This is beautiful. I like more color and flowers and antiques mixed with new. Beautiful paintings, too. Love the old kitchen farm table there. French country is my favorite. I like modern conveniences though.

Absolutely! Designing for smaller spaces can be incredibly rewarding. By maximizing natural light, using versatile furniture pieces, and optimizing every square inch, you can create a bright and airy atmosphere that feels spacious and inviting. Title should be changed to very large wealthy homes with cottage decor. Like to see this design style located to a smaller footprint. The lack of color in my opinion is an indication of a designer that does not know how to work with color and texture.

I wish design people stop would using white couches. The white couch stays white for one day, lol. I hate white couches. And why put white couches in a house with kids for heaven's sake? I'm old and I still can't handle a white couch. Also, yawn. No creativity or imagination.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! White couches can indeed be challenging to maintain, especially in homes with kids. It's great to explore alternative colors and materials that suit both style and practicality. Creativity in design is all about finding unique solutions that resonate with individual preferences and lifestyles. What colors do you prefer in interior design?

Many people with kids and pets have white sofas and chairs which are made of a "performance fabric" that is designed to be durable, stain resistant, and easy to clean. Even if you get chocolate or coffee on it, you can clean it off. I've seen it done myself.
