Just keep praticing and hang around a player much like Jayson and you will get better your ear is important as well to be able to hear the crazy chords. The flat 5's 9's shart 5 and 9's and know where to place them. It takes time also learn song that already have the chords licks and progressions in them. Learn them in all 12 keys. Then make them yours. Listen to jazz, fusion jazz 80's 90's pop, classical and take chords and progressions from them and put it in your playing as well as old school gospel and the new neo soul and r&b styles.
@@MISTAMUSIK thanks for the advice. I was already learning some songs I used to play for a choir in every key (i.e His mercy endureth forever) but I haven’t mastered all of the chords used in it even though I can play the song.

Think about it you have other great advanced keyboard players and organist on that skill level who could do the same thing with relative pitch alone Joe Pryor is a great example of that.
