Utsu-P is a great producer as well as one of my favorites. Mikusabbath is a reference to the vocals he used which name is Miku Hatsune. Vocaloid is a voice bank - pre-recorded syllabes that can be put together with different tone and pitch. There's a huge variety of them all having their own names and designs. Corpse Attack! and An Alien's 'I love you' are one of his most iconic songs and I definitely recommend listening to them. He also recently created a cover of 'Rolling Girl' which is a song made by wowaka who died two years ago.
@@dicodec You guys mentioned about the "hole" in the mix. There's a very interesting reason for that. Utsu-p knows how hard his music is hitting in each moment of the song, so whenever the music is hitting too hard and is about to overwhelm us, he does that little half a second of pause to get us ready for the next part. That way his music never gets exhausting even though it's really hardcore. You can listen to utsu-p's music for hours non-stop and never get tired. But for most other hardcore bands, the music is always over 100%. It's always cranked up to 11. So after a few songs we get tired of listening to them. What most of the bands do is have a few "soft" songs between the heavy ones. What utsu-p does is have the relaxing sections of music in the same song.
damn, it's so fucking cool to see vocaloid producers have their stuff recognized outside of the small niche of fans there is. there's a very dedicated amount of fans who love music with vocalsynths, and it makes me so happy to see these awesome pieces get recognized and respected by more than just the few of us who even know what vocaloid is, haha! great insight from you guys, just subbed
You probably picked up one of Utsu-Ps masterpieces. May I recommend watching the live video of Utsu-Ps song "Hyper Reality Show" from the Magical Mirai 2020 concert. Then you will find out "who" that Miku is. ;)
@@dicodec I just realized, that there is no official video so I guess you can't play due to copyright issues. Still I wanted to mention, that the missing low frequencies are actually his style. You should try "Psychokinesis" (it's on his official YT channel) which is from 2009. The variety in this song is just impressive. Though be careful entering the world of vocaloid. You just scratched the surface but didn't open the door so far. Beware, you might never come back.
Better idea - ask them to to react to Kikuo's "Sorry, I'm Sorry" song. Although it's lyrics may be way too non-PG, so a bunch of innocent snowflakes may be doomed with nightmares till the rest of their lives.
3:30 - The song is not about trashing another genre of music. It's just the story that this song is telling! :) 5:00 - I think it's because you're watching it on TH-cam. I don't feel like it's mising the deep end at least!

I wouldn't call him the best Vocaloid producer overall. Especially from an instrumental perspective I would consider him only average. Though here is the mighty "but": He is very good in putting a whole song together that supports Mikus voice. He has a great feeling for good melodies. And that's often far more important than just instrumental skill. Best example would be Highway to Hell. Probably the easiest riff ever written... but you still have to write it. 5:35 I agree. I listen to A TON of vocaloid and that’s my biggest criticism. All the songs are fully synthesized in a computer. It lacks that depth of a proper recording. Having said that, I believe Utsu P does record his guitar, but that’s it to my knowledge. There are Vocaloid producers who do use better mastering techniques (Such as Gyari) that drastically improves the depth of the sound. I personally like the brighter sound of vocaloid songs, but to each their own.
