I heard you couldn’t do ca to ca loads if you don’t have a MCP. And Sammy these rates would be good two years ago but inflation of all our expenses voids that. Insurance premiums went up, fuel, def, trucks, trailers, oil, tires, basically everything in the industry and we’re going back to rates from the 80s & 90s.

“No stream Tap to retry” I don’t even need to watch the video to know that I would let that freight sit on their dock for that little amount. It’s not one of those “these loads will line you up to a higher paying load” anymore at this rate.

@@markm0000 when I was at Landstar I’d book team loads out to CA from SC for $7k-$9500 and get a good load from an Apple account in Oakland to Nashville TN that paid $11,500 all in 4 to 5 days max. Now it’s lucky to do $13k a week and that’s pushing it. I sold out and now I’m burning someone else’s fuel until things go back to normal, if they ever do that is.

When you say Dallas used to pay $1,8 per mile 2 years ago you need to mention diesel was $2 per gallon, parts, tires, insurance was cheaper. Now diesel at $6 per gallon and with today's inflation it has to be at least $4 per mile.

The way freight is today that is a good paying load. I've been in this game over 21 year's. Thar gentleman tall heck maw $15,000 well for sho he'd be just setting there nit making any money. $7000 to me is a alright paying load and according where it's going you may get another ok paying load coming back. Sometimes some of these owner operator's will tell what they won't take and that's their choice but me I no the trucking industry game. I choose m6 freight in away that will suit me. I'll Sometimes take a nit so paying load that'll get me in an area I know get paying freight is coming out of. Yall learn the game and how its played.

Oh yeah, you're totally right. They didn't like me because sometimes I didn't want to totally screw the carrier because I was trying to build that long-term relationship with them. I also understood the cost of running a trucking company even back in 2015 and 16 although it was easier then it was still expensive. Unfortunately it's treated as a first job out of college and a lot of those kids have absolutely no respect for what we as drivers do.
