My friend and I were traveling to Octoberfest many years ago. There weren't door jammers at that time, but we tipped a chair on the door and placed one of the big European hotel keys on it. Middle of the night we heard a clatter and sat up in our beds. It was dark, but there was a guy already in the room. He turned around and got out of there. A door jammer would have been better. If they have them for windows that would be good. I stayed in a luxury condo once with a window that wouldn't latch. Supposedly, there were no other units available and no-one available to fix. Check your windows when you check in, esp for ground floor units or those with nearby balconies. Another tip I've used is to buy a cheap wedding ring, not flashy, and wear it when feeling uncomfortable. I love the embassy tip.
Awesome! I dream to travel solo, I have a gal pal in Italy with whom I will stay... need to firm up some financials on my end and then get my booty across that pond. I will stack Dublin, Ireland 💚☘
One of the best guests on Cityline! Very useful tips for solo female travelers!

Great tips, thank you! It is hard to stack nearby countries to your trip when you are working with limited PTO. 😬
