go online again. You can even backup that installation of Steam + its library to gain unlimited access to your games. Unless of course, if specific games use 3rd party online DRMs or other online requirements. That is still an issue. All digital services providers however, should offer a complete "offline mode", or even better "no DRM" mode for anyone to feel confident in spending money on the games being sold...
Moved to pc gaming last year , best move ever.... The lack of transparency from Sony is typical.
As long as we keep returning to companies that use predatory tactics, they'll keep seeing it as beneficial to lie to us and diminish our ability to have ownership of their hardware and software.
This! If we purchase from companies that screw us over and over again, then they'll just continue to do it.
They kinda have a monopoly... if you want affordable gaming hardware that'll play all the AAA games you choose between what? Playstation and Xbox? Either you drop AAA and nab a steam deck or build a really cheap PC or you drop affordable and get PC gaming, or you choose a comically evil company that just doesn't do this coincidentally, and buy a switch??? I dunno. Obviously piracy, but I think the actual strat might be to get your friends who would never pirate a game comfortable to the idea, and give them a flash drive with something really safe and chill like some GoG install files some time. Voting with our dollar doesn't work when the best game store is explicitly for old games (GoG) and the second best supports all anticheats because that allows it to succeed more (steam) and EVERYONE else is a monster.
Been playing my disc games like usual (retro and modern), so this is no different than any other gaming weekend for me. I know the physical landscape is getting dire and I'm not fond of waiting an additional two months to get my hands on something like Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, but still, I'm riding out physical media until the end. I won't pay full price for digital licences that I can't be sure of owning.
Always remember that you deserve what you put up with.
This is why I never pay for Online Subscription Services because THIS can happen. The fact that Sony has not responded yet gives huge red flags that something huge happened and they do not want to talk about it. Companies can just straight up steal your money for paying a fee for a Service that will die somewhere in the future and if the Service goes down overtime you are losing precious hours wanting to play a game.
and I mean LOOK Around, there are so many of these Subscription Services that Companies THINK It's the future. For me it's not. I would rather buy a game Physically if I can and avoid Multiplayer all the way. Because it's not worth it. Once a Multiplayer Service starts and then go 1 week into the future nobody is probably playing it anymore in the Country. I personally really dislike games that have the so called "Online Only Feature" who thought Online Only was a good idea?
#OfflineGaming
You need a license.... for a damn DVD drive? Hell nah.
Well, Sony know that it is possible for devices to diguise as other devices to walk around the console security.
So it is possible that a USB Stick with a payload identfys as a disc drive.
Online licensing seemed to be the only option for Sony to get around that problem
I had no idea, I was just blissfully unaware playing on my PS4
PlayStation 4 is still great. Keep on playing, I'd say. You're not missing much by not having a PlayStation 5. I have one and sometimes wonder why... 😅
@@dynastymusou8906 Yeah, I've had a PS5 for years and have barely played it, but I still play the PS4 all the time.

Spot on!
To be fair… this PSN outage only affected people wanting to play online… or those owning multiple PS4/PS5 console who (for whatever reason) didn’t have access to the one set as main. First World Problems indeed. Those who own just one single PS4 or PS5 console were able to play any physical or digital games offline during this outage.
Whenever I read people writing about how consoles are so cheap and PCs are so expensive... Imagine not being able to play all your games because a single online service went offline.
At least on PC you can just google "(game) {popular repacker}" :')
Is there a way to play physical discs on pc these days or DRM free games?
You mean like many Windows, Linux, Xbox and PS5 games?
You noticed how Windows and Linux is in that question?
@ Just DRM free via gog. Many games still require external servers so the OP is extremely dishonest.
@@Zermer34 Google "External DVD drive". Good luck with any DRM though.

Not sure what your point is? Anyone who followed the instructions during their PS5 setup was able to play single player games (digital or physical) in offline mode, just like you could with your PS2.
ive been buying all physical media for the last few years.......i dont like the direction of the industry. Very anti consumer-centric market right now with all digital that you can lose, and without a worthwhile discount
I think the shift from art to content isn't just a symptom in the video game industry. I think streaming has changed the studios' perspective of TV and movies from art into content as well. But I'm worried that this lack of soul, the lack of purpose and inspiration that content provides in comparison to art is going to weaken the population's drive and passion to push for the best for themselves. If art isn't encouraging you to hope for the best outcome, why would you ever work to make your world better?
I was unable to play my 2 favorite games, GT7 and Hitman WoA
Good job Snoy, we need a MASSIVE class action suit
I paid, I own the game, I do NOT need to be authorized by a server to play - ENOUGH!
Sadly, when times go by, the last disc based games, maybe on PS6, when the PS6 has a disc drive, will just be reduced to an installation media. I have my doubts anything will be left without online connection.
What bothers me the most is the possibility to modify/disable content at any time the publisher/service provider wants. For instance for the music in GTA 4 or original advertisements in burnout paradise (both really old titles, can only get worse).
"be reduced to an installation media"
Uh... I have news for you. Even a few PS3 games were already like that and every PS4 disc requires you to install on the HDD.
The thing is, if all the data is in the disc to make the game playable then you won't need an internet connection.
@@Manic_Panic I know. But they "start". They have a kind of offline validation on it. Wouldn't be surprising when this would go away. Was the same for the last PC games on physical media, where you just had a Steam Key and the installation media, which wasn't even needed.
Actually since PS4 and PSVita, your Games is Nothing more than Installation Media...
Its a PKG File Format that require to be installed whatsoever.
They start because they have a Licence with End Time not defined.
If these Licence or Any bit of the Disc get to be corrupted, its over (Failed HASH Checksum Verification).
all these hardware manufacturers would wanna claim that Blu-ray is the only way you can get physical games. no. make cartridges. Physical will always live on. people will prove that a digital only future is not EVER welcome
Correction: DRM-free will always live on. Doesn't matter if the console uses disks, cartridges or memory cards, all physical data storage mediums will stop holding data eventually. The only solution is to make copies on new storage devices.
I mean Nintendo still uses carts.
i also think cartides are the future especially if it means that there no longer will be a need to install the games onto the console, thus freeing up most of the storage. Also flash cartridges would be able to be faster and larger than blu ray, which seems to soon be discontinued as more and more manufacturers stop making them anymore.
PSVita really had a nice thing going with those game cards.
The next generation of discs will come out relatively soon, at least for servers and other read only things. Think Terabyte discs to replace cheap hard drives.
I have a physical copy of Gran Turismo 7. The thing is that in offline mode, the game can't access cars and everything else on player's profile. Locked out with a physical copy!
Pop in the cartridge and play the full game...what a novel concept!
Man, I picked a really good time to finally get around to playing the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Slept through this whole blackout.
*CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT*
We pay Sony a monthly/annual payment for online services. They should be required to pay us back a proportion of the fee we paid, for all the days the service is unavailable, since we payed for those days.
*WE DESERVE A REFUND*
Do you also get a refund if your car breaks down or something goes wrong in the home
@
If I am making monthly lease payments on my car (like paying a subscription) then yes repairs are covered.
You clearly have never bought a car before, but that’s okay🤣
If you’re renting a house (like paying a subscription to live there) then yes, the landlord is responsible for repairs if something goes wrong that’s not your fault.
You’re entitled to compensation of rent back if something happens and you’re unable to live on the property you’re paying to rent.
Just like if you’re paying for any service and it is not provided, you’re entitled to compensation back for the services not being rendered.
A few people I know have ditched consoles for the PC - The PS5 Pro pricing drove them back to PC. Yes they spend more money, but if your going to spend lots on a console, might as well get a PC.
Plus all the sony games are eventually coming out of PC anyway. Might as well put that PS5 pro money towards a GPU or handheld computer. Yeah it doesn't look as nice on the steam deck as the ps5 but I can can play it anywhere.
If sony goes diskless there won't be a reason to go for a console other than just needing something cheap to play games.
Buy the PC and then there are Windows issues.
Take a look at the higher end console cost VS what one would need in cost for a PC. Worse yet, take a game such as the newest Microsoft Floight Simulator - a game which can cost many thousands in PC hardware. If one has a 64 core chip or better *a game* will actually use almost of half of that processor
@ronaldckrausejr7762 "Buy a PC and then there are windows issues"
Spoken like someone who is talking out of zero experience with PC Gaming.
Almost none of the issues a PC gamer will encounter are related to windows.
This is like someone saying: "Buy a bike and then you will have pedal issues."
It still astounds me that the add-on disc drive needs an internet connection. Is the prospect of a third party drive that threatening to Sony?
Your little rant at the end was absolutely perfect. I'm only 23, but I can remember the days of putting a disc in my Xbox or PS2 (and providing you didn't scratch them), getting straight to gaming. Even early 2010s - loved BF3/4, Halo Reach, etc, all great games that existed online without the need to be either A) asked to bring your credit card out or B) reminded to bring your credit card out. Much simpler times.
8:38 for those worried about clutter, buy discs only and store them in a large cd folder. Might not be the full package but the content matters most. :)
