You didn't even ask the juicy questions. We pretty much already knew everything that was said in this interview. What you should've asked him were his plans going forward. What does he have in store for LUNA 2.0? Will USTC be repegged? Will he continue making another stablecoin? Does he know what's going on with $LUNC and what are his thoughts on Terra Rebels? Cmon man you had a good opportunity to finally interview him and you blew it.
It's pretty obvious that he agreed to answer to some questions and not to others. You can just tell by the editing and cuts during the interview. Someone else will have that opportunity eventually

@@coinage_media you added an "explainer" to minimise Do Kwons role in the lead up to the crash and to steer the narrative away from fraud ("it wasn't big enough", "one well timed trade", etc) - if you cared about setting the scene you would have started with Do Kwons previous stablecoin flop, or his friend's previous stablecoin flop, and then showed do kwon still blindly declaring terra indestructible and verbally abusing the many people who publicly questioned his overconfidence in UST and the anchor rates - and there were plenty.
This "nobody could have foreseen what happened" narrative is straight from Do Kwon's lawyers and this is so crucial to his defence case that you spend a third of the "interview" selling that nonsense before you even let little Do show his face.
NB he doesn't say sorry at any point - also likely from his lawyers. This is a carefully coordinated piece of propaganda, it just looks good because he is a billionaire so can afford the best.

They're smiling and he's so calm, you can see his life wasn't as affected as many of the people that lost all with the depegging of UST. They're in a super amazing office, with a nice view, aaah what a greateful life.
Well you also can't blame anyone else but yourself when going all-in a single asset, no matter what asset that is. There is probably no single entity on earth that lost more than Do himself in nominal terms, he probably 'only' had 99% in LUNA instead of 100%. Which would be the right thing to do anyway.

My take:
- You don't just develop an alterative entertaining ego to match the community. Vitalik doesn't hype up the ETH maxis - he's well rounded enough to even write up an essay on why being a BTC maxi isn't bad. You had the chance to prevent the cult of Terra from happening and you didn't.
- Ok if you're in crypto, you know everything happens in cycles. The macro economy happens in cycles. The world happens in cycles. Did you really think BTC was going to stay at highs forever? Yes Do admitted to being wrong but was there really no one around him that questioned how dumb of a perspective that was?
- Does it really take that long to answer what fraud is? Terra/Luna may have had fraud but Anchor may be a different story...
Do Kwon is an brazen human being. Look at the lies from the very beginning of the interview. This case is based on a clearly moral issue.

This was a puff piece. Do Kwon funds Coinage, and the questions thrown at him were softballs and not rigorous.

Do Kwon is unwilling to pursue the people who destroyed $60 Billion worth of equity he was resposible for, and triggered the destruction of $1 Trillion worth of equity across the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem.
He isn't even INTERESTED in any sense of justice, accountability or even recognition of who these bad-faith actors were.
If nothing else, confidentiality agreements, fiduciary agreements were violated, breaching the law. Or they were illegally surveilled, conspiracy was comitted.
It wasn't just a series of clever trades and use of leverage.
Who would ever entrust him with any fiduciary or operational responsibility of an enterprise of any type ever again?
So much for decentralized money. In the end he said it himself, it all hinged on a single, centralized point of failure, Do Kwon himself.

Surely there are very sophisticated ways of testing the water. For example trying $10 million, then increasing to $20million if that's not working then you stop and save the rest of the money.

Funny how Guz has not asked him a single question on what he will do to pay his debt. Not once has Kwon admitted he plans to pay back people who lost savings. I think his time is shrinking and whoever gets kwon extradited will have last laugh. If kwon doesnt commit to paying back, there is literally no workaround it.
Kwon cannot just say he will build for the next 20 years, without paying his debt. He will end up in prison for the next 20 years or more and i am afraid time is running out for him. His deputy fleece needs to build the interface he promised soon and give something, like return the lost UST assets immediately or promise to return in the future with a date around it.

It was revealed even before Terra's collapse, I entered crypto September 2021 and knew Do kwon had worked on a stable coin before but I never had time and experience about depeg's and crypto as whole. My family has lost a lot of money in Terra's collapse but i wouldn't put more shade on this person about his past project as if it was hid from the world when it wasn't. Atleast by December 2021 I read about his previous project, You could also find it on one of crypto banters video as well.

Hi! While that video was mostly accurate-- Do Kwon wasn't "the" investor of our parent company. We have many crypto investors from earlier this year, including SBF, John Wu, and many others. So while that relationship might have gotten us the interview, that's where the relationship ended. We never shared any questions with Do prior to the interview (you can tell based on the multiple pauses he gives and a few moments where Zack corners him), and Do Kwon did not see the video before publishing. We completely understand any skepticism. We were the first to disclose he was one of the investors because we knew that this came with skepticism. I pretty much lost all of my savings and a lot of borrowed money in this project. But I still think Do Kwon made his best to create something revolutionary. It was my mistake I got so greedy and forgot about a simple risk management. Only I'm to blame for my loss. Tought me a valuable lesson but I keep believing in the crypto space and starting from scratch.
Also, nobody should attack his family... this is just disgusting and those people should be ashamed of themselves.

@@j__.adam69 I lost all of my savings and my bank dept will be repaid in 8 years. I live in the center/eastern european country. As an engineer I don't even have the salary as most US people working in mcdonald's. That's the reality.
But I can admit my own mistakes and try to learn from them as this is only reasonable thing to do. Blaming others won't bring my money back.
