Baking Vegan With Rainn Wilson! | Baking With Josh & Ange

- Our friend, Rainn Wilson, is vegan so we made a delicious and easy dessert for him.
Vegan Avocado Brownies
Ingredients:
• 1/2 ripe avocado
• 1 cup soymilk (unsweetened)
• 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
• 1/2 cup coconut sugar
• 1 cup sprouted whole grain spelt flour
• 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8 x 8′′ baking dish.
In a blender, combine the avocado, soymilk, maple syrup and coconut sugar. Blend for about 15-20 seconds, until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the spelt flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt then stir together. Pour the wet ingredients in the blender into the bowl with the dry. Add the chocolate chips and stir together until combined. Sprinkle a handful of chocolate chips on top then bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until set. Cool before serving.

The Office has got me through (and is still getting us through) the hardest time in my life. My sister passed away recently. My Husband and I snuggle up on the couch and watch the Office and it has been healing for us.

Until my brother suddenly passed I was having a tough time I couldn't sleep then I started watching the Office on Netflix. I forgot how funny that show was you guys were all amazing in it. Haha yup I’m 14 and I’ve watched the office like three times and pretty much all of my friends watch it as well. Part of me was kind of surprised when I found out that it’s a fairly old show (even though there’s like flip phones and pagers and stuff) just because it’s become so popular recently.

I got nostalgic thanks to rewatching The Office and came to rewatch this. I’m just so happy to see everyone looking so happy. Honestly, what an A+ cast, and I’d give anything to meet anyone from the show.

I have watched The Office all seasons 13 times. I had a rough patch of depression and it helped me so much to get through it and also bring my family together. Wish there would be a spin off.

Speaking of people who use the office to get through things, I have severe anxiety and I have seen every episode about 10 times at least and I continue to watch it because knowing what’s going to happen every time helps me feel secure in times of change or anxiety.
Back when I was younger and The Office was still running, my Dad and I binge-watched it over weekends. It was like, a bonding thing for us. So uh, seeing Rainn and Angela on this made me really happy! I'd love to see other cast members guest on here. :)

My favorite Christmas family recipe is just classic cookies. Every year we go to my Grandmas house and bake tons of cookies and goodies to take to her neighbors and local firefighters. Now that we are older we really understand how special this tradition is and how it brightens her neighbors day. This year we are going to try snowglobe cookies!

Yall. I've only made it to the 2:49 mark, but I have this unshakeable feeling that this is going to be the greatest baking show that's ever been recorded. Dude just said avocado brownies. Vegan, or not, you put some avocado brownies in front of me, I'm gonna tear 'em up. 'Cause I love avocados. And I love brownies. And I'm so, so sad that a homeowner just called me, and now I have to go change some bathroom faucets instead of finishing this video.

Aw, now yall just fishing for compliments. Kidding. It was so awesome that I just watched it again. Sorry I kept yall waiting. I sleep at my Maw-Maw Lillian's (she's gonna be 101 in April) on weeknights; I sleep on the couch and she sleeps in her chair, so I put my phone on silent relatively early. Although, I'm not exactly sure how youtube notifications work. Like, would my phone have even made a noise?
But, I learned a lot, yeah. Like, I'd never heard of spelt flour, or a curmudgeon. In fact, I wasn't sure it was really a word, so I looked it up. That's a good word, Bruh. Also didn't know that smelt was a type of fish. I didn't know about the Haiti thing. I'm sorry yall shirts weren't in, in time. And, Bruh-- I can't speak to what Josh was actually thinking when Rainn said that the blender sucked, but the look on his face was so good. It was just for a split second, but it seemed to say: "You can come in here, fake flirt with my wife all you want, and I'll laugh right along with you. But, now you've insulted my blender and we have a problem." Also, Rainn and I agree about cooking. For instance, when the weather drops below 80, EVERYONE I know makes gumbo. Now, I could spend hours making my own gumbo. Or, I can just eat a sandwich, and wait for everyone to call me the next day, offering me some of their gumbo, because they made too much. And remember, no matter how good a gumbo is, it's ALWAYS better the next day. Something about the flavors marrying in the fridge.
I've often wondered if it gets old for actors, how sometimes, people address you as if you were really your characters. And I think it's sweet that yall said yall still love them, even though some of them sound like some tête dures.
Ive been wondering if the counter tops were granite or quartz. Now, I'm sure (like, 87.2% sure) they're quartz.

I know everyone else wants to see your Xmas decorations, but I just want to see your house. Like the crown moulding and baseboards. And if you have shutters on all the windows (if not, I can get yall a good price, if yall want some more). I'd love to see more of the glass cabinet doors. I really like the idea of them, but I wonder if they're hard to keep clean? And also, someone told me, once, that they can make a space seem cluttered since everything behind them is still visible, and I wonder if yall find that to be the case, or if the person that told me that was just talkin' out their ass. I wonder what kind of doors yall have; paneled, archtop, or just plain old painted luan? What kind of flooring? Sheetrock, celotex, or tongue and groove ceilings? I bet yall have a badass pantry, too. Probably have one of those lights that come on as soon as the door opens, huh? Yall on a slab or piers? What kind of siding do yall have? And finally, if yall could show me the air conditioning plenum, I would love yall forever. And ever. False: my love for yall is not contingent on anything.
Sorry this has turned into an f'n novel. But, I did make yall wait all day and night, so I figured I couldn't just be like, "yeah".

I had not seen a full episode of “The Office” before quarantine happened and when I saw it I think it was in 2006 then I moved but didn’t have cable or TV.
Then I had Netflix later but didn’t get into it because I hadn’t thought of it for years.
During quarantine I began watching it, and I love it! It has helped me get through this hard time, just like Angela mentioned some people have told her how much it has helped them. It has helped me too to blow off steam and just sit back and relax. I was furloughed for many months then was permanently let go.
Everything still be okay though!
The Office absolutely got me through some of the toughest times of my life so far. Thank you both for being a huge light for me❤ This episode was awesome and I can't wait for Jenna to bake with y'all!!!
My favorite holiday recipe is chocolate covered pretzel sticks with cute Christmas sprinkles. It’s so easy, but everyone loves them, and I like doing it with my daughter.

My dad met my mom in Italy and they got married. I was born here in the United States, but have such great memories traveling to Italy to visit family when I was younger. It's been a over a decade now since I last visited. In recent years around the holidays, my mom has once again has started making our special family versions of some Italian classics, like Zuppa Inglese and Tiramisu. Such a special time of the year, when I get away from school and spend quality time with my loved ones.
This is great - thank you for making this 😭❤️ I laughed about 10+ times and now know how to make vegan brownies. Double win

I loved this! Rainn seems like a genuinely awesome person. 😊 I also must admit that my parents and I only started watching “The Office” very recently. It’s currently getting us through a rough summer filled with hospital and doctors visits! (My mom broke her ankle and got a concussion, and I’ve seen doctors for treatment of my periodic debilitating headaches.)
