I was privilege to meet one of his band member named Fatai Fayiga before he died . He mentioned same point Ayankunle talked about. Selfish , oath taking and too bossy.
You people believe Ayankule lies because most of you hate K1 and refuses to ask the right questions. None of you see anything bad in what Ayankule did in early 90s by running away. All of you believe Ayankule never offended K1 at any time. During the interview none of you see Ayankule complained about almost everyone in the band that’s shows is not a peaceful person and someone with a bad attitude. We must accept that once an allegation is made against someone that that person has the right to respond or reply. As such K1 has chosen to respond to some of the recent allegations levelled against him.
My observations are as follows:
• K1 is factual in regards to how shows are sourced, how visa’s, work permit, taxes etc are all paid. The person who bears that burden is the bandleader.
• K1 is also right in the reason why passports are collected whilst abroad but he did not explain why passports weren’t returned when the band members got back to Nigeria. He should have been asked that question.
• K1 says the sharing formula currently is 60/40. 60% to the band & 40% to the bandleader. Again it’s not clear if that is money sprayed at the party or charges or a combination of both. K1 says they get paid weekly but they have three shows or thereabout in a week. The question then is, do the band members have knowledge of what was made per a show? The reason for this is that band members won’t think they were short changed.
• K1 has not really addressed some of the very pertinent allegations raised against him in Ayankunle’s interview such as the oath taking & taking of band members clothes etc.
• His response is more or less a generalisation of experiences in a band. As we all know there would be certain issues prevalent to specific bands and their management.
• Personally I think some of the issues of bandleaders and their band members is mainly communication and the lack of being transparent. If there is more transparency some of the issues raised and highlighted would be negated.
• K1 mentioned that if 28 members shared N10million again it’s not clear if such money is what was made from individual shows or they get paid on aggregate which means that Ayankunle would be correct in his reasoning if after 46 shows a band member is paid N370k or thereabout. There is no clarity on that point.
• Lastly, this interview should have been done by a third party media group. The owner of Goldmyne TV is K1’s paddy hence hard questions wasn’t asked and that is what we can see from this interview.
NB: I must commend K1 for paying his members electronically however money made on stage should be made transparent.

For a band like K1's 10million can come in 2 shows if it's a show that has all the big boys in attendance, or during their peak season, I heard the band once shared 35 Million from just 3 shows of recent
@@hafsyhammed3654 Going by what you have just highlighted, what K1 said in his interview and what Ayankunle said in his own interview then one can very well say that Ayankunle was right in his thinking. If the band members shared N35m for three shows that’s roughly N1.25M per member which is a far cry from N370k for 46 shows. This is not conclusive at all by all means however a great deal of clarity would suffice.

This shouldn't be called an interview, it's better called a Monologue. You allowed your guest to speak for more than an hour without any interjection, Fgs..😮You didn't speak to the issue incase you don't know. Also, Why position your 2nd camera in a wrong position? Your camera Man should read more about the Composition/Rule of third.

This is my first time of listening to you speaking in a foreign language it proof to me you are master of not just the music but language wether Yoruba or any. I would have expected you or the anchor to tackle the issues one by one so that we can have balance view.
