Gaz brings up an important point when he said if I could afford this. Prices of these clubs have gotten to the point where a huge group of golfers can’t afford to upgrade. I fully understand the cost of R&D and marketing but over $500 for one new club is tough for most people.
i last bought a golf club in 2013, a nike covert 2.0 tour driver. $199.99 cdn as it was the year previous driver. i stopped playing golf and last year got back in, went to the store and drivers and irons have literally doubled in price. luckily, sure the tech has changed but the perfomance gains is no negligable.
@@justinweil1279 What I can't understand is that the manufacturer spends so much time designing the Club head and sticks an unaligned shaft in it which makes it inconsistant to hit. Spine alignment is real.
@@AussiePeter I was able hit the rogue an average of 30 yards further than the stealth when I got fitted. The stealth seems to be more of a hype driver and I def think everyone should always get fitted and see what they hit best. The stealth looks fantastic but I was hitting it pretty much the exact same distance as my old cobra lv5 from 2008….
Everything I'm seeing and hearing about the Rogue, is making me lean towards that over the Stealth. It can't come out soon enough because I'm desperate to try it out.
I've hit both several times at work, and concentious of all opinions is Rogue St Max. Straighter and further then Stealth, 20 to 30 yds on every shot, TM marketing aside go with the Callaway
nice one Gaz, although I haven't seen them in the flesh for me the Callaway looks classy where as the TM looks a bit plastic, also what would put me off despite hours of testing the TM is still unproven technology, It will be interesting to see how it stands up to the knocks and bangs of the average user over a couple of seasons.
I am also a fan of jail break like Gaz said and i game the GBB Epic sub-zero. I have tested many drivers and until the face cracks or the carbon top comes off(happened to a friends regular epic) i see no real gains. Long time subscriber from very cold and snowy British Columbia ,Canada. Cheers
I’ve just left my TSI 3 behind for the Rogue ST Max.. Couldn’t be happier! Seriously that Callaway is hands down the easiest driver I’ve ever hit, and it’s plenty long. #fairwayfindrrrr
Only way to know is to try them out yourself but in general the Max LS should go slightly farther with less spin but will be slightly less forgiving and more fade biased while the ST Max is more forgiving, not quite as long, and slightly draw biased.
You guys are a riot. If I were closer and didn't really suck at golf and had lotsa money I'd jump the pond, on a nice day, and play 18. Gaz is a rocker! Enjoy!
I bought a Taylor Made MI6 last year and absolutely love it. Like Gaz and James I am not looking to change, but would love to try both of thes new drivers.
Gaz I'd be really curious to see the durability and longevity of the CF face on those Stealth drivers. Also, I'd always take 10-20 yards less if it meant hitting significantly more fairways
Great video guys Nice to see the callaways forgiveness in this test against the stealth for me as a 14 handicap rude not to go callaway max, and also a fine thing to point out will the red colour on the face of stealth fade after few thousand balls ??
I had the Stealth for a while and really wanted to love it! Enjoyed the sound and feel but ended up swapping for the Rogue due to its better spin and dispersion characteristics. The shape is more confidence inspiring and it sounds amazing!
I would suggest that if you guys can name each drivers brand and distance specifically and separately. I need a driver as I have a TaylorMade Burner 9.5 and I read where the new drivers really a distance. Can you please let me know for a slower swing speed of under 109 Mi an hour whether the stealth or the Rogue or the TSI will be best for me? Thank you for your help
I tried the Stealth last weekend vs my current Taylor Made SIM driver, the Stealth was 13 yards shorter. Was not impressed at all. Was excited to try it given the hype, and left extremely disappointed. Taylor Made usually has great products, but since that Private Equity Firm purchased them, Taylor Made is in trouble.
I got fitted last week. The final,2 drivers were the TSi3 and the Stealth Plus. Both were brilliant. In the end I said to the pro,”I’ll take the one with the best dispersion and consistent distance.” It was close but Stealth won.
New Rogue ST Max is the best driver I’ve hit in a long time….switched from a Tsi3. So forgiving and it doesn’t spin as much as you think. No need fir the LS unless your ball speed is 160 plus.
NIce Video. I would say that both distance and accuracy are important to me and all other golfers, but I favor a little more accuracy. As a senior golfer I must admit that I do appreciate a little more distance too.
Top notch video and it certainly highlights the importance of getting fitted, get fitted and come away with the one that works not the one you really wanted
Affordability is the key question not all golfers can afford a new driver every year and why would you if the driver you have got is working for you 🤔 well done James and gaz
I'm a fairly new player (3 years) and 62 years old, club head speed around 105. First, I apparently don't get near the distance possible with my club speed due to a whole lot of flaws that will take time to correct - if I live long enough. Second, just like with running shoes, I've realized you don't pick a driver based on other people's reviews or brand allegiance. Decided it was time to get professionally fitted for a driver and retire my $40 ebay special. Tested many shots with Rogue, Stealth, Ping, Cobra and one other, and for my swing mechanics the rogue gave me the best distance and accuracy. The stealth was at the bottom of the rankings. Interestingly, my ebay club was in the middle of the pack, perhaps only because I'm so used to swinging it.
I'm not in the market for a new driver, honest (just in case my wife reads this), but if I was the Rogue ST MAX would be the top of my list, with better looks, better sound and better dispersion👍👍
Given the USGA & R&A’s limits on the trampoline effect on the club face and golf ball distance, the club manufacturers reached those technological standards years ago.
“GAZ” the one club I have not updated is the driver as swing is not good enough, halfway through course of lessons so hope to put that right. Using tracking data via shotscope V3 so I will have that to see if trackman or similar with a driver fitting offers a better club than I have now. Re the red face on the Stealth, red was often the colour insert on old wooden woods, as my WIlson persimmon woods have a red on the insert
So what matters more . The reaction to what you holding on first tee or where you take 2nd shot from .... age old question . Magpies for stealth, players choose rogue
Tried these to drivers earlier along with the cobra ltdx. The Callaway Rogue definitely outperformed both, not only consistently but even when I did crush the ball with the stealth and ltdx they didn't go as far as the rogue
Remember the laminated Ping Eye driver with the red insert. Now there was a good driver. Costs of drivers now berserk, with a new model that goes the same distance as the last model being released every 6 months.
Gaz brings up an important point when he said if I could afford this. Prices of these clubs have gotten to the point where a huge group of golfers can’t afford to upgrade. I fully understand the cost of R&D and marketing but over $500 for one new club is tough for most people.
Yeah. It's kinda funny. Buy a 700 dollar driver and 3k worth of irons to go golf with. But then you can't afford to play golf with them. 😂
100%

Love your friendly banter with your mates!! That's what makes you part of my morning routine!! Great hit "Gaz"
I tried them both at a club fitting recently. I am a 18 handicap 90 mph swing speed and had much better numbers with the Rouge. Great video guys.
Interesting I’m about the same speed and handicap. Hit the stealth but not the rouge yet

Tried both in a fitting today and I actually got fitted for the rogue st loved it
Love the banter and information. It’s great to have a job that’s so much fun
Gaz, I'm playing the M3. Would love to try a newer driver!
Gaz & James just love the banter between you guys
The Rogue seems to be the more consistent driver of the two, but I would love to try both of them.

Wish I had a friend like you here in Canada and would love that Tsi3 or the new rogue but happy to see Gaz keep the driver, cheers!
Fresh cup of coffee. Ready for a morning conversation with James and “GAZ”.
As said cost vs gains will be a huge factor in opening my wallet up for this years offerings! Great video you two!
always want to try some new driver

Love the comparison videos GAZ
GAZ! Always a great video when you two get together. Top shelf!
Just need to see a comparison between the Rogue LS and that ST max now to figure out which one I would like to go with.
Only way to know is to try them out yourself but in general the Max LS should go slightly farther with less spin but will be slightly less forgiving and more fade biased while the ST Max is more forgiving, not quite as long, and slightly draw biased.
Gaz and James, another great video. Looking forward to more.

Gaz' loved the look on his face when you said your giving it away 😂🤣
GAZ. I’d love a ‘ new ‘ driver. Be good for the bag when I’m back In March from my knee replacement ⛳️👍🏻
The stealth looks like the eye of sauron! So cool
Agreed it looks better. Just hoping it performs better during my fitting as well otherwise no way I’m spending the money
I think I will stay with my original Rogue, great content as always James and GAZ
Just purchased the ping G425 max and installed sensors on all my clubs… game changer!!!
Gaz, so happy to see Gaz back on the channel 😁
Thanks 😊

Gaz
I'd be really curious to see the durability and longevity of the CF face on those Stealth drivers. Also, I'd always take 10-20 yards less if it meant hitting significantly more fairways
Exactly what’s the point hitting it 300 yards into a farmers field
dispersion is much better with the rogue, as seen in many tests here on youtube
Never played a titlest driver. Have the 2021 t200 and love them.
Gaz! Nice video. Informative, casual and not long winded.
Great video guys
Nice to see the callaways forgiveness in this test against the stealth for me as a 14 handicap rude not to go callaway max, and also a fine thing to point out will the red colour on the face of stealth fade after few thousand balls ??
I'm sure TM has hit a lot more than a few thousand rounds in testing. I bet with the coating on the face, it should hold up fine.
GAZ, I watched this before my morning coffee 😳. Love the content.

James and Gaz- The Stealth is Very intriguing. Need to go try it out.
Even in the video, the Stealth looks very red- interested in seeing it in person! Great video!
Great stuff you two. Nice drivers. Gary definitely wasn’t gonna lose was he?? lol
Here we go again! might have to pry it our of GAZ's hands this time. great video

Love how you ended the video quickly after Gaz said about getting to 1m. 😂😂 another great vlog. Keep them coming please.
Thanks for your time buddy

Love the vid... his reaction was quite muted... im surprised I would have been like a kid at Xmas lol
Since Callaway has since released Paradym and Paradym AI, the Rogue series are now priced great. I have the LS, and love it.
I love that you said Best Selling and not just best.
