It looks like an intelligent attempt to sell of as much as possible at the highest price whilst pretending not to be destroying his personal curation of the objects. Whether one thinks this is reasonable compilance with the, no doubt legally constrained and legitimised, money-grubbing in the interests of various felidae; or Pissaro come amongst the Inca - is a matter of personal taste.
