I've just replaced the battery in my mobile. This video helped to decide whether I should start it at all.

Sadly the video isn't showing all of it, that phone has been opened and tampered with before...
Preheat to ~80C to soften the adhesive around the phone, around the camera cover and to the right of the cameras. Only use plastic cards/picks and a suction puller to open, metal spudgers will scratch the inside coating/paint on the glass back cover. I'd also remove the speaker (the orange MI tamper sealed screw and all the green ones on the bottom) and take the ribbon cable out of the way those are easy to damage while pulling and prying the adhesive away. The red rubber gasket thingy that is stuck on his back cover slides into the slot of the frame over the power/volume buttons before reassembly...
Remove the old adhesive and replace with a fresh one, they cost next to nothing and you don't end up with gaps or openings for dust/moisture to enter.
I just did the repair, I don't do it for a living, I fix other stuff and have a dayjob but that was a sloppy job on a previously tampered and opened phone.

How to preheat at home without special tooling?

@@צחישטיין-כ4ח I just bunged mine in the oven at the lowest setting which was 80C for 10 mins, took two attempts, but I'm in with no damage. Targeted the bottom with a suction puller, got my finger nail in first, then a spudger, and it pried open after that. Now I'm in with no damage, I'm going order a replacement battery on Amazon right now lol

For me, the battery came out quite easily. It needed some force applied gently.

I used a heat gun set to 100˚C, but it needed much time. I think higher temperature would be ok as well. Or just preheat on the 3D printer's hot bed and apply more heat to the edges buy the heat gun.
The camera island was a challenge, it also glued around the edges, but I was afraid to apply to much direct heat to the cameras (I didn't have Kapton tape).
