    I just purchased this deck & it is amazing. Great packaging, informative guidebook, excellent artwork & card stock. This is rare these days. I do card deck reviews & own alot of decks & this is definitely one of quality. Thank you for creating it.

    Just received the card deck - it really is very beautiful, with extensive information and explanation - and with the astonishing artwork of Joan Larimore -

    Thank you sooo much Paul. I've wished for years that these were cards so I could use these beautiful pictures easier. The ebook is great but this is great too.

    Thank you for making this video. I was wondering how I would see the changing lines. You gave the answer here, so now I'm heading over to Book depository and clicking "buy now".
    I've been wanting the deck from before it was published. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    I struggle picking a card when it comes to my intuition . I rely on my cards popping out when shuffling. I hope that is alright since i feel i need my energy to tell me directly instead of choosing. I wonder if this method can be just as effective. I just purchased the deck. I’m looking forward to it :)

    I've been using the Visionary I Ching. I just got the same card for present and future. I'm wondering what this means. My question was, "message for today". I guess it makes sense because my question was for today and not really any future involved. Your thoughts?

    Are these cards as reliable as tossing the coins?

    Revolution ---> Youthful Folly : Sounds a lot like what happened on Jan. 6, 2021. (Although, of course, that interpretation probably doesn't apply to the question you asked about how best to cope with the pandemic.)

    A response very close to the times we are living has come out. I think, however, that using a deck of cards means first of all letting yourself be carried away by their visual aspect, which is a bit neglected in the video.

    Hi, in the amazon description of the set it says "an updated version of the ancient chinese oracle", what does that mean exactly? How can you "update" the original i Ching? Hope it is still the original, unchanged. Best greetings

      @paulo8949 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm ... this was our publisher's doing, and who really knows what the "original" is when it comes right down to it. The text of the I Ching was originally composed some 3 thousand years ago, and greatly added to by Confucius among many others, in ancient Chinese scripts, very few of which survived over time. There are a few translations in English that were made from surviving ancient Chinese texts, including the Wilhelm-Baynes version that was published by Princeton in the mid-20th century, when it was translated from German into English (along with a profound introduction by Carl Jung, who defined the terms "synchronicity" and "archetypes" to describe how the I Ching works). Since then, that most popular translation has been considered the gold standard. I don't read ancient chinese, so our version is actually an "update" of the Wilhelm-Baynes version, like quite a few others on the market, to make it more accessible, easy to understand and useful for modern users.

      @@paulo8949 thanks for the detailed answer! What "original" truly means is indeed questionable in this case. Also concerning the Tao Te King/Ching, i m astonished at the variety of translations (i ve read german and english Versions, which partially appear SO different.). Maybe i ll learn old chinese in a different lifetime, haha. - And concerning the carddeck: i m glad about this new set, as it seems visually pleasant / made with heart.

      Sorry you feel that way ... it's a vague critique ... not sure what you were hoping for from a 6 minute video introducing a new form of casting the I Ching? Do you not understand what the I Ching is? if not, please check out our Divination.com website. Thanks

    You say on your website "The Visionary I Ching (...) is non-sexist", and yet you say at the second line of hexagram 37, "Manage your brood like a housewife." Non-sexist? Pah!

    • @notoriousalien
      @notoriousalien 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh shit. does it really say that? oof. i'm in search of a good iching deck that is detailed

    • @delamare777
      @delamare777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@notoriousalien If you really want to use a card deck instead of the actual Yijing I think the Tao Oracle Cards by Ma Deva Padma might appeal to you. But keep in mind that the Yijing is originally not a deck of cards, and that every card deck will only show you the maker's perception of the Yijing, instead of the Yijing itself.
