Nearly 5 mins of them talking about that punch like we, the viewers didnt see it as well or something. It was mad dope, but it somehow lost its hype with them spending so much time on it and not the match🤨
@@glutenfree8348 I understand our opinions on the matter are subjective, but nah fam, this commentary was actually pretty bad. Just watch the Melee doubles grand finals from the same event for a better idea of what good doubles commentary, and commentary in general, sounds like. Stude and DJ Nintendo did a great job.
They quite ironically punched up a falcon punch for filler. This is why Smash commentating makes anyone over 14 mute the videos. I didn’t come for yelling, crowd goading, and jeering can you please analyze the match-up during your summary minutes so we can enjoy the technicality of high-level pros playing too?
Claudio Castro I don’t know how you could assume so much about another’s traits over a TH-cam comment, without questioning your own judgement... Regardless, a “falcon punch” is not the item of this match that should be celebrated. There is nothing wrong with discussing, but when it takes a bulk of a commentators discourse it shows a sad problem with SmashUlt. Judging by *your* response you’re showing that you’re a low-cognition, hypocritical, trend-drone and *you don’t even realize that talking about a falcon punch for 3 minutes is the most boring, low-hanging fruit that they could’ve synthesized from this match.*
Claudio Castro To give you more rationale: Over-sensationalism is a trait of an up and coming subject trying to become attractive enough to draw a more massive following. The problem with that is to fit the ideals of entertainment for people who enjoy that, you sacrifice content... The NBA has done it. Rap Music has done it. *TH-cam has done it* And as you can see there is a drop in quality content produced by the voices of these subjects and subcultures. It’s a disgraceful act that undermines these communities, and as human trait would have it once someone popular does it, the rest of the competition conforms and the subject loses genuine thought behind it which then causes others to credit popularity over talent. That’s part of the reason why the old-guard is resisting “Ultimate”. But is a HUGE reason of why the old fans are in disdain and feel “something just isn’t right about this”. That’s because it’s a sign Smash is selling out, when they have no reason to, and attracting people who don’t think well like you will only hurt them. When Smash is finally gone it will have driven out the true fans, and the new “fans” will never have grown an attachment to it, and will just move on to another game that has hyped-up tournaments, commercial press, and trendy buzz phrases to satisfy their needs. That’s if they don’t change the direction they’re going, or go fully commercial and take over e-gaming. Which will only garner them attention, curiosity, and people who just want to “be in the know”. 🤦🏼♂️
Claudio Castro dude... you realize describing reading as a waste of time doesn’t make you look good, *considering my response was under 500 words and you just used 26 minutes of your life on a smash video...* 🤦🏼♂️ you just proved my point about you. Not to mention, If you think any of those words are “complicated”, it’s no wonder you: 1. Failed to make any progress on your grievances, *or for such a minimalist as you, couldn’t make a point.* 2. Claimed “personal attacks” when you so boldly did it before, AND don’t even see that the “personal attacks” you’re convincing yourself are there, aren’t mere opinions but natural observations that you KEEP providing evidence for lol. Considering you’re complaining about the length of a comment, would you like to debate in brightly colored pictures instead? 3. You literally misspelled and/or mis-structured all the last half of your response, that seems to be confused between defense of ego and baseless uses of words you think that match my intelligence (e.g. “fallacies”) in pure hopes of not looking like you can’t compete. Nice insecurities. Great response.
Claudio Castro Oh, I forgot reading is so against your personality (lol), so I’ll put a summary in bold for you. *You’ve made no points; like a novice you only tried to shallowly critique what you could of mine, the point you tried to make is repetitive, ornate, and I already broke; 7 letters words aren’t “complicated words” unless you’re a simple person.* Saying you aren’t going to “waste time” reading a comment, but still reply to it, forgoing you just watched a 26 minute video about Smash is the most under-thought, ironic crumb of intellect you could’ve possibly gave. Yet you gave it boldly, while thinking the word “fallacy “, that’s learned in 9th grade by most, would make you look smart. And considering you literally just displayed every trait of a typical SmashUlt fan, you still don’t get why SmashUlt fans aren’t respected? Oh, that must be “over-complicated” for you too, because you weren’t even aware enough to recognize it... 🤦🏼♂️
Claudio Castro You don’t catch on to much huh? The “point” you made about melee wasn’t a “point”... It was an assertion, which you must not know about. You spoke of what you stated as if it was fact, which makes you look even more boarish and dull, but had *nothing* to do with my point. Let alone, it doesn’t even encapsulate the cause of melee decreasing in commercial coverage. Melee isn’t being downed because the community is a bunch of toxic Smash-elitists like you’re implying. Melee isn’t being given as much attention because it’s nearly two decades old... *in a gaming society that driven by hype, marketability, and youth, it’s only natural it wouldn’t have as strong a place in gaming once Ultimate came out.* Which goes without saying that melee is still very strong, being almost two decades old, and the clear number 2 to the hype-train of Ultimate. If anything, that speaks to the legend and influence of Melee. Only now becoming a cemented #2 status, after 18 years, just to have dim-witted fanboys like you take that as “dying” without realizing no competitive e-game has ever been this relevant for this long and Ultimate will likely not last over 7 years itself. 🤦🏼♂️ *All of this is fucking common sense.* No one should have to address that for you, especially considering it was irrelevant from the beginning and as a person of “two-language” speaking ability (lol) you should be able to self-correct and see how jaded you are, right? 😂 To emphasize, my problem was with Smash Ultimate commentary, YOU brought melee into it.
