At first I was upset about Ryan Walters, but after he started recruiting well I thought okay maybe he will turn it around. This team has talent on it. I think where he messed up was hiring his friends instead of tried and tested veteran coaches that he could also lean on and learn from and continue to grow as he gains experience. When you are a leader of men and is put in charge of your friends that is some of the hardest things to do. Also looking at what Illinois continues to do good we can look back and see Walters had NFL talent on that Defense and it wasn’t him. Pair that with Graham Harrell he has not been a good OC and at times looked lost. Going forward they need a process driven, and program that is grounded in discipline and buy in to the program. Purdue has great fans, great facilities and is in the B10 and between Indianapolis and Chicago. There is no reason why Purdue can’t compete with the big dogs I think the mindset of some of the Purdue faithful needs to change and I believe it’s starting to.
Hey Dowd! I see you kinda like my guy Brent Vigen. Looks like he'll go to Fresno State, but while he's run first, he actually uses what athletes he has to define his attack. Still, I like Chadwell first. Thoughts on Bronco Mendenhall?
Bobinski was involved in hiring Walters, right? So I don't care what he says about anything. HE SHOULD GET FIRED ALONG WITH EVERYONE WHO HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS DECISION AND DIDN'T FIGHT IT. Right from the beginning you knew this was a bad decision. An unproven assistant into a major program as the head coach? Seriously? It was a DEI hire and anyone with any brains can see that and ultimately I think the guy who got hurt the worst was Walters who's rep is now totally damaged. He might have eventually been a good coach, who knows. But now, he suffers and the Purdue program suffers big time. Fire everybody involved and take his buyout out of the Purdue President's salary. Or better yet, can him too. The biggies at Purdue are probably trying to pretend this is just business as usual, i.e. a coach isn't working out and we have to find a new one. Well it's NOT business as usual. Heads, BIG heads should roll over this.
It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood
LB-Rose, WR-Sutherland and TE-Stratton were the 3 Lunatics from that team.
If Walters “interviewed great” and Helton “didn’t interview well” then perhaps there’s an issue with the interviewer.
Keep in mind that any coach at Oregon is wind aided........
Purdue should’ve gotten Rich Rodriguez. Great hire by WVU
15-22 in the B1G with UM resources

We won’t ever be elite but we should be at the Level of an Iowa or Wisconsin or Illinois. Bowl games regularly

Like they say would you rather be G league (acc,big12,)poy or 10th man on the Pistons(Big 10, sec)
Brock Spack has got to be in his mid 60's he would have been a good hire 10 yrs ago but I think his time has past.
Teams that win the championship will have played 15 or 16 games to get there, it's a lot
I want a proven head coach, winning record thr last several years. I hate to admit it, but Cignetti 2.0 would be great.
Barry Oden go go offense
# hire Pat Fitzgerald!!!
Rich Rod is NOT the answer!
Why don't YOU reire,a nd then Purdue can Hire from there.
