Don't regret moving to Alberta from B.C. It has given me good opportunity to grow and get set up. Now will I stay here is the question, affordability is becoming a concern and certain cities have outrageous property tax rates. But if I were starting from scratch Alberta would 100% be the place I would come. Eastern Canada is looking better in my later years though.

@AllThingsRealEstate Yep. Lower taxes, cheaper acreages, more freedom! We moved from BC 2 years ago.

Hi. We are in Halifax renting. It's simple. Buying in 2025 makes no sense. It is NOT a buyers market and most, if not all places are over valued. It's too bad because INTEREST RATES are coming down but many other factors point to the obvious. Unemployment numbers are up. Canada's GDP is low, we don't make much of anything here in Canada anymore. Rent is way too expensive but still better than buying a home now and making a bad long term decision. It sucks but that is the reality. Better to rent and be able to easily get out of a rental in a year max then a bad mortgage decision. Alberta does look like a possible good place to land...but not yet.

Nope we're full. Thanks to the population surge our roads are a disaster and housing is fucked.

@@breezybre2670 not really. They want city prices. The towns are more expensive now than the city for housing per sq ft

Your timing is perfect, I’ll be uploading a video about Edmonton vs. Calgary just after Christmas. I’ll post the link here once it’s up. 🙂

if you put the stats aside..Alberta is a great place to live. CLEAN, SUNNY, MOUNTAINS and way more relaxed pace, yet places like Calgary have everything you need and some very cool hoods.

And where can the average Joe afford houses without a $3500 mortgage plus taxes, utilities, maintenance/HOA fees??? In northern Saskatchewan, in the middle of nowhere and far away from jobs? Even the Yukon now has ridiculous prices, which seems almost like a satirical comedy... 🤔🙄
