Today we visit Akaka Falls State Park, a state park on Hawaiʻi Island, in the U.S. state of Hawaii. The park is about 11 miles north of the city of Hilo. The park is home to two waterfalls, the namesake Akaka Falls, a 442-foot tall waterfall, and Kahuna Falls, a 100-foot tall waterfall. Akaka Falls State Park includes a pleasant 0.4-mile uphill hike will take you through a lush rainforest filled with wild orchids, bamboo groves and draping ferns. In this video, we hike around the park as we hunt for the two waterfalls. The goal is to tell you more about this interesting location and show you what you can see and do if you decide to check it out.
