In the calm, seaside city of Busan, South Korea, Nam Joo Hyuk was born into a humble family on 22nd February 1994. Although the star seems like he lives a glamorous life, things weren’t easy for Joo Hyuk and his family. On an episode of Radio Star, the actor shocked the guests and viewers alike when he shared that he had only cup ramen to eat for the entire year when he was only in the third grade. On top of that, his family lives in a house that doesn’t even have a toilet! Being an only child, he also didn’t have anyone to share his troubles with, but his parents have always been by his side. What’s more, Nam Joo Hyuk might not have been the Nam Joo Hyuk we know and love today. He actually had no plans of entering the entertainment industry, and initially wanted to be a basketball player ever since he was a child! He played for 3 years while in middle school but sadly, had to quit after he sustained injuries to both legs. Boasting a height of 187cm and towering over everyone, we know for sure that he could definitely have made it as a basketball player.

Though i knw him since 2015 yet I m here after 2521.. Cuz i can't get over beck hi jin.. All the characters he had played whether in weight-lifting fairy or start up or as haebek etc this one is by far his best performance as he played a grown man with real life crisis and how new pple around him helps nd support him nd its vice versa even though that is not true as he is younger than his partner.. This shows how much he has improved as an actor and has a long way ahead.. He deserves more love and stardom.. I am rooting for him with all my heart ♥

His Career would have skyrocketing more if he was still around.
They’re really good friends. I also sympathise with Jisoo. It was not fair at all how a single allegation ruined his career just when he got a lead role. I’ll never accept and be part of that cancel culture. It was even cleared at the end. BUT, how is it fair to bring up NJH here. He worked really hard to get were he is today and he well deserves it.
