Ive never been into tetris, but i have to say...These players in the tetris community exemplify good sportsmanship. No ego's, just healthy competition and honor. And congrats on getting worlds fastest kill screen just days later, Fractal. Your accomplishment did not go unnoticed.
@@LUNAHT3 FACTS and tbh Fractal is like the pillar of the modern Tetris competitive scene. He has done SO MUCH for the scene. He wants Tetris to grow even more. And he knew that if Blue Scuti beats Tetris, it'd only be better for the game. He loves the Game and its community. I have immense respect for Fractal, and considering he's also the 2nd person to beat tetris and the current Classic Tetris World Champion truly showcase that he's the GOAT that has ever touched the game. BlueScuti is an amazing prodigy and I can see a really bright future in this boy in the future of the competitive scene but the accomplishments and contributions that Fractal has made are amazing and should be praised. Eric, Fractal, Dog, Scuti, Cheez and Andy are seriously so humble. There are other players too who are kind and nice to players. It's shocking how cool the entire scene is. They're not even too old but they're all have a really nice heart and a competitive spirit.
The top players are pretty nice, the actual community is just as toxic as any other one, I told one that he should probably not play 7 hours a day and it’s not healthy and he lashed out and attacked me
Bro seeing this just made me realise just how insane Scuti's accomplishment is; you have to make so *so* many lightning-fast decisions on piece placements while at maximum gravity, and with how long you eventually end up spending in a single run, it really does feel like an agonising test of mental stamina. And I haven't even played NES Tetris or Tetris in general this much!
The little guy technically defeat the unbeatable, by first time, something that was impossible for a human, and it was in honor of his father that pass away, truly honorable and wish the best to the guy (he participate in a tournament with the best of the best and he get to 3rd place, that's show how awesome the kid is)
A lot of the twitch communities are very friendly and supportive while also competitive. I guess it depends on the game and the players. Others can be really nasty to one another to the point of creating fake scandals to get the competition banned.
I like how this video shows all the conflicting emotions Fractal went through specifically during this moment as it happened. The desire to truly be the first and in the back of his mind hoping he tops out. Watching him get through charcoal, which leads him to focus more on the, "Wow. This might actually happen, this is going to be huge!" & willingly cheering him on, but most importantly, Fractal's reaction after the crash. His celebration for Scuti & the achievement is genuine, you can feel he is sincerely happy that the crash had happened, but as it continues you can feel the regret he has for not being able to be the first one. Of course that feeling 100% mellowed out after a while, and he got the earliest possible crash as well as being the 2nd ever to beat Tetris about 2 weeks later, but his feelings on the day must've been such a cluster, a happy frustration of sorts 😂
In a way, I feel like it was the best possible outcome, namely Blue Scuti being the first to crash the game, but at a level higher than it can first happen on, and then Fractal shortly after getting a crash that happened on the first level that can crash. Both players got to make history. Also Fractal was the first player to hit glitched colors, so he already made history. And other Tetris players have played further beyond the crash level than Blue Scuti, and have since obtained even more points, in fact significantly more. The ultimate goal in NES Tetris now is playing past level 255 via complicated Feng Shui of line clear types to the point where the level number rolls over, and then you see how far you can go. It's a test of endurance.
The fact that Fractal goes from wanting him to top out to rooting for him is so great. Love that he wanted Scuti to do for the final 5 mins. Respect!!! I can't believe people play this game at this level!
In this case, he was rooting for him to crash the game, which is what they were both grinding for. By him saying he wanted Scuti to crash, he was cheering him on.
It's Amazing that Scuti got it first. Fractal achieved kill screen 13 days later with lower lines and the best possible screen. Not even a full week after there is already a 3rd person to hit the "kill screen".

I like this more realistic, more human reaction over the idealized mini clip in other videos. Of course he cares and of course it hurts to miss it, but he's struggling against his instincts to try to be a good sport. That's better than the "oh he's purely happy for Scuti with no negative feelings, the tetris community is angelic" fake idealization I've seen some people say. The struggle against the real negative feelings gets all my respect.
For sure makes it all the more admirable. It is easy to cheer someone on and congratulate them when you are indifferent but very difficult when have such a high level of investment in the outcome. That is something we can all aspire to.
That's just freaking insane skills there. It looks almost like a computer is playing but you see every few moments that he make a mistake and misses, but he recovers! This guy is incredibly amazing at the game. I play Tetris quite well so I understand some of the strategies employed on the video, but the level of skill and timing is just insane and too fast for me. Love the editing to combine the two streams. I've watched the blue scuti stream so many times -- love see the end after the "please crash" remark. Just an amazing accomplishment! ? These guys also have lives
@@butanerain420not really, they go to school then immediately go home and play Tetris until bed, no physical or social activities
@@ChickenJoe-tq6xd fractal is a student at MIT, plays the cello, and plans to double major in math and music technology. blue scuti is only 13, goes bowling, cycling, and plans to use his earnings to pay for college
@@butanerain420 okay? But they both play over 5+ hours of tetris a day, doctors recommend 30-90 minutes of gaming every day, it’s just not healthy no matter what way you put it, it has nothing to do with what they achieved or what record either, scuti looks pale and frail, right after he got the record he said he couldn’t feel his hands and was about to pass out, it’s not healthy and they need to get more physical activity, cycling or playing bowling once a month doesn’t count
@@ChickenJoe-tq6xd You're assuming they do those physical activities once a month? People can live healthy lives and play more than 3 hrs of video games per day, its not that uncommon to hear or see. Fractal doesnt even play that long everyday lmao and scutis taking advantage of his time by playing tetris and earning money at a young age. Seems like they're pretty successful
Lol NOW what? What absolute waste of time.
Jealous much 😁 it's okay mommy can read you a bed time book bucko
why’s the redneck in the Tetris comment section
GODBLESS.
