Suitable for portable game consoles. Keep getting better Don't forget that it's portable and can connect to your TV. No other company has done that except Nintendo, and we're waiting for the Nintendo 2 to come. The graphics will definitely be better. For me this is very good. For a game machine that's been out for 7-8 years now, it's still amazing❤️🔥

Honestly I feel like this port could have actually been really stellar and on par with the other releases but the porting studio simply wasn’t able to figure out how exactly to do it. I think it would have been cool if they hired Panic Button to port the game to the Nintendo switch since they have a really great history of porting large games like DOOM, Rocket League, and Wolfenstein to the switch. Yeah Saber Interactive also ported Witcher 3 and the Crysis trilogy to switch which are really damn good ports. But Panic Button overall would have been the better studio to hire for the job. No hate towards Shiver and Saber Interactive, they did what they could do and it’s a miracle that this game is even able to run on the Nintendo Switch but I do think that Panic Button would’ve had a better understanding of what needed to be done to make this port at least somewhat on the same level as the PS5 and Xbox versions
Panic Button is the best studio making ports ever!
In my opinioni PB have been great for the two Doom ports. Expecially Doom Eternal I think is a monumental work given the complexity of the game.
But in other ports they tended to aim for a very low resolution and a quite bad image quality.
The Rocket League port was quite terribile... Then one software engineer in Psyonix figured out how to rework the engine to suite the Switch better and was able to reach higher resolution (between 900p and 1080p in TV and basically a native 720p in handheld).
We have to consider that Shiver had to make MK11 and this game running at 60fps. It's not an Easy task.
@@MrMorotep Yeah. I definitely can tell that Panic Button has a bit of a more “visual over Preformance” type of mindset for the most part, with trying to keep games looking on par with their PlayStation and Xbox releases but running at typically just 30fps. So MK1 likely wouldn’t align well with their mindset on how to do a port for a big game. But I still would want to see how they’d be able to handle this
I get crossplay not happening, but cross progression should be available regardless of hardware limitations. It's already bad enough that being online is required to play invasions mode.
Very true. It makes no sense that they haven't yet allowed cross progression.

Dark Raiden's skin has been fixed, his facial expressions are finally there. (Except for his golden and silver skins for some odd reason.)
Fun fact: Shiver Entertainment, who did Switch ports for Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1. Got acquired by Nintendo in May, and is wholly owned by them as their 1st party subsidiary.
So does that mean they could possibly make the game look better

I recently picked up MK1 on my ROG Ally when it went on sale, I started on the switch, and will forever keep coming back to the switch version to check in on it every now and again. Thank you SwitchPlayed for always keeping me updated on the switch version, and giving me good MK1 gameplay in general.

I had such big hopes for this patch seeing as though its the end of kombat pack 1, but i was heavily disappointed. The graphics didn't seem to have changed, like at all. From some angles it even looks worse. But with all that aside, good video 💕
Don't forget that it's portable. And the age of game machines is already very long. If you want to play well and beautifully, play on PC or Xbox and PS 5. You notice the PS protar has an upgraded LCD screen on the front and it works well. I can't imagine how much better the Nintendo 2 would have been❤️🔥
@high-fr4zp I unfortunately only have the switch and the xbox one. The xbox one doesn't support mk1 and switch just has bad graphics. I don't think it's worth buying an entirely different console for just one game, so I'll stick to the switch. And yes, I do know that the switch isn't really going to get any better than this as it isn't mainly for games like mortal kombat. I think it's just best for me to accept the graphics the way they are. And yeah, the nintendo 2 definitely would've worked better with this game. thanks for the reply ❤️

I don’t know how but this patch BROKE more than is fixed, how the hell does that even happen!??? Sub-zero’s spear and skull moves are broken and invisible, Ood Smoke and Deadly alliance shang lost their cloth flaps, and playing invasions riht now more and more graphic bugs are happening, how is this getting worse 😭
Yeah that clipping issue the MK95 Sub Zero skin has is what UMK3 Scorpion has haha.
Also for some reason Deadly Alliance Shang now lost his lower cloth, bro is using baggy pants now haha, very weird bugs accumulating....
The flesh Pits was available in the last season for Reptile.

I'm surprised this evenafe it to switch, like mentioned it's 2 generations behind. I get it's selling well but Nintendo needs to get with the times. My biggest wonder is if I get it on steam or a modern console would I have to start all over again and buy all the dlc all over again

This is the problem with "great graphics". They require a LOOOOONG development time, cost a LOT of money and force players to buy extremely expensive consoles, extremely expensive TV sets, etc., and WORST OF ALL is the fact that they don't necessarily make for great games in the end. Forspoken has four times the graphical quality of Tears of the Kingdom, and yet TotK is A THOUSAND times better. Starfield has been heavily critized by flaws that an INDIE game like No Man's Sky doesn't have. No Man's Sky is SUPERIOR to Starfield, and yet Starfield cost 20 times the amount of money and time to make. What happened then? Well, Bethesda was 100% focused on the graphics, and forgot that games are to be PLAYED and enjoyed as INTERACTIVE experiences, while Hello Games understands what FUN is about, and balances great fun with gorgeous graphics too (without putting an absurd amount of effort and resources into the latter). Assassin's Creed Valhalla has beautiful graphics, but it's an absolute CHORE to play, according to the majority of the people who have tried it, while Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a third of the graphical fidelity but is A HUNDRED times more fun, engaging and interesting (and, honestly, still looks gorgeous on the Switch OLED, so the extra graphical fidelity of AC Valhalla is completely unnecessary).
Now, talking about fighting games specifically, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Smash Bros. Ultimate, Guilty Gear and Street Fighter 3rd Strike, among others, are all MUCH MORE beloved by the FGC than MK1, with all its realistic, beautiful graphics, could ever dream to become. The other very important difference is that games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear happen to LOOK GREAT AAAAND work almost flawlessly on every platform, including the Switch. Having just the right amount of graphical fidelity (and not an EXCESSIVE amount) benefits both the developers and the audience.
You don't need the power of a supercomputer and a graphical fidelity that surpasses reality itself for a game to look gorgeous. Nobody can say that Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Luigi's Mansion 3, Metroid Dread, Metroid Prime Remastered, Dark Souls Remastered, Resident Evil 5, Grid Autosport, Bulletstorm Duke of Switch or Hollow Knight (and others) don't look absolutely gorgeous on the Switch's OLED screen. They DO look AND RUN amazingly, and, crucially, didn't take a decade and several billion dollars to develop. Do you see now how these highly demanding graphics á la PS5 are pretty much screwing up the entire industry? They don't really add much in the end, and they cost A LOT of money, are a lot riskier to produce, and thus force companies to create formulaic games with no innovation, just to try to guarantee the return of their investment. Honestly, imo, Mortal Kombat 1 could have had the same graphical level as something like Dark Souls Remastered or Batman Arkham Asylum, and it wouldn't have lost any of its appeal, AND would have taken a lot LESS development time, and would have been launched in a much less buggy state from the start (oh, and its filesize would be MUCH SMALLER). The way I see it, PS5-level graphics are TOO MUCH. They are simply unnecessary and excessive.
I like MK1 on my Switch, I really do (heck, I've put 100+ hours into it already), but I ended up archiving it to make some space for other games (mainly because I got bored of the absurdly heavy grinding I was subjected to by the game), and now it's very hard for me to redownload it, when I have other fighting games in my collection and these other games run much better, look much better, are as fun, or even MORE fun, than MK1 (because MK1's modern-gaming design seeks to make players grind eternally for cosmetic stuff, or pay real money for it), and occupy WAY LESS memory on my SD card, thus leaving a lot more space for other games. I mean, as of now, No Man's Sky takes up like HALF (or even less than half) the memory space as MK1, and No Man's Sky is a LOT more fun and entertaining, and, honestly, LOOKS much better. It's absurd, really.
No wonder a mass migration to retro games has been happening in the gaming community as of late. Modern-day developers (excluding Nintendo and Capcom) have forgotten what fun and entertainment are about. Wanna know what's sad? There are people who have played OLD SCHOOL SHMUPS for thousands of hours. Now tell me who has put thousands of hours into ANY of these modern superproductions? They are gorgeous to look at, but grindy as fuck and extremely BORING to play.

@@switchplayed5412 Last night I was testing it and I noticed that it was slow in practice mode when you were going to enter the fight and in online mode perhaps it was because it had not been updated properly but I tried it this morning and I see that it no longer happens perhaps it was because there was not I restarted the console, sometimes it happens but sorry, I took back what I said, rather they fixed the introduction to combat in casual mode, it no longer has any problems.

In Kombat Kast and the patch notes it says that deadly vapors or whatever that move is called allows Sub-Zero to do a combo without spending a bar, but I've tried it for a while and it still doesn't seem like that

??? What do you mean? This game handles it's own save data backup. It doesn't need the Nintendo Online Membership to be able to do it. My old Switch broke a few months ago and I didn't have to re-download any save data for MK1. I did have to for other games though.

well... yeah, it's a handheld from 2017 with hardware from 2015. Can't expect it to keep up with modern PC hardware.
