Another thing to mention is that this uses a pull spring instead of a compression spring so the resistance is the same the entire stroke. I just got a 5000 DW and I was seriously disappointed in the fact that they use a compression spring. I think I'm gonna stick with my Pearl untill I can get my hands on a lathe and make some parts to convert this DW. It's also gonna get a lever glide linkage like this TAMA but the fulcrum will come from the bottom via chain. Should be fun.
That last bit about storing the rod was exactly what I needed to know. I just could not figure out how to put it together when I first got it. Thanks!
Omg i was getting pissed about the exact same thing. I thought they had put the spring seat in the wrong end, thank you for your comment.
Same here Baito, thought I was going mad, typical Tama common sense comes to the rescue!
Very happy with mine. Best 200+ Euros I ever spent.
When did the mob start doing drum reviews? Buddy looks like a hitman for the Sarducci family.
Simple drum key, the spike comes out, hi-hat will move no more... Fo'getta'bout'it!
😂
Great video. Learned a lot about my stand i didn't know it had or could do. Thanks!🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
