  • In this video I take a look at the 2023 Duotone Slick D/lab 6m.
Is this wing worth double the price of the Dacron version?
How does it compare to the 2023 Dacron version and the SLS version?
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments.

I'm looking forward to your North wing reviews -- hopefully you'll be testing the Mode Pro and comparing it to the Duotone wings. I own both Slicks and the Mode -- IMO both very nice wings. Keep the reviews coming -- great work!

Thanks mate. North reviews are in the works. Lack of wind has been a problem, as I like to spend a fair amount of time on a wing before I review it. Hopefully, I'll have the Loft pro and the Mode pro out in the next few weeks. Also coming will be the SF and HA wings and the Swell board. 🤟

Good first up review. Love the camera angle. Clarifies the comments about distortion. Did feel I got lost a little midway thru the video. So how much is it again? I’ve held off upgrading, still using the old slicks. would love the carbon slim boom upgrade alone. Cheers

Thanks mate. The new Dacron version is a huge upgrade, the d/Lab takes it to another level.

Hello Ocean sender! I want tobask you about yourbfoul set up as I am about your weight. I want to buy 3 sizes of the sf 1230-1080-930 I also own a downwind board 7'6x20=100 litres that takes flight early. Hace you tried any of the other sf wings sizes? what fuse are you using 60 or 70? i olan to use the foils for winging, prone surf and downwind. Thanks in advance.

Yes I have used all 3. I currently use the 1230 and the 1080. The 930 is a great foil, but I prefer to be on the HA850 when the wind is up enough for the 930. The 1080 is my daily driver with the 600 fuse and chopped 215 tail and 4'10" 50Lt Swell . The 1230 is my light air foil paired with my downwind board, a KT Dragonfly 7'4 105 Lt. Took a while to find the right combo to get the 1230 to work for me, as it's designed for heavier riders. The best combo ended up being the 700 fuse with the 210 tail. This gave the foil some much needed speed and slowed the pump cadence down. It's now my go too wing for dock starting, flat water paddle ups and super light air. I mainly use the 1450 for small swell, light wind SUP down winding, the glide is insane, something the 1230 doesn't really have. The HA850 is my go to when the wind gets up to 15 - 20 plus or decent size swell. I use the 600 fuse with the HA foils. If the wind is 25 plus or bigger conditions I'll use the 700 with the HA850 for more pitch control. Hope this helps, please feel free to contact me if you have any more questions.
