We all will agree that he gives absolutely everything, but "everything" really refers his becoming one with the song. The audience becomes secondary. Dimash is fully aware of his vocal abilities but more importantly, he knows when and how to each of the skills he has acquired over his years of singing. As it is for Dimash, so it should be for artist - to pay intensive attention to detail and then FOLLOW THROUGH! There's absolutely no point in knowing how could use something at the time you need it but don't. Such a lovely, spirited reaction. I love it.

The first version was the first time the World saw Dimash, and we had a young guy from Kazakhstan, singing in French to a Chinese audience, and.. he had them in tears.

You heard notes that would be in whistle register for most vocalists but this is not Dimash's whistle register. Considering his top whistle note so far is a D8 which is one key off of the piano keyboard his whistle register begins much higher than most, if not all, other vocalists.

Welcome new Dear ❤😊 Thank you for that reaction! You could try to react to a compilation of the different notes in his range. His whistle notes start way higher than D6 (That is his top mixed note I believe - We‘ve only heard it once 😅) His head voice goes up to around F#6 (maybe higher - this info might be outdated - not sure) In any case… he whistled a couple of notes that are higher - up to D8 😊
No whistle coordination was used in any part of this performance. Dimash doesn't need to flip into whistle until about F#6. When he does go into whistle, he can extend it all the way up to D8.
Dimash is the best singer I have ever heard. I read somewhere he is one of the tallest male singers 6"3" He can sing in 14 languages and plays 7 instruments. A gift from GOD.
He's just so perfect, it's like a god singing. Btw, I think it's perfectly okay to back up 5 seconds on his pauses. You can repeat any segment and we seem to always love it. It's because you can't believe it even if you've seen it a hundred times. I'm sure I'm close to that. Thanks for the great reaction and your love for music shows immensely.

10:00 i dont think that D6 was in whistle register, as you will soon find you his whistle ends.... 2 full octaves above that :) and he is able to reach even F6
Yes, Dimash goes into whistle only beyond F6. Whistle tone does not depend on the frequency but on the mechanism by which the tone is produced. Dimash sings full voice with vibrato up to F6. Other singers have to go into whistle earlier of course.
@danielmarkiewicz8489 Hey thanks for your feedback. I could be wrong, but I've been training and studying the voice for over a decade now. Whistle register can start around C6 or a little lower for the male voice. Not just going by the note, it sounded like he touched on that thin whistle coordination for a sec there at the top. Though I can say, I'm not always right and I am still learning Dimash's voice. I definitely don't claim to be an expert on his voice specifically. I'm still getting to know the nuances of how he navigates his range. You make a great point about his range extending even higher - it's incredible he can reach those notes so far above! I'm always in awe of vocalists with that kind of upper extension. I really appreciate you sharing your insights! It's helpful to get other informed perspectives and discuss them. I'm always eager to keep learning about vocal technique, so thank you for weighing in! 😀

He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audience to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can. Please react to Olimpico or also Ogni Pietra from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. The best thing about Dimash...He is as humble as he is talented. 😊He won't talk about his range, he just wants to be on stage and entertain people. From what we've seen publically, his lowest growl is G0 and the highest whistle is D8. He is a Global Ambassador for Project C.U.R.E., one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the world that delivers medical supplies and equipment to developing countries. He's always visiting hospitals, schools, and senior homes. The flowers he gets go to senior homes and hospitals. He's always contributing to charities. During the covid lockdown, he tried to secretly donate 5 tons food, he was found out. I find it weird for someone to have so much talent and be so grounded. He has no ego and doesn't brag about anything.

You should see him live in concert. The best thing you will ever do. Worth the travel. Worth the money. Be sure to check out the videos called the Ultimate Guide to Dimash. I think that “male whistle register starts at C6” thing is more a general rule. To me that was still his head voice. You will hear very clearly him use his real whistle register in many songs. 😂 Like Diva Dance, Unforgettable Day, Across Endless Dimensions & many others. In this song at the end, for me, was still his head voice.

You definitely know vocals better than me but I know his vocals better than you at this moment (I’m jealous of your newness, is Dears often wish we could go back to when we heard his songs for the 1st time). Your Love is a more contemporary song with a fun whistle section, Across Endless Dimensions is a soundtrack song for an Italian sci-fi movie & the music video is cool, & he sounds like an electric guitar at one time. Unforgettable Day.., there are a few versions we love. He wrote this song as a teen, it’s in his native Kazakh. The most requested is the Gakku version because he kind of broke records there. I absolutely love his Singer competition performance from 2017 & his performance from the same Digital Show as this SOS you just watched- masterful (I love seeing an artist do the same song and make different choices). But the Gakku version is in front of his people in Kazakhstan & it’s a very relaxed Dimash. Not technically maybe as tight as the other 2 versions, but really connected to the audience & at one point he missed the high note he normally hits, and instead corrects with the highest note ever sung live in concert. At least by a male.. it’s definitely whistle 😅 except he actually does a glissando(?) AND has vibrato in it!! Be warned it’s for the dolphins and whales…. you really have no idea… after a dozen of his songs you still will be surprised and learning a new nuance to his unmatched talent & artistry. You heard notes that would be in whistle register for most vocalists but this is not Dimash's whistle register. Considering his top whistle note so far is a D8 which is one key off of the piano keyboard his whistle register begins much higher than most, if not all, other vocalists.

His whistle notes start way higher than D6 (That is his top mixed note I believe - We‘ve only heard it once 😅)
His head voice goes up to around F#6 (maybe higher - this info might be outdated - not sure)
In any case… he whistled a couple of notes that are higher - up to D8 😊

No whistle coordination was used in any part of this performance. Dimash doesn't need to flip into whistle until about F#6. When he does go into whistle, he can extend it all the way up to D8.
Dimash is the best singer I have ever heard. I read somewhere he is one of the tallest male singers 6"3" He can sing in 14 languages and plays 7 instruments. A gift from GOD.

10:00 i dont think that D6 was in whistle register, as you will soon find you his whistle ends.... 2 full octaves above that :) and he is able to reach even F6
Yes, Dimash goes into whistle only beyond F6. Whistle tone does not depend on the frequency but on the mechanism by which the tone is produced. Dimash sings full voice with vibrato up to F6. Other singers have to go into whistle earlier of course.
@danielmarkiewicz8489 Hey thanks for your feedback. I could be wrong, but I've been training and studying the voice for over a decade now. Whistle register can start around C6 or a little lower for the male voice. Not just going by the note, it sounded like he touched on that thin whistle coordination for a sec there at the top. Though I can say, I'm not always right and I am still learning Dimash's voice. I definitely don't claim to be an expert on his voice specifically. I'm still getting to know the nuances of how he navigates his range. You make a great point about his range extending even higher - it's incredible he can reach those notes so far above! I'm always in awe of vocalists with that kind of upper extension.

He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audience to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

On a campus ! Studios, concert stage, buildings for sound, lighting and stage design, state of the art facilities for video, film and media filming and production, Creative Center, warehouses for building and storage and merchandise and product sales and distribution, office buildings, PR and marketing. Evidently he's the only artist on the planet who personally produces his entire career in house down to ticket sales and garners a lot of attention doing so. Known in the industry as "a business genius, a tough negotiator, runs a tight ship, always prepared, doesn't waste time, swift decision maker, sets a high bar for himself and everyone, expects excellence, kind, fair and always a gentleman " I took that out of an article. My sister and several friends went to uni with him. American, we grew up in Kazakhstan, our Dad in the oil industry there. Now SHE'S got the stories ! Hilarious. 🤣 As a matter of fact, so is his Mother ! She's the "live wire" in the bunch and both feet on the ground my parents say. She "rules the roost" and her family adores her according to my Mom who adores her too.

The best thing about Dimash...He is as humble as he is talented. 😊He won't talk about his range, he just wants to be on stage and entertain people. From what we've seen publically, his lowest growl is G0 and the highest whistle is D8.
He is a Global Ambassador for Project C.U.R.E., one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the world that delivers medical supplies and equipment to developing countries. He's always visiting hospitals, schools, and senior homes. The flowers he gets go to senior homes and hospitals. He's always contributing to charities. During the covid lockdown, he tried to secretly donate 5 tons food, he was found out.
I find it weird for someone to have so much talent and be so grounded. He has no ego and doesn't brag about anything.

Dimash is that rare diamond! A prodigy! A genuine genius! Not only does he have God given talent, he has the extensive vocal music schooling and training.
Yes he is a singer, but he’s more than that! His impressive knowledge of how he utilizes his vocal apparatus, full body anatomy, diaphragm breathing with tight impeccable control, knowledge of upper and lower palettes how to open his embouchure to create the sound that he desires is mind boggling! He is a vocal instrument! He is so effortlessly able in using his vocal range, dynamics, projection, articulation and mastering such amazing control and stamina to be able to know and choose the musical style and genre he wants in creating such colour and texture; like his voice was a paintbrush creating a masterpiece. He is a master. Even in Stranger using cultural vocal utterances and yodelling methods and creating a fusion of magestic elegance in his art , his masterpiece, his song!

I think that “male whistle register starts at C6” thing is more a general rule. To me that was still his head voice. You will hear very clearly him use his real whistle register in many songs. 😂 Like Diva Dance, Unforgettable Day, Across Endless Dimensions & many others. In this song at the end, for me, was still his head voice.

You definitely know vocals better than me but I know his vocals better than you at this moment (I’m jealous of your newness, is Dears often wish we could go back to when we heard his songs for the 1st time). Your Love is a more contemporary song with a fun whistle section, Across Endless Dimensions is a soundtrack song for an Italian sci-fi movie & the music video is cool, & he sounds like an electric guitar at one time. Unforgettable Day.., there are a few versions we love. He wrote this song as a teen, it’s in his native Kazakh. The most requested is the Gakku version because he kind of broke records there. I absolutely love his Singer competition performance from 2017 & his performance from the same Digital Show as this SOS you just watched- masterful (I love seeing an artist do the same song and make different choices). But the Gakku version is in front of his people in Kazakhstan & it’s a very relaxed Dimash. Not technically maybe as tight as the other 2 versions, but really connected to the audience & at one point he missed the high note he normally hits, and instead corrects with the highest note ever sung live in concert. At least by a male.. it’s definitely whistle 😅 except he actually does a glissando(?) AND has vibrato in it!! Be warned it’s for the dolphins and whales….
