If only all these ideas would be implemented, we Nigerians are tired of hearing 80/20. They want to make a success of their music but don't want to invest in their industry. All these noise will not solve any problem but there are none. The problem of Ghana music is pride. Everybody in Ghana is a teacher. Where are the students? In Nigeria, we have only students. Everybody wants to learn. Even the teachers in the music industry at a certain level want to learn. Look at the olamide/ Asake relationship, Davido/Mayorkun and johnny drille/ Don Jazzy. Artists are allowed to express themselves, that enabled them to be managed better.

I recall when Nigeria had this problem. local content vs imported content. a combination of regulation, creative improvement, togetherness and collaboration alongside strategic penetration into the larger music industry organizational structure helped fix this. However, without taking responsibility, nothing will happen. This discussion is bringing up all the solutions to the identified problems but lacking in the will to take responsibility to kick off the change.

@@bennyfrimpong1819 It's deep bro. It's not just an agenda by the media, but all your industry players, including your artistes and their management, are in on this agenda to poison the mind of the average Ghanaian consumer against Nigeria. For instance, your Ghanian artistes and their management see the analytics at the backend, they see that Nigerians truly stream Ghanaian songs (even more than Ghanaians do), but I have never seen any of them come out openly to say this truth; none of them that I know of has come out in the media to tell Ghanaians that they are truly being supported by Nigerians. Instead, we have people on Stonewboy's team coming out to make the preposterous claim that Nigerians are against Ghanaian musicians. Also, only Gyakie shared her Spotify wrap ( that I know of) and it showed that Nigerians stream her songs more than Ghanaians. I think Camidoh shared his (I'm not sure which year) and it showed that Nigerians stream his songs more than Ghanaians. I dare the rest to share theirs. They will not share theirs, because it doesn't suit the narrative they are pushing in their propaganda.

Ghana music is Highlife Music and till our artist stop this kinda of “ am Dancehall and reggae and am dancehall king and am hipop and am R&B, Ghanaians will forever love foreign music cuz their artist are doing foreign music, so till our artist focus on making highlife and hiplife the agenda and trend none of our artist will be successful cuz authenticity is very important in music. @@fesderi3933 Highlife is a music genre that started in West Africa, along the coastal cities of present-day Ghana in the 19th century, during its history as a colony of the British and through its trade routes in coastal areas. It describes multiple local fusions of African metre and western jazz melodies.[1] It uses the melodic and main rhythmic structures of traditional African music, but is typically played with Western instruments. Highlife is characterized by jazzy horns and multiple guitars which lead the band and its use of the two-finger plucking guitar style that is typical of African music. Recently it has acquired an uptempo, synth-driven sound.

@sunnyya ds378@papap1186 at least one Nigerian care enough to reply. Yes, Nigeria is bigger than Ghana but too strong to ignore.

@michaelbrew9743 , at this point, we just want Ghanaians and Cameroonians to stop playing Nigerian music, leave us alone and stop talking about Nigeria. We hope that will help their music industries. Please ignore Nigeria. Everyday, Nigeria this, Nigeria that. Enough is enough!
