    I want a smaller version that i can hang around my neck. This one is way too heavy for that. I may be able to enjoy my garden in the summer with this.
    Thanks T & S

    This is such a great idea that I didn't know was a thing. It's one of the few products that would have me considering picking up on another battery line, but i suppose it could also work with adapters. Might have to look into this one. Bonus is that if it falls into the hot tub you don't get fried.

    If Makita released a whole bunch of household products like Ryobi and offered the 1.5 or 2.0ah batteries it would get everyone buying Makita for pure convenience and availability. Ryobi have the Bug zapper, bucket top misting fan, hot glue gun, flex shaft dremel style rotary tool, power scrubber for vehicle, 80v ride on mower, and quite a few other things. i have the Mellif brand Fakita hot glue gun that works great, and also the power station style soldering gun from Mellif, but id love to have legit versions of these simpler tools. Hopefully the Outdoor Adventure LXT line is an introduction to this.

    Ryobi have a knack for coming up with useful stuff. This is much more useful for me than a battery microwave or kettle or coffeemaker. Anyway I’m not buying another battery system so it’s either XGT or nothing.

    Wonder if/when we'll see that version in the US - the one I bought several months ago doesn't have the USB charging port or phone holder. ...and interestingly the Ryobi website I reach from the US currently doesn't show a version with either feature either..... No complaints here though - just interesting to see there's a newer(?) version out that doesn't (yet?) seem to be available in the US.

    Well fortunately I have the Ryobi handheld blower to blow it out…lol! The blower isn’t as good as the Makita version but it does the job! If you like Ryobi or not everyone should have a Ryobi battery just because they make some tools that no one else makes…lol! Great review, I’m looking at getting this zapper myself!

    I bought the 2 pack last fall. I love it and it's very useful especially during the summer season here in the US.
    I got mine as a Factory Blemished Unit at Direct Tools Outlet for a deep discount during one of their many Holiday Sales.

    I had to laugh when you said the mrs was a mozzie magnet. I know people who just get mobbed my mozzies. I do not. I suspect its because many years ago I replaced all the blood in my system with beers. Maybe mozzies dont like beers?
    So big ryobi guy now?

      Im a bit of a makita racist too.
      That being said im also one of those people who at a restaurant will see something on the menu that i have no idea what it is and order it. Yes that can be a gamble, but you don't know if you like something if you haven't tried it.

    But…..will a makita battery work on it?

  • @coondogtheman
    @coondogtheman 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I just watched a video where a guy made this mini camper vehicle on tracks and part of a greenhouse and he spent the night in the woods and there was bugs everywhere. He should get one of these and hang it outside.
    I like how it actually makes a zapping sound when a bug gets zapped. I have this small lantern zapper and it does zap bugs but no satisfying pop sound. Might have to address that because I have capacitors that are used in many of the hand held racket style bug zappers..

    the advantage of having bats around the house is that bugs are non-existent. it is absolutely stunning how much these critters can eat, totally devastating insect population in a half mile radius.

    I would really like to see Ryobi on the Japanese market.
    Makita makes good tools but Ryobi just cares more about the home owners and ordinary people.
    Makita still does not offer a Power Delivery (PD) for their batteries, even though the 40V have a huge amount of Wh available.
    Ryobi - PLEASE save Japan from Makita. 😂

    • @nominalvelocity
      @nominalvelocity ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But Makita has like 9000 flavors of angle grinder! Surely you need an angle grinder or two. Maybe one for each hand?!

    • @valdius85
      @valdius85 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nominalvelocity
      Yes, this is what home owners DIYers need - a wide variety of angle grinders. 😄
      I like what Makita offers what I like it more that RYOBI offers more of I would use daily.
