I think that the most awesome part about this is that Wario just doesn't give a flying fuck. Wario is fighting a guy whose powers match (maybe even exceed) his, a guy who could possibly end his existence in a heartbeat, and he just doesn't fucking care. He's just slapping this big lug of shit around, shaking his pockets dry, and throwing him into a wall. Keep in mind this is the same guy who (according to an earlier comment) cowers in fear of Bowser, the comic relief villain of the main series, emphasis on *COMIC RELIEF*!
I was 8 when I beated the shake king for the first time and when I did just jumped from the chair and screamed my lungs out, because I felt like I was on top of the world. Good times, my childhood of gaming. Now im an adult man I still play this for the nostalgia and because I think its the best Wario/Nintendo game ever made! Come on Nintendo give us a new one on the switch, Please!

Whenever I hear the shake kings tune and stare him in the face, I can't help but be happy to fight. Best boss of wario to me and trust me, even the clown Rudy or Syrup's genie had nothing on this guy.
I can't tell you how many times I have beaten the shake king, he is such a fun boss and I wish this man would be added to smash he has so much potential. And when you have gotten all three stars on the fight plus gotten all 80000 coins plus found all his secret weak points AND even beat him in record time, you really begin to love this character and fight X3

It's been a while since I played, I don't remember if you can replay bosses or not. However, this video was recorded on a new game file, so it would have been a first encounter in that sense. As for tips? Can't say I remember, just beat him sooner than later - and of course watch the video for further help!
When I was younger and went against the Shake King without tutorials like this I won’t lie it was a very difficult battle. I was the first of all of my friends to beat him. He was just that hard.
Reason for that second one is because TH-cam (last I checked) ALWAYS stretches a submitted video to a 4:3 ratio which can really screw up some submissions. I use AviDemux for most of my editing, but some people swear by VirtualDub. Both are free, and both do the job, but they each have their quirks and can be somewhat confusing at first. If you want any further information, go ahead and send me a message.
The game definitely feels easier than those two on your first time through, but the secret levels are definitely hard enough to challenge you at least a little. They try to capture the spirit of those older games and I think they do a decent enough job, even without transformations.
A "Video capture device". It basically adds video/sound input to your computer which you can plug conventional electronics into (like the red/white/yellow cords from your game system). Just like the ones you have on the back of your TV.
If you've beaten the game, they'll tell you on the map select screen if there's a hidden map or not. Then, in the level, the map's location will be shown by a sparkling light.
Most people won't be collecting them before beating the Shake King because they wouldn't know where to find them. During a second playthrough, you are told on the level select screen whether a level has a secret map or not, and when you find the location in the level sparkles will designate the spot. I've already played through the game before, so, I knew the spots.
All I need is that opening when he is about to slam the ground. Odd you can contest that when normally you just make him stutter. Eh, almost 100% the game, its been a great and occasionally frustrating ride.
It takes enough health to end 20 seconds before and avoid the last attack (a hardest one jumping on him while avoiding the blue ball). And for me is even easier to do it this way. Your videos are great anyway ;). Cheers.
No, the one you are thinking of is Odama, I believe. Ikaruga is a Shooter like Raiden - where you control a ship at bottom shooting at enemies coming from the top.
You're good. Respect to you for defeating this boss without taking damage and within the time limit. I wouldn't even try doing that. What do you get for getting 100% of everything in this game?
All those bouncing sparks at the end can get in your way when you are trying to jump on top of the Shake King. You see that they disappear after a set time, right? I've found that if you are able to delay him a bit, that they should disappear just before you have to start jumping on him.
Ground-pound? Oh, "butt-stomp". Doesn't that just take off a smidgen of his health? Doesn't seem to be worth the trouble... And I didn't know you could counter the fire attack. Neat! (Had a VERY quick look at your new video, and I hear you are having a little trouble with your set up.) 2 things: Deinterlace (gets rid of those weird lines) and manually crop to a 4:3 ratio (640x480, for example) or manually add in black bars on top and bottom to maintain widescreen BUT still have a 4:3 ratio.

You know, the Shake King acts almost like Wario. You could even say he's somewhat of a copy of Wario. Same moves, similar motives (but for Wario, it's only to get rich), and similar posture.
@GuruShyGuy It seems to depend on whether you interrupt his fireball attack or not. If you let him perform the entire attack, he'll only shoot out 3 (at least, that's what it seemed like when I did it)
I vaguely remember managing it once, but it's not worth pursuing since you have to give up interrupting a "Ground Pound" of his. I figured that maybe somebody could figure something out since the balls are timed, after all. (Thanks!)

Nothing is more disapointing to me then lack of epic final boss music yet when u can still make it epic... you know you made an epic game and im not gonna lie, that was pretty epic. It still surprises me from lack of Waluigi. It drives me crazy he hasnt come in to screw around. Two words for the new game. Epic multiplayer. Make it happen NINTENDO!!!

I don't get it. For some reason the Shake King keeps shooting FOUR electric ball at me instead of three. That makes the time and health missions that much harder to complete. :/
Two ways to stun the guy: One: Jump on him when he charges at you. Keep jumping on him until he crashes into a wall. Punch him 5 times to stun him. Two (DIFFICULT TO PULL OFF!): Use an Earthquake Punch right before the BOSS uses one, and the boss will be stunned instantly.
