You're getting quick to the point (not only due to the fact you're talking as fast as a certain blue hedgehog) while it is still possible to follow your instructions. At least I could follow you no problem even though English isn't my first language.
Plus, I've been doing life skill in BD for a while now and there was still a few new information for me in this video that I might've needed earlier, but that's on me I guess :)

Great info I stumbled across here, I play on x box 1, just started the game, I like it, now i'm doing the research for all the complex and simple things that are not covered in game, like hot keying a gathering tool, so you don't have to dig thru inventory,..etc.. are there any newer up to date loot drop taples? When Im gathering Im getting 5x to 10x less loot than what is suggested by the table you linked in the description.

yo, love your BDO vids, thx. in this one you blew thru the explanation of levels so fast it was hard to follow. there's too many different categories for a newb to keep track of to go that fast. ie: i'm Gathering Mastery 30, Beginner 6, yet my individual levels for the various skills, Fishing, Hunting, etc ara all level 1. what "level 5" are you talking about regarding the "magic" tools?

Don't know if you mentioned it but if you don't want or can't invest into a tool you can get one temporarily for 50CP from Northern Wheat Plantation. +30% Gathering Item Drop Rate, +200 Mastery, Gathering Time -11s and +10% Gathering XP.
You explain these stuff really simple but wish the videos had episode numbers so I could watch them in order. I've never played an MMO before so this is really hard to follow.

Yes, I'm going through all the life skills, so I've got fishing, gathering and alchemy done. Idk what I'm going to do next, but I'll add hunting to the list. It would make sense since a large portion of it is gathering as well.

@@EvilDoUsHarm Quick question: if I am hunting and then butchering the meat, do the bonus from the mastery level of Hunting and the bonus from the mastery level of Gathering add together (or even multiply)? So I should go for high mastery in both for max meat output? Thanks!
I'd like to make a few corrections:
- Your profit is not only dictated by other lifeskills like cooking, alchemy and processing. For example the main profit from lumbering comes from caphras stones, so how profitable it is nearly exclusively relies on that.
- Mastery breakpoints are not a thing. If I have 93.82% drop amount increase, means that I 93.82% of the times get 2x, otherwise x1. Next bracket gets you to 102.19% so you get x3 with 2.19%, the rest of the time x2. In the end it is still a 8.37% overall in loot, there is no bigger difference in that one than in any other bracket.
do you have a vid on cash shop priority buy list as far as QOL, not really over the top pay to win like gear enhancing stuff.

I havent fired up my ps4 in a while, but I do think magic tools are on console, but the mastery stuff is not.

I went to check out the CM after watching this video, both are sold out lmao. People use it themselves, I don't think they sell it anymore after the removal of rng boxes, but if you don't cook or do alchemy and just sell it is solid money if a person has 1200 mastery or more.

i want to put into perspective to get some ways to get 650 gather mastery with the life skill gear excluding the chest piece for people who still want to use silver embroider for exp. you would need all Tri geronoa accesorys 162 mastery , 1 III tri tool dostter tool 180 mastery, and master 12 gathering. for 650 if your thinking about self enhanceing. or all duo II geroanoa Acc, Tet dostter tool, and 11 master gather.

I further i get into black desert, the more I start to realize that you should never throw anything away lol
I don't have the menu button 'totem' after the crystals upgrade was done. That button was replaced by a Crystals button in the inventory menu. Where is the Totem inventory button now?
For example, if I have loggia accessories will that stack with the magic tool?
If you can't acquire the magic tool because there's none on the market, what's the next tool to use? Lucky tools?

What kind of char would you consider doing gathering with? Main char (which will be at a lot of grinding spots) or Alt which is doing Cooking and Fishing or somethign completely different?
Whatever you want to use. I do it all on my main just because I enjoy my character and like playing him. Real min maxers have different alts at different locations to maximize efficiency and minimize travel. That feels like a job to me so I don't do it
But at the end of the day its up to you!
When you run out of energy do you just keep buying potion from market to refil or is it not worth ?
Depends how much money you're making. I buy them when I'm making greater than 70mil an hour at a spot. That way I'm still making ~50 mil an hour.
how you make more gathering trips when u consume all energy ?
is it good to do gathering on alts with all the gear and stuff or focus only on one character?
You have two options:
You can turn an alt's energy into energy potions and give them to your main or
You can swap the gear over and gather more.
The first is good if you have a really high level gatherer. The second is better if you are just starting out.

It's based on averages against data offered by the community.
Being new new new, I'm only level 30 atm. I'm guessing you are saying that once you are max level, and then want to go gathering, then this is what you do. It looks like the blood gathering is with mobs 40+? Can't really tell but other areas around say so and I've never been around there. Either way, some help with a totally player would be helpful. This did help some, but I feel I need to do more poking around elsewhere for more information.
Gathering can be done at level 1.... you walk out the starting area and buy an axe butcher knife or fluid collector. There are hundreds of locations in the game. More than I show in this video
Bought a Magic tool and couldn't equip it. Took me almost an hour to figure out that I couldn't use it because I have a seasonal character. (at least that's the best reason I could find, hope that is all it is.)
So as I understand it, Magic Tools give me the benefits of 650 mastery for no investment
And 750 mastery is roughly 1.5b
I hope those % gains are worth the jump in price :o

Hi, i may not be good at the game, and im partially doing gathering - Hunting, and i have only 126 or 128 energy, prefossional 5-8 gathering, and with great RNG i can kill close to 200 feather wolfes per hour - depending how fast i can kill them, and would say that 150-250 would be great point ( i've read somewhere that max energy is 638 or so, and from that PoV 300-400 would be optimal if you ask me)

it'll be worth it in due time. life skilling is pretty damn good in this game, and also serves to break the monotony of grinding.

It's anecdotal from life skilling streamers who have hundreds of thousands of gathers. idk where the link to the aggregated data was, but in my research I found the drop rate with magic tools was 80/25 (normal/rare) and for the 650 mastery the rate is 80/26 (normal/rare). At the end of the day, gathering mastery won't make a huge difference until you hit the 750 bracket that doubles base loot every time, anything before that is still going to feel like RNG.
