- hey bbs! today i fanging out and showing how i deal with the awful hair fiber that is polly hair. i’ve been getting so many questions on how i deal with it, so i thought i’d be fun to chat with y’all!! the video is just a basic doll straight iron tutorial without styling. i’m later going to go back and give her curls though :))

What scares me was learning that it degenerates over time
I don't want to have to reroot all my dolls in like 5 or 10 years
If it makes you feel better bratzillaz dolls used poly and they seem to hold up alright. I have a second hand Victoria Antique and she's fine. If they're well looked after the hair should be alright. Second hand bratzillaz that have been played with have horrible hair and it's unfixable
I just put her hair in micro braids… took forever but looks adorable considering the conditions her hair was in :(

definitely gonna try this, clawdeen is my fav monster high character of all time but I've never owned one of the dolls. i got hers and the hair is just dreadful 😭😭

Thank you for this video, I've been a fan of MH for years and for them to use poly hair on dolls that are so expensive is insane, hopefully one day they'll listen to the fans. At this point I don't want to take any of them out of the box so I don't have to deal with it lol

Giving her a boil wash and a wash and a slight trim in the hair tips will definetly help. This is what I did and she looks 100% better
I have G3 Clawdeen and Lagoona, I was told that Lagoona has nylon or saran hair but I can't really tell the difference between her and Clawdeen's hair tbh. Finger combing Clawdeen's hair did bring out the dreaded dry poofs or mattes but it wasn't as bad as Lagoona's...I had to wash and restyle her hair because it was a disaster and even after boil washing it's still not the best...I feel like Lagoona has always had that hair type though. I will probably braid Clawdeen's.
lagoona does use saran ! it is awful box hair, but after a boil and normal wash she should be all good to go!
@@plastic_heartzz my lagoona's hair was horrible I took her hair out of the ponytail and washed then brushed it then cut of the dry ends and she is beautiful and her hair is nice

I honestly think monster high or Mattel should rlly listen to our pleas for help and stop using Poly on doll hair, it’s just so messy and if any kid plays with it within 20 mins the hair is a rats nest beyond repair 😭
This is literally second day of me owning that same exact doll and I’m getting piss styling her hair but clawdeen have been my favourite ever since I watched the cartoon and once I owned her I decided to just put her on my desk till today I find her hair very messy😭

How do you recognize what hair fiber it is?
polly feels very dry and usually is very thick. the ends of the hair also feel fried!

I need to fix my niece's monster high Dolls and I don't have a hair straightener and I'm not allowed to use the straightener on dolls. So what else can I do to fix My nieces Dolls

that’s what polypropylene is!
The only difference being that polypropylene is non-porous/hydrophobic while nylon is porous.
