I’ve been to New Orleans quite a few times and I absolutely love the gumbo there so I was excited to try the gumbo at Tiana’s Palace. Let me tell you that gumbo did not taste like New Orleans, it was way too salty and a bit too spicy for me. I will go back there next time but plan on just trying their red beans and rice with probably the kid’s meal melted ham and cheese sandwich.

I know I’m thinking ahead of myself, but March is actually world language month so what I think would be cool for a main channel video or a Vlog would be for you and mom to both speak forms of Chinese for one whole video because now that I think about it I’ve kind of heard her speak Cantonese once in a while

the bulgogi and cheese sandwhich looks DIVINE!! i make something like that at home w/ leftovers and add kimchi. the secret to the toasty exterior is to use mayo, and since I'm extra I use kewpie!! btw I LOVE your mom's haircut! looks so chic :)

I was just thinking about the food from Tianna’s palace earlier today. So good! Yeah the gumbo was a little salty though. The shrimp and grits were really good too and I don’t usually care for grits. Now I’m gonna make gumbo for Thanksgiving 😂

the ride footage came out great on the new camera! i liked what i got at tiana's place when i went - i got the plant based option, the 7 greens gumbo, and also their cornbread. both were tasty! but i agree, the gumbo could've came with more rice :)
Joy is such a good restaurant! Next time you're in that area, you should check out Tacos Sinaloa (vampiros), Colorado Donuts (ube cake), Troy Burger (burgers), and El Huarache Azteca (huarache and aguas frescas). Love your videos!

Weird hotel seat! 😂 I agree with you about the Tiana's chicken dish. I think it's the least tasty entree. But I'm surprised that gumbo was so salty. That hasn't been my experience in the past. Possibly just a bad batch?
The weird hotel seats to me seemed like something to hang clothes on before ironing them or something, now I know as well. (I don't stay in hotels often... at all )
