It's very interesting to see just how different Shinobu was when she was younger and just how much of her sister's behavior she adopted. She was much more expressive and disgruntled, but in the present she acts so much like her sister that it's shocking she manages to even keep the facade. She smiles all the time, takes the role of the caretaker and always pretends to be kind, but there is so much anger and resentment constantly under the surface that it manages to bubble up even when she tries to keep it together.
Shinobu's manipulation to get the other two going, playing to their base emotions and core identity was just such a simple and entertaining (and smart) way to get them back into training.
Ps the reason why Shinobu "acts" like Kanae is because back when she was alive Kanae said something like she loved Shinobus smile or she should smile more. So now she always smiles

I know it sounds cute, but Shinobu actually wrote names like Fish, Plant and Barracuda. She is smart, just a little airheaded. And Kanao actually picked the one that said Barracuda, but Kanae changed so, she had the name Kanao
They actually dont mention this in the anime but Inosuke Hasibara is hated by just about 90% of the demon slayer core as he basically dulls his blades as soon as he gets them and he ripps the top of all his outfits so both the Blacksmiths and the Uniform division have a burning hate for him, which makes up nearly 90% of the demon slayer core

I always thought of the difference between Fire and Flame breathing as "A flame is always just a small fire. But a fire can be a massive inferno that burns landscapes" so it'd be dishonorable for "mere" Flame Breathing Users to claim the name of someone so superior to them.
This part of the discussion honestly reminded me of Avartar: LOK of when Avartar Wan starts off just starting a literal fire to actually control and manipulate a literal flame thanks to the spirits wilds and animals. That and the fact that in the Avartar universe Firebending is also about controlling your breathing such Combustion-Bending where we have two characters taking settled breathes and start wreaking stuff.
I actually use the coin flip thing all the time to help me figure out what I really want to do, because like you said, if you get a result and you feel disappointment then that kinda shows that you actually wanted the other result. It's kinda weird how in that context your preference becomes more clear than if you're just weighing them equally in your mind.
Okay the reason Inosuke smashed the stone against his sword is because he needs it. His breathing style is based on wild animals. So is like he is tearing the flesh of demons

I feel like despite being murder demon filled its still a kids show so having one of the heroes be so vulgar wouldn't fly as easy in the dub. Even if it woulda been hilarious to hear Bryce say it
VERY important thing about the breathing techniques that most newcomers don’t know: they don’t actually control the elements!! in the world of the show you can’t even see the water tanjiro “uses”. they’re not like the benders in avatar, they’re regular humans with added physical capabilities coming from the total concentration breathing. the different breathing techniques are only about the way they use their swords, their movement styles, kinda like different types of martial arts. the water/thunder/fire etc we see during fights are only visual aids for the viewers.
Your Target theory is interesting and reminds me of a situation with my work. We’re short staffed and behind on work. People call us because they requested something and haven’t gotten it yet. Part of the reason we’re even further behind is because of people calling to bug us. I understand they want to get the ball rolling but they’d get what they want quicker if they weren’t bothering us on the phone. It further makes me think of how people who try to run as fast as possible are beaten in a race by those who pace themselves and run slower.
If you cut through, a samurai sword cuts. If you just thwak it with bad form, the a sword like that chips and cracks. Also Nichirin Sword means Sun Blade, so they are cutting deamons with a sunlight enfused blade to deafeat them. They change colour as a reaction to the sword wielder, like they fill the sword with light.

I also have a tendency to sleep on my stomach with my neck twisted. But I've found a solution that works for me. I keep a pillow next to me at chest level, so when I roll onto my belly, the pillow props me up at an angle, letting me sleep without twisting my head so far.
I would completely recommend listening to the part where Tanjiro is explaining Total Concentration Constant in Japanese. It's hilarious. The "Boom Boom" part gets me every time. Just on your own, not in a reaction. :)

This episode is cool because it does not have much action just training. But I can't wait for you to watch Mugen Train. It is arguably the best arc in the series
The reason you guys haven't seen a demon slayer use their environment with their breathing is because a breathing isnt a physical thing, like the slayers can see the breathings element but they can't actually produce it, like water breathing isn't producing water, if you used a water form to slash something u can see the water but it wouldn't be wet, also the amount of element seen produced by a blade shows the strength of a slayer
the breathing techniques do not produce the element we see and nobody besides us (the viewer) can see it. The water animation, or thunder whatever is only made for us so it looks cooler, but the element is not really there :(
