7:09 did he really just
I saw that too, what the heck lol
Yeah I was kinda wondering why Simp didn't just take the king right there. Maybe his brain refused to accept such a move from the opponent and just ignored it.
Yes he did
I mean simp always says "if you see a checkmate in one, look for better", plus i think its for viewer engagement
Glad I wasn’t imagining that 😂
7:09 Simp following his own mantra "If you see checkmate in one, look for better."
Since the king was under fire at the start of his turn, you could even say he had a checkmate in zero and looked for better!
so many comment at this, but this one with great explanation :D
"Very aggressive … [Opponent Resigns] … Not very aggressive."
I'm pretty sure the only person who might be able to defeat simp at duck chess is Eric Rosen at this point
Eric's the final boss
Who?
4:47 Should let him scholar's mate you and just capture the queen with the king
That allows Bxf7+ with Duck on g6. This prevents Simp from keeping duck on g6 after capturing bishop
lmaoooo duck chess is so funny
@@danielhoang289 You're right. I didn't even think about that one
6:26 i'm dead lmao
7:08 lmao
Chess Simp commiting a chess version of spawn killing for nine minutes straight, except for that one game.
7:07 Why oh why didn't you just take the king?
This is an impostor, simp does not talk this fast
4:23 What would've happened if your opponent had moved Bb5 and placed Duck on d7? Would you be forced to move a bishop/pawn/knight in the way before moving the duck?
c6 Duck c4 and the bishop is almost trapped
Use a handicap if you see a 1600 or lower duckchess player, these are so predictable and you've never fought a strong opponent in duck chess so far. Like play duck chess but you must move the duck to a useless square etc
5:20 f5
rofl
that is NOT a botez gambit
6:14
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6:16
wait ... WHAT ?????
I thought opponent blundered a king at 6:11 !! however duck can block it, but that blunders the other rook hah so it's a fork?
Mistakes happen tho. Good games
Very clever, Simp doesn't take the king at 7:09 to get more engagement on his video. Please help him by continuously asking him why he doesn't take it.
But why didn't he just kill the king at 7:09???
300 iq move, now people (including me) will post thousand comments about it 🧠
Also got to teach his opponent about the "can't place duck in the same square" rule by doing this
As a GM once said, "when you see a checkmate in 1..."
@@Kalulosuat this point it's checkmate in 0.
7:09 Simp flexing his overwhelming advantage by not giving checkmate immediately
7:10 if you mate in 0, look for better
7:08 couldn't you just take the king?
If you see a mate in 1, look for better - some grandmaster
The last two matches are painful lol. Hopefully this variant will get more players so you don't need to massacre a beginner two times in the row like that
7:08 why not just take the king there?
"If you see a mate in one, look for better"
It went full circle. A year ago - no way I was going to watch full chess matches. And now, I'm giggling watching 4 full ones.
I dont think that's what full circle means
3.5, to be precise. First game got cut.
@@graboidfan31Considering his opinion has completely flipped, it's like he did a half circle really.
7:09
Not taking the king immidietly? What a non-coward move
7:09 If you see a checkmate in 0, find a better one
7:10 he turned a non-mate-in-one into a mate in one, truly genius move
Wait… 7:09 coulda taken the king
Yeah, my thoughts exactly, but you know this is the Simp. If there's a Checkmate in 1, look for an even better checkmate.
"When you can see checkmate in 1, look for better"
Did that last guy just not understand how the duck works?
100%
couldn't you just take the king at 7:10?
yeah lol
He testing us to see whether we’re paying attention. 😂
The guy at 7 minutes literally just played a variant of Fool's mate
Wow, this is your highest winrate yet. We are reaching percentages never before seen.
My brain is too smooth to follow duck chess
man I love these
I think these definitely appeal more to the experienced chess players tho
Simp, instead of editing the extra moves, just load the game results, and press the arrow buttons to advance through the turns. No need for editing at all.
6:12 Queen takes rook and block with duck ? is that a thing or am I missing something ?
the other rook can capture the queen then?
It was a thing, he actually did it one move later. I also didn't understand why he didn't play that right away, seemed like the best move for me
yes, it's the best move
taking the free knight is good enough though
@@TheFreaxTux Not if you block with the duck, and he did it the next move.
Duck chess is my favorite series, let's gooooooo
2:07 'Twas the
I don't know why it is 1500% winrate. But he is an asian, so his math must be right.
(Note: this is just a joke)
I think Simp is bored and just seeing the craziest ways they can flex on their opponents
6:11 QxR and bloxking with duck wouldve won both rooks
7:09 is typical Asian energy, make 1+1 into an differential multi-variable calculus problem rather than just taking the king.
Love that the outro is back. You go dancing anime girl!
Why do you always put the duck on e5 instead of e6 on move 1? Are you that worried about them preventing you from pushing the e pawn?
7:09 I thougt that i was crazy till i show the comments seccion
7:09 the mercy with the clear duck misplacement. How generous.
Anti spoiler blocker
hi make sure to get some fresh air and have a great day
not very effective :(
Good work.
An anti spoiler blocker should have spoiled us the video.
6:10 - That blunders a king, doesn't it? Qxf1Θe1. He can stall by blocking the checkmate with a duck, but with the queen on the back rank, checkmate will soon follow.
Video 178 of asking simp to play fps chess
when starting your duck chess games, if you blocked e6 instead of e5, would the pawn be able to jump to e5, or are you secretly hoping that your opponent plays e6?
Simp literally got +15 comments including this one just because he didn't take the king at 7:09
Clearly Simp has never looked into a mirror
The first match, would be nice to see the 10th and 20th move, just to have some coherency instead of a hard break.
1:25 Wouldn't it have been better to get the pawn on f2, forking the queen and the rook, forcing the king to take it and therefore getting rid of the ability to castle?
Simp is pretty good at chess. Simp you should play fans.
7:09 Simp probably just wants to extend his video to beyond 8 minutes
Gee, I think something happened at 7:09 based on the comment section, but I'm not sure.
can't wait for Simp to win the 69th game in a row, it must be a special episode
at 6:12, could've just taken the rook and duckblocked the other rook smh
3:07 idk man sounds kinda lazy
This is probably a new record video length right?
they should really add duck chess to lichess its one of the best variants ngl
5:19
I was gonna play g6. Didn't even see the hanging queen.
Can't you choose opponent's rating range in these variants?
7:11 This has to be something he just didn't see during the game right?
7:09 teaching a beginner a duck chess trick I see, very wise
Aha, duckchess is like chess, but 1500? there equals 100
Not quite, since it's the starting value, so it really just tells you that the opponent is likely new to the variant, but may otherwise be a skilled player. In regular chess, the starting Elo on the site is 400, so you need to lose a whole lot to drop down to 100.
@@j.h.6835 and why it is not 100? "If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck". Start from 100 ("level 1"), grow up, it works well in every game, but apparently not in chess
@@lockaltube The general idea with the matchmaking is to have everyone playing against opponents who are more or less on their level. The people who come to the site quite often already have some amount of experience with chess, however, and having them play against those who are already on a long losing streak due to being rank beginners would just be frustrating for everyone involved. So it makes sense to start everyone off some ways above the bottom floor: The people with experience with the game will more quickly ascend to their actual Elo, while those without will sink to a level where they'll only be matched against other beginners (and smurfs like Simp).
As I understand it, the starting Elo is higher for the variants because it's presumed that people who try them already have a very solid understanding of regular chess, making the 1500 rating a better guess of their Elo. Further, there are far fewer people playing the variants, and Elo is ultimately a statistical measure which can only be established through comparison to a sufficiently large sample pool, so leaving a larger "margin of error" in both directions makes sense. The people who are bad at the variant (or just chess in general) will again eventually sink down, to be matched with others closer to their level.
7:09 fake asian. didn't even capture the king
6:15 does queen f8 duck e8 win 2 rooks or am i dumb
7:10 shook me to my fucking core
25 minutes
Its okay I missed 7:09 too
Duck
7:10 Negative testosterone.
7:09 mate in q OK, mate in 2 tho
He did a duck-sperado
how does this work
People wondering why he didn't take the king at 7:09 forget that Simp needs to convince the site that he's not smurfing.
Y u no take king?
I toe. Aa
I love you ❤❤❤❤
7:10 WOW
7:08
Simp is such a chad that 16 years of experience means nothing to him
This guy is really good with engaging with his viewers
Love this variant
3:48 You can either say "will (probably) end" or "is (probably) going to end", "will probably going to end" is wrong
The music in this video made me stop making comments about your music.
