To be able to outgun Celine Dion at the age of just 18 is quite an achievement and as good as this was, Lucy has and will continue to mature and develop to even dizzier heights. I went back and listened to Dion's remastered original. This is next level Dion was screeching those high belts and not on key Lucy was on key and in full control at al times.

Check out her rendition of "Evergreen". Beautiful voice, her vibrato is a killer (best in world to me), her pitch is perfect (no sailing high or going sour), and the last note in the video goes for 6 bars (perfect pitch then a little vibrato on the end) all in one breath. The first time I saw Lucy was "Memory" (Cats) and at that point i came up with my own description of her voice: "Reach, but no screech". In that piece she has a wide-open full-on belt section but she still has good diction, vibrato, and she is not screeching as some do. In this piece she gets up close to her max but still has her pitch accuracy and no screeching. All the superlatives you can think of have been already used describing Lucy. Plus, on many many of her videos you hear WOW! repeated over and over, including you. I've been in music since 1950 and Lucy is among the top 4 or 5 of all time in my book.
